Love the Ace 400 I just bought one and I love it. I drove 2.5 hours to the beach yesterday and detected a few hours. Had a blast. Can't wait to find some good home places to search.
My mom was a collector. She taught me what she knows. She collected everything. Barbies, Coins, Stamps You name it. Yeah. A horder.This year I asked for the Garrett Ace 400 for xmas. Kurt, You out did yourself demonstrating the ACE 400. I'm getting ready to move up and this was my choice. I ordered the 55th anniversary package and got a great deal, at a little under $400.00. I can't wait to get it and go back at it, after my lung surgery. They're removing a mass and I pray it isn't cancer, I want to get back out there so bad. My dad got an AT pro for his birthday this year, I went hunting with him for months and fell in love with metal detecting! So for my birthday I got the Ace 400 and I have spent a lot of time on it! My favorite find is a 1919 wheat penny but I have found a LOT of modern coins! Like you said this thing really loves those coins!

I just got my first Metal Detector last week it's a Ace 400, I found an 1891 Morgan Silver Dollar on my fourth trip out we went to a patch of woods that looked like a house or barn was there at one time

My Ace 400 gets delivered tomorrow👍. I really liked the run down on the VDI numbers. I plan on laminating a small list and attaching it to my bag until I get used to the numbers. This was a great start on the list. Much appreciated.

I had ace 250, talk about a coin magnet, it paid for iitself the first month i had it. Obviously the 400 is going to be an awesome machine
You guys always get me started. I want to go out right now but I can't it is 2230 here in Texas and 108 degrees out. The Ace 400 sound much better than my Ace 250. Great hunt.
Hahaha! I'd love to do a night hunt in the summer. Much cooler but the the bugs would murder me. Sell the 250 before it's too late. The 400 is very impressive. HH
Can't the 250 is my wife's, even though she doesn't use it anymore. I use it off and on to keep in practice. I have a White's Treasuremaster. Oh, by the way the bugs aren't to bad here in central Texas. It takes at least 4 mosquitoes to pick up my 200 lbs. :)

Nice, today i actually hunted a nearby park with a backup detector i had stashed in the closet, my xterra 705 is toast or sucks at this park with emi and is unusable , so took the ace 350 for a go, i was amazed at the thickness of targets that the exterra missed its ike a new virgin park and its twice as deep, i think a 400 would be an even better back up with its new features and numeric id. Great video and a very good test drive of the 400. Gl and hh.

I'm always amazed at how many coins are lost... sometimes I wonder how that even happens.. especially back in the 1800"s the value of money I would imagine was more precious then it is today, yet it was lost left and right!!

There is literally money in the ground everywhere.Some places more than others but I've never hunted where I didn't find something.
I have a ACE 400 and a AT MAX. I like the tones on the 400 over the MAX and it certainly is lighter. If you don't want to spend a lot of money I would not hesitate to by the ACE. I have made many good finds with mine, some at 7 inches. I would opt for the Zlink wireless headphone system if you plan on doing some serious detecting. I have been detecting for a little over a year, it takes a bit to learn to use any detector to it's fullest ability but the reward pays off.

Thanx for this video. I own a XTerra 705 but I'm seriously looking at this Garrett Ace 400 (i for me because I live in France), seems to be a very good machine and the "Iron Audio" looks very fine. I don't know what to do.
