  • All my best tips about reducing your liquids to EASILY pack your toiletries in your carry-on bag!
    Often our toiletries can take up the most space and weight in our travel bag. In order to minimize our luggage, One of the best areas to start is with our toiletries and personal products. Here I will be showing and exemplifying some travel products I like to use. That are also on the eco concious, eco friendly side of skincare and personal care product lines. This also enables me to not be overwhelmed by packing. Keeping my packing extremely minimal and therefore I can stop overpacking. Packing minimally is a good way to introduce ourselves into a minimalist mindset and the minimalism lifestyle, even if we are not minimal in other areas.

    the Dr. Bronner's solid bar is even better since it's not a liquid. I just cut it in half for travel. Lush also carries solid perfumes you can cut to size.

      That’s Great. However I like the liquid as I use it for toothpaste too. Also as I have very thick hair I find it easier to spread across my hair 😊 🧼

    My boyfriend a Travel with one carry on. He and my clothes in one carry on. Extrem ultralight minimalist. And we have pacsafe men bag and a crossbody ultralight bag.

    I think our lists are similar, though I have yet to find a lip tint I really like. Laziness has helped me so much with toiletries 😂 I'm down to:
    - Mascara (L'Oréal, because they have one that isn't black or very dark brown that doesn't flake easily)
    - Tinted SPF (MD Solar Sciences) or SPF (Earth Harbor) (I'm so picky because my skin stings with some even when they're only zinc)
    - Deodorant (Esca - tallow based, no baking soda to bleach my clothes)
    - Soap (something unscented; I have used Dr Bronners sometimes)
    - Makeup remover (Tesco)
    - Lip gloss (Lisa Eldridge, as moisturising and long lasting as a balm)
    - Tallow (for any other sort of moisturising)
    These are not just for travel, but for daily life as well. I don't wash my face (or body, or hair, except hands, and feet when dirty) so the makeup remover takes care of the tinted SPF and mascara, when I bother to wear those things. I need vinegar to rinse my hair in hard water as well, but I don't usually travel to places with hard water.

      Great 😊 Oh really that’s interesting about the vinegar and hard water 🚿 where we currently live it’s really bad. We have filters on all our taps & shower 🚰 to reduce the alkalinity but it’s still there abit. Does the vinegar help? 🤔

    Great Video. If someone here is watching from Germany or other EU countries, I highly recommend the deodorants made by Wolkenseifen. The small ones last half of a year at least, their tiny samples two weeks, I used mine four weeks. It is enough to use it once a day and they have many different fragrances.
    Greetings from Germany, Mary❤

    I don't bring any shampoo and conditioner bottles anymore. I use all natural shampoo and conditioner bars. They are brilliant!

      @SagelifeMinimalism  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nice 😊 I keep trying all kinds of shampoo bars but can’t get them to work for me 😂 They don’t seem to lather enough to spread across my thick hair. I wish they did as I would absolutely use them 😊

    I rarely wear make-up particularly in summer so what bit I've got is ancient so went I the bin this morning..was definitely more than 12 months old😮

    • @SagelifeMinimalism
      @SagelifeMinimalism  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      😂 😂 I know 12 months flies by doesn’t it. That’s why I’ve also started balancing the natural element of products with what I’m willing to waste, as obviously 2-3 months for the 100% natural products is completely impractical if we don’t want to waste products. 12 months for the not completely natural seems quick enough doesn’t it 😂

    • @trudifearns8509
      @trudifearns8509 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've finally ordered a Wild deodorant as that obviously won't get wasted. Then as for make I might get a blusher for winter to give me abit of colour so plenty of time to research the best option 😊

    These are some great tips, sadly as someone with curly hair I very much need 4 hair products or my hair will become a giant tangled knot 😭 but I will be trying some of these tips!

    • @SagelifeMinimalism
      @SagelifeMinimalism  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank You ☺️ I’m also a curly girl 😂 but I know we all have varying level of curls and comfort. Weirdly, although my hair can become quite dry in summer it’s not too bad the rest of the year. I’ve also discovered that sometimes if I use too many products my roots can become greasy even though the ends can be dry 😂 🤦‍♀️ So now I just use a leave in conditioner in the middle of summer. Something that protects it from sun, sea and chlorine too for holiday. Aveda and Nuxe do good products for this 😊

    • @sarh23
      @sarh23 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah that definitely looks like it works for you, your hair looks great! I think my hair is quite a bit curlier than yours, I use a shampoo, conditioner, oil, and a leave in conditioner, anything less and my curls pretty quickly start forming dreadlocks :( when I first started to go minimalist I tried various other things and learnt that the hard way and had to have some of it cut off, I find even normal shampoo makes my hair a mess 😢

    I just ordered the Wilde travel - I use Native but the don't have a travel non plastic version! Thanks for the recommendation!! I am shocked at all the waste people use daily and for travel! I have been trying to reduce all of our consumption. Not sure I will get to your one bag version but we never check and try to only bring what is needed. I feel like every trip I reduce more and more of the "just in case"s. Thanks I like your content!!

    I love how light you live and travel! 😍 I just came across with your channel and I am loving every single video I have seen so far.
    For traveling what do you do when it comes to body moisturizer or conditioner? Just curious, I’ve been trying to travel lighter but this two products I find I always need them, my skin is very dry and my hair is very thick and dry. 🥰🥰🥰

    • @SagelifeMinimalism
      @SagelifeMinimalism  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Welcome!! And thank you so much. When I’m traveling as I put on so much sun lotion which I just buy at the destination. I don’t moisturise aswell. Since doing this video I have just got a milky oil by Nuxe. It’s called sun. It protects your hair from getting very very dry in the sun and also from sea water and chlorine. You still need the spf lotion for skin though. It seems great so far 😊

      My backpack is just 28l and I manage to pack everything I need in there. I think you would be able to travel on that amount. You would just have to research your places carefully for safety and comfort. When I go to Japan I intend on staying in capsule hotels 😊
