  • UPDATE: 65,000 Mile Review: • Ford Focus ST 65,000 M... I have had my Focus ST for coming up on 4 years in November. The official spec is ST3 in Kona Blue. It's been a great car and this video covers exactly how I feel after having it for all that time. Enjoy!

    Know TV Tower Rd like the back of my hand... a light tap of the brakes as u crest the off-camber switchbacks ud get less wheel spin. Transfers more weight over the front and thus more grip.

    I LOVE my 2013 ST3! She has 82K almost trouble free miles on her and she is my daily so she gets very well taken care of. Synthetic oil changes every 5K miles with a filter change of course. I wash her 3 times a week at least and use ceramic paint protectant about once every 3 months. Keep those windows clean kids inside and out! Chris Fix (NJ’s) finest will show you in one of his videos on how to do that. I would not strip out the back of the car for the weight saving it will produce. I need my backseat! Besides the interior noise level will skyrocket.
    Jeeves what do you recommend to reduce noise levels in the car? Don’t they make some sort of stick on acoustic noise reducer?
    Thanks for the great ST reviews...Keep em coming.

I'd like you to keep the st if possible, kinda been growing/aging with you and your car for awhile now. IThe Type R is a blast! Like you said the Veloster N is a sweet car too and I think either one would draw even more people to the channel!! The ST is great but I think something new would be way good for the channel!! No matter what you do I know it will be great because I love the channel regardless of what cars you have!! Keep up the incredible work brother!! God bless!! 🙏🏻🚙🙏🏻

    Hey Gjeebs, Thanks for your informative videos. Just bought a used 2017 st2 for a pretty fair price (Los Angeles area). 19,600k with only 13,000 miles. Almost followed your advice and got the Veloster N, but I saved some money and also I surf, so the veloster just seemed too small to be using a roof rack regularly with. I opted out of the extended warranty, but considering a lot of the issues that can come up with the ST, do you think it might be worth it? That is an option. Usually I would never get one, but in this case just wondering if it would make sense. Also, What’s the next step I should take for proper maintenance of engine? I don’t want to end up like a lot of people who have st problems, but don’t seem to take care of them properly. Thank you! 🙏

    • @Gjeebs
      @Gjeebs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats on the ST! I would say use synthetic oil of your choosing and change it every 5k miles. As far as issues go, I haven’t had any plus yours is still under warranty. The issues usually arise when the car is driven hard and not warmed up or you decide to mod the engine.

    $10k in mods to make it stable for big turbo? No, definitely not. Many of big turbo guys in the ST community in under $5k. Stock brake size is fine, just upgraded pads and rotors are fine. Tires are a must, but there is budget good sticky tires. Full bolt ons can be grabbed for a good price if you don't buy from all the big shots, plenty of smaller ST community exclusive companies. AP3 and a tune is the next most expensive thing. No more than $700. Motor mount obviously due to power increase. Yeah, can be done under $5k reliably and comfortably. If you got a FB join some ST pages or use FOCUSST.ORG. Plenty of useful info out there. Plus, with BT you will only make 350whp before the stock fuel system can't keep up. ut even at that point the engine can handle it very well with a good tune and supporting mods.

And you don't have to throw $10k at it all at once! that's crazy talk. little by little...hence y its a build. Just do it. u have a ford focus not a precious vehicle.
