Garrett ACE 400 VDI Numbers on coins and things

- Just a video showing the VDI numbers on a Garrett ACE 400 metal detector of various things and coins I find in the ground. This is a nice detector and you will find good things in the ground with it.

I'm a newbie and this may be a dumb question but the coins in the white cardboard holders have staples in them, would that affect the numbers?
Maybe so, but it would be of minimal effect. Good catch on that one.

Still have my 400,upgraded at end of last summer to an at max .My wife wants to detect this summer so I'm going to have to relearn my 400 for her sake,it's important to know your machine.
Absolutely. A detector will talk to you, you just have to listen!

Do you think that the VDI identification number list is almost exactly The same for the Garrett ace 400 as it is for the Garrett ace pro, besides the one discrepancy that you discovered and pointed out in your very helpful video? I own the 400 but I have a really great detailed and fully inclusive VDI list for the Pro so I was wondering if I could just use the Pro chart, along with your advice, because other than that I cannot find anything else on the internet at all that has a VDI number list for the 400? Thanks 😊
They will be close on both machines but depth will make a difference between the two. The Pro will read more consistent on deeper targets. Iron will always vary.
Hi 👋 are you sure theat ring is gold? Gold is a lower conductor than copper so it should be a more lower VDI number. It should be around 40. Great video though.
It is my wifes ring and she said it is gold, I am not gonna tell anything else 😎
