I have a story to tell about this servant's release. Get your popcorn: So, in summer 2021 on jp, they had a bunch of new banners for 6th anni and LB6. 2 of these banners involved LB6 servants. In particular, one of the 4* servants needed a material called "Tiny Bell of amnesty" (or "Small Bell of Absolution" in na), a bronze material. This servant needed 180 for skill upgrade. This item was new and could only be farmed from LB6 AFTER the story was done. Then, after these banners came the Melusine banner, and Melusine needs a whopping 216 of these bells for skill upgrades, totaling 396 bells for both servants. So guess what happened? Players got the 4* servant, used ALL their bells on said servant, then had NOTHING for Melusine afterward. Now realize something, LB6 was released in pieces, NOT all at once, which means you COULD NOT finish the story just yet, which also means you COULD NOT FARM said bell. The end result is that you would end up seeing 8/8/8 Melusines across the board on friend's lists for an entire month into her release. NOBODY could lore her AT ALL. To add insult to injury, in the middle of LB6 came the nero lotto, mind you, WITH exhibition quests. Imagine looking for Melusine in the friend's list being unable to find one with a single skill at 10! It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest embarrassments this game has ever had. This is probably why they decided to give people a chance to grab SOME bells for na for the past year or so. JP did NOT have this. Hopefully, na does not make the same mistake as jp did. XD
That is pretty brutal. Really amazing that they didn't foresee this issue and make the map farmable before all the parts were released or release a good amount of materials another way. Thankfully (partly due to the append system) they did get around to releasing some. But it's still not nearly enough. I really hope they are sensible and make bells the monthly material for June also. People need those bells!
@@Flaris You forget that the whole lostbelt itself was delayed, So you probably could of farmed them before her. They decided to drop them in chunks as to not delay them anymore.....
It happen in NA too (at least in my friendlist). Even with Clairvoyane EX, of all Melusines in my FL, i think only 2 are lored. And those 2 only had 1 & 2 skills lored.
The best part of her is that even with the restrictions, both of her Sides are still great for most content her ST Self loops mindlessly without needing to crit Much and she herself can generate 25-30 Stars from NPAA her Buster Self snowballs Arjuna against everything but Sabers which already says a lot. Kind of a shame she doesn't have her own Crit Buff, but i guess that's their way of not trying to do a Blatant Powercreep
I still have a few other targets but melusine is probably my number one target this year. The moment I knew she could turn into an awesome dragon I had to get her and have been saving for around 2 years since. Man I love dragons.
The spotlight I’ve been hyped for! This dragon girl is my servant of the year! 1.5k quartz ready to go! Just the perfect package. Love the design, personality, voice work, and gameplay. Fingers crossed that things go well next month.

She was the most immediately I fell in love with a design in a game like this, ever. As soon as I saw her first ascension I knew I had to roll for her. Gotta love when, after that, she turns out to be super good in gameplay too.
Melusine is definitely one of the most fun servants imo. I don't expect to get as lucky as on my JP account (F2p and got all faeris) but I'm definitely going all in for her and Morgan again! Both are totally worth it!

