As a part of my extreme minimalist wardrobe intentions I have created an even smaller capsule wardrobe. This capsule wardrobe has been selected from my already minimal wardrobe to speed up, the process of wearing out items in order to reduce the overall wardrobe.

I’ve created a capsule wardrobe from my minimal wardrobe in an effort to speed up the process of wearing out items- in order to reduce my overall wardrobe. How many clothing items do you think you would require for a capsule wardrobe - let me know in the comments below ⬇️ 👇

Wow, this is brillant! To wearing only I-want-to-get-rid-of-them items, to worn them out and get rid of them quicker. I have to do this myself, because some of my dresses I don't like, but they are in too good condition, to just toss them to trash.

Thank You. It’s amazing how if we only wear a small capsule constantly how much quicker the clothes wear out from constant washing. 😊

Thank you for sharing your lovely items! This is one category I have the hardest trouble paring down! I don’t have a closet full of clothes, but what I do have bothers me. We work outside quite alot, so I have to have several work clothing items! My clothes are mostly simple oriented, like jeans, etc. nothing fancy! I’m thinking of a more uniform color of clothes because, for me, it might be best! I sound completely puzzled!🤣

Thank you for your lovely comments. I think it takes a while for us to figure out what we really wear most often 😊 for instance for a long time I had a lot of shorts and skirts and I realised that in England they were just not practical especially cos I am quite a cold person 🥶 😂 so it’s taken me a while to finally be able to let go of these. I think your solution for yourself also sounds very practical and honest 😊

I have a couple of items that crush a lot. Instead of putting them through the washing machine & then ironing them, I handwash them, and drip dry them pegged to their hanger outside- no wrinkles!
    Thankyou for sharing.

I love your wardrobe! Since I started working from home, I found myself reaching for comfortable clothes 99% of the time. The 1% being when I had to go out and about, or when I had to dress for a video call. Feeling comfortable in what I wear is a huge influence of my style, and I can't see myself going back to "dressier" or "trendy" clothing items. My wardrobe is way smaller, and I absolutely love every item I wear.

We have four extreme temperature deviation seasons, so I won't ever have a wardrobe so small, but I have completely stopped buying anything that isn't an undergarment or to wear exercising. Going from being a big shopper to using up what I have is a great feeling, so congrats on your focus, it's an inspiration!

Thanks for sharing this. I tend to wear the same clothes all the time, yet have a wardrobe that is overflowing. As in a previous comment, I save a lot of my worn out stuff for working in the garden or cleaning ( not that I do loads of either 😂 but I struggle to get rid of even clothes with holes.... When they're really not wearable they do go to the charity shop rag recycling). I'll have a look at your other videos, but just wondered, are those clothes on the rack the only ones you own? How did you decide which to keep?
    Thanks!

Hi, yes the clothes on the rack are the only clothes I own. I did another wardrobe video a couple of months ago too. In this video a few items are in the laundry as I was focusing just on my ten items that I’m trying to wear out quicker 😊. I’ve never had that many clothes but I think it maybe used to be around 130 items at its biggest. It was a gradual reduction how I achieved it. I would go through looking for obvious reasons to get rid of things first - like fit or age of a garment. Then I questioned how much I really wore something or how easily it matched with other things. Then I decided to simply pick my favourites to keep. If I didn’t really love it I decided to give it to somebody who might. I was inspired to just have a wardrobe I could manage and continually cycle through. Without having items lurking somewhere that I never wear. I didn’t like the idea that I was wasting items. This way when an item as finally reached the end of its time I can recycle for rags and sometimes buy another item to replace it. Although for now I’m trying not to replace items at all. I’m aiming at reducing a little further. Thank you for your comment and question and I hope this answered it 😊.
