A great suggestion that I heard, is to do this in reverse. On day one get rid of 30 items, then 29 and so on. It is easier to find 30 items at the beginning than the end. Also, that is when you are most motivated for this challenge. Lastly, its way easier to complete the challenge when it gets easier not harder as you go.
I'm the same way. My surroundings affect me alot. If my house is out of order I am much more cranky and impatient and not fun. But when things are mostly In order I'm much more pleasant to be around. Great video girl. My mom wants me to come over her house and help her declutter and clean. I'm going to do it.

That's awesome! I've been on my Minimalism journey for 4.5 years now. I wouldn't go back. It does take constant constant keeping up with though, especially because I have 3 kids. Changing habits has been huge for me and not shopping just to shop.

It's definitely good to go at your own pace, most people get completely overwhelmed then just give up so it's important to do it a little bit at a time in my experience.