I’m actually surprised how early you made this video, but it’s still appreciated! I am looking forward the other LB6 servants getting spotlights! It’s mainly Sith, Barghest, Percy, and Oberon as well as the old servants who got buffed or will get buffed during LB6 (minus Morgan since you already covered her but I am still wanting her a lot)!
Well I was planning on rolling later but I couldn't help myself so rolled got her first roll so I kept going the second copy did not come easy but now I have np 2
And her portion of the story isnt bad either. (Except for the part where she blasts open the void and let the gang escape is kind of came out of nowhere and feels forced)
Coming back to say that I got really freaking lucky and I pulled NP2 Melusine in one roll. It was amazing, got a rainbow spark for the first one and a good spark for the second one. I yelled so much my throat was hurting the next day.
Dragon wife is almost here cant believe it. She is the closest thing to having KOS-MOS in the game, and my first 120 grail target i am beyond ecstatic for her NA release!
Melusine is a servant who's design I knew meant I was going to be rolling for her, her kit being as strong as it is justifies it even further although that's never been overly important when it comes to rolling for waifu reasons. This is going to be a hard one for me, I'm going to go for at least one copy, but I do kinda want np3 for 120+A2. She does have another banner at the end of the year so might have to go for the additional np copies then.
Both koyan and Oberon are meta but I would recommend going for Oberon first cause his next rate up is almost TWO YEARS AWAY!! While koyans is at the end of THIS year. That’s what I think at least
Got on this morning and had like 16 quartz and thought I'll try just once and once was all I needed to get Lancelot. My luck has ran out and I got Gawain and Morgan on my first spin on day one for their release. I ain't getting nothing the rest of the year. Thanks for all the updates man!
Massive thanks to you G&A Reviews I got 3 copy of Melusine in one multi because I was watching this video, I also has all the Artoria face to fill my friend support list and my party as well with Morgan in my room as a favorite. I forgot to screenshot it because it went by so fast but she is in the top row of Spirit Origins List.
I made it! The dream is fulfilled! Managed to get Melusine all the way to NP5! The first copy showed up on the 4th ticket. But it did take about 1,600 quartz to actually get that last copy. About an hour of rolling! My goodness. I'm half tempted to upload that crazy video. Also got over 10 copies of Percival so he'll be just fine. But so glad this worked out. While I'll spend at times, I try not to spend much beyond GSSRs. So really thrilled that I got Melusine to NP5 based purely on stubborn saving. Now I can look ahead to Vitch, Oberon, and ideally Summer Kama if I have anything left at that point. Will be unleashing a level 120 dragon girl upon the second part of LB6 and I look forward to that.
I'm surprised you criticized her damage; Melusine's damage ceiling with Double Vitch/Ooberon is absurdly high. By turn 3 her AOE NP hits like a single target one. To the point where Tiamat being able to outdamage her was initially seen as a big deal. Basically so long as you're not up against Sabers, you can bring her and her turn 3 damage will be absurd.
Its less of a criticism and more of a "well technically she isn't the best servant in the game" type of statement. I have to say something negative lol
@@GAReviews I'd actually say she comes close... She's good for offense, fronts her own stars and even has hard defense, plus she's essentially two servants in one. Only thing I could say she lacks is support capability, but if she had that, she'd effectively be doing everything.

I don't know how many players realize this because they'll likely press her S3 one way or another for the benefits...but Melusine's NP animation in her 3rd Ascension Battle Sprite has a very unique feature tacked in feature. I'm not sure if her S3 influences it, but Melusine's 3rd Ascension has an oddball chance of not transitioning to her dragon form. I'm still clueless on what the chances are that she doesn't compared to she does and/or if it's connected to her S3. Edited yet again... Guess it's just up to chance since her S3 doesn't prevent it. As long as she's in her 3rd Ascension, either she was already in it or was forced to due to her skill, it's random if she has her alternate NP animation or not play out.
Melu, Koyan, Oberon, Percy...so many servants I want all so close together 😥I know Melu has later banners, but the struggle is just the idea of holding off till then.

