    I also have the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H but in 40mm. I'm about same length, a bit less in weight.
    Still after say 900km no punctures and I feel like they are fast. And yes I love them.

      Right on! 🤘They have been treating me well so far and faster than others I’ve tried. I’ve been thinking of going a size down or Two to 38c.

    Bicyclerollingresistance rates these well. 21.7 watts resistance at 31 psi. Kind of heavy though...570 grams. Nice tire but I'd probably choose the Conti Terra Speed. Less rolling resistance, lighter w/ nearly identical puncture resistance. Terra speeds are not nearly as long lived though making the Pirelli a very good value.

    How’s the tread holding up? How many miles do you think you’ll get out of em?

    How do these compare to the WTB Vulpine? Most of my riding is on local side streets during the week and hard packed dirt/gravel on the weekends up in Harriman State Park (not too far from you).

      I've tried both and these are faster. For that area these will be great. Try them out. They blew me away.

    Tried those but prefer Tufo or S Works Pathfinders the gravel H punctured very easily and wouldn’t seal that well

      @@dwaynepedals we don’t get many of those in Australia , running hookless wheels is great but not all tyres are hookless compatible

    Do I need to have a tubeless set up with these tires …

      You need to but you should want to make it tubeless.

    Very fast, but grip is the concern. Your bike looks great with them on though! Keep ripping 🤘

      Agree! I slid out during a gravel race lace month due to the grip and got wrecked pretty badly. I guess that is where the Gravel M version comes in.

    How do you find the grip on these? I'm going back and forth on them in 700x50 for my stormchaser since most of the gravel here is stereotypical high plains long flat farm road with some paved connectors. But there are areas more sandy, and during irrigation season there can be runoff making some short stretches muddy.

    • @dwaynepedals
      @dwaynepedals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don’t corner well at speed so proceed with caution. I went down during a gravel race over the weekend due to the slipping so traction can be a bit of a concern.

      I have them in 700C x 40 (but they inflate to 42mm). I've been pleasantly surprised by the grip because I expected them to not have much, but the only time I've had an issue is on steep (+20%) loose conditions, in which case I found it easy to spin the rear tire. I've ridden them on patches of frozen, compacted, snow and light mud without issue. We don't get much heavy, sticky, mud here so I can't comment on that, but my expectation is that they wouldn't be good. They're nice an fast on paved sections as well.