Update: As tempting as it is for me to share the absolute epic of my attempts to get Melusine, that would take several essays and for once, I don't have the strength for that. I will simply say that at 2am this morning, I finally got my 5th copy of Melusine. I was so grateful. Still am. She is my 1st NP5 5* Servant and is my permanent main Servant. I am eager to bring her into everything FGO has to offer.
Here comes the big one! The tiny dragon knight powerhouse. As someone who’s been a big fan of CHOCO’s work since I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I’ve been sold since Day 1. Not passing up this banner on my life.
I think you could start giving out EX ranks more generously starting from now to show the difference between the old FGO and new FGO. Melusine is a brand new level in DPS and farming and she will remain unbeaten for at least two years (because JP still doesn't have anything to beat her lol). She + koyan + oberon is the new meta which is farming 90++ even on class disadvantage.
She also have a great synergy with miss crane that shockingly she have a skin with 10 star bomb to provide miss crane np also miss crane can give Melusine crit damage up
Wow the luck was insane with this one. 3 quartz and I got the first copy. A few days later with the monthly tickets I get a golden circle and thought it was Percy but, I was pleasantly surprised with an NP2 Melusine! 2/4 big targets acquired now 2 to go. Well fox is all I want tbh!
I just got Morgan, Barghest and Babohan Sith from the debut banner and it costed no SQ! So now I save up for melusine and get her via pity. She's next up on my list
Honestly she's my personal most hyped servant this year... But unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be possible to get her because I was a idiot and didn't save up..I know she's gets another banner later on in the year or next I don't remember.
I got both her and Perceval in only 5 ten pulls. Super happy to be keeping up the luck from first banner, and hoping to keep it going for Koyanskaya, Oberon, and summer if I’m really lucky.
Not rolling for her cause I despise NTR. But is a good thing you put this out just after Morgan since most fellas are torn between the two as their new main DPS.
Dude her 1st skill and 2nd skill are so overkilk, she just dumps every DPS that existed before her time. The kit is so cohesive, her NP gain when she gets the ball rolling becomes sky high she becomes unstoppable. A perfect all rounder ST unit, and with her 3rd skill, my god she becomes a god tier farmer too. What the hell Lasagna? Lmao
Ah yes, Melusine, aka the best universal DPS in the entire game. Saved almost 1,3k sq and under 200 tickets to roll for her and Koyan. Hoping to get several copies of Melusine. Saw people mentioning Oberon again. As a person who dislikes him (both his character and demerit on his third skill) I'm going to say - he is helpfull to have but he is not THAT mandatory, because: 1)Summer Ibuki exist, which with double Castoria transform 99% farming in this game into a complete braindead easy thing. 2)Tiamat also exist, who can just with double Koyan effectively farm majority of nodes.
@@Amadeus_ I'm not saying that Oberon sucks. He's not. I'm saying that despite his usefulness he is the most overrated and overhyped servant in FGO and he is not "must pull at all costs, threw all your SQ at him". Both Summer Ibuki and Tiamat can efficiently farm everything without him.
I am a big fan of the Fae Knights. While my very soul will forever hate the squander opportunity of there being no Fae Princess Mordred (for real, just imagine what they can do with that; more or less how Mordred would turn out if she was fully on Morgan's side in addition to all the other things they could do with a Fae Mordred), I am grateful for Barghest and Melusine. I want both, but as far as I know, they aren't on the same banner. Maybe I'll use all my tickets (and maybe 60 SQ max) for at least one copy of Barghest then all SQ I can for 2 copies of Melusine. I like dragons and unique things so the fact she is so dragon inspired and her NP is incredibly unique is enough reason for me to toss some SQ at her. Dragons like treasure after all.
Melusine (or Lucy, as I call her for short) is definitely my biggest target this year and probably my biggest target ever? Summer Ibaraki is a 4* so getting her np5 was way easier so...yeah. Lucy is gorgeous both art, story and gameplaywise. An absolute unit in compact form and I am absolutely sinking as much as possible on her. I'll probably miss out on either Koyan or Oberon so I'll need to roll for them next year just so I can use her at MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, but I must prioritize getting her at a high np first. Also, first thing I thought after the intro was to literally say "YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY HORNINESS" outloud. The dragon loli brainrot has taken me, there is no hope left. So yeah, good luck to all my fellows trying for her or any of the Fae Knights, hopefully I can use the anni sq to roll either Barghest or Sith (or both, please) during the Oberon banner.
got her twice in a single multi on her last rate up. failed to get koyan light and morgan but koyan dark and casturia work well enough as supports for her especialy with merlin or waver in the back as well.
Ah yes, the latest in the line of FGO Servants that look at gameplay mechanics and go "Screw the rules, give me your money!". It appears that the devs have caught on that one way to make a busted as hell character is to add the max LB effect of a REALLY powerful CE to their kit. Mélusine gets a K-scope if you want to use her AoE np and something similar will happen in the Global server again when Kukulkan is introduced. Good thing for me that she has a second banner at the end of the year so that I have enough time refill my SQ coffers a bit after rolling for Assassin Koyanskaya (and likely Susberon too). Fortunately, I am not gunning for the other Koyan as well... I will ad something though - Smolcelot is one of the rare 3-turn looping Servants in FGO that doesn't really need mana loading so you may want to prioritize Extra Attack performance or levels over 100 on her with the coins.
Alright, I've around 1000 SQ, the main target is still Koyanskaya, due to her indispensable role. I'll go all out on Melusine and Morgan on their reruns, but still try to get them on their arrival
I’d like to get Mel NP 5 along with Dobryna this year, but it'll be a lot of money with also needing Koyanska and Oberon to make my future buster farming most efficient . Welp. My guide about whether to roll for her or no if you wanna loop with her (assuming your opinion of her in a blank slate which is impossible, melussy is best cunny after all) don't roll for her. Get oberon and koyan. Get another 50% charger (you can get a free waver this anniversary) borrow a np5 MLB black grail melusine and go to town
I was gonna wait for the Dec banner to summon for her but I couldn't wait. "Fk it, waifu over meta" I thought. But I didn't want to use any SQ since I've only got 440 left after my impulse summons on Morgan, so I was just gonna summon using all my tickets and *I GOT HER WITH JUST 28!!* I'm usually not one to brag but I was so stoked that I needed to tell somebody😆 I've wanted her ever since I saw her character design and I was even more intrigued when I read her lore & bonds. She was the servant I wanted the most in 2023 and she's finally come home!😄 Won't push my luck for an NP2 for now. I'll do that in December if the gacha gods allow.
Unfortunately I have to skip Melusine, the Back to back to back to back LB6 gauntlet is too much for me to handle. But this skip will only be temporary since i'll try my best to get her when Tunguska comes along. Or maybe she can be nice and come with the GSSR. Having a grailed Melusine on JP really helped me for the 90++ nodes, even if I dont have Oberon.
Not much longer till she releases. i believe she releases on the second banner as well. Oberon, I think comes when pt.3 releases. This is gonna be a quarts hungry lb.

That's a nice idea, but it won't quite be enough. Pure prisms have a limit per item. If you could convert all of them for a single item then you'd be great. 100 of them from the pure prisms will help. But that won't quite get you to 216.
I definitely want a copy. But at the same time I am worried about keeping enough SQ to guarantee Koyan and Oberon. I got 1034 effective sq right now. So I can only Pity one SSR. I know that we will get even more SQ on the way but missing out Oberon on his first banner will hurt a lot more than missing out on Melusine who has a second banner on the same year. At least I already have Ereshkigal as a Buster AoE Lancer until then. If only the pity was set much lower, I could be tempted to dolphin a bit

To the point where Tiamat being able to outdamage her was initially seen as a big deal. Basically so long as you're not up against Sabers, you can bring her and her turn 3 damage will be absurd.

@@GAReviews I'd actually say she comes close... She's good for offense, fronts her own stars and even has hard defense, plus she's essentially two servants in one. Only thing I could say she lacks is support capability, but if she had that, she'd effectively be doing everything.
With Oberon and Koyanskaya yes. Melusine's NP damage falls off a lot if you don't have Oberon, and the NP damage from her ST form is rather average

I don't know how many players realize this because they'll likely press her S3 one way or another for the benefits...but Melusine's NP animation in her 3rd Ascension Battle Sprite has a very unique feature tacked in feature. I'm not sure if her S3 influences it, but Melusine's 3rd Ascension has an oddball chance of not transitioning to her dragon form. I'm still clueless on what the chances are that she doesn't compared to she does and/or if it's connected to her S3.
Edited yet again... Guess it's just up to chance since her S3 doesn't prevent it. As long as she's in her 3rd Ascension, either she was already in it or was forced to due to her skill, it's random if she has her alternate NP animation or not play out.

Update: As tempting as it is for me to share the absolute epic of my attempts to get Melusine, that would take several essays and for once, I don't have the strength for that.
I will simply say that at 2am this morning, I finally got my 5th copy of Melusine. I was so grateful. Still am. She is my 1st NP5 5* Servant and is my permanent main Servant. I am eager to bring her into everything FGO has to offer.

I think you could start giving out EX ranks more generously starting from now to show the difference between the old FGO and new FGO. Melusine is a brand new level in DPS and farming and she will remain unbeaten for at least two years (because JP still doesn't have anything to beat her lol).
She + koyan + oberon is the new meta which is farming 90++ even on class disadvantage.
So would NP1 be enough?

Honestly she's my personal most hyped servant this year... But unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be possible to get her because I was a idiot and didn't save up..I know she's gets another banner later on in the year or next I don't remember.
She gets another banner late this year around Christmas, and another next year for the LB6 Road to 7 campaign in early december.
I got both her and Perceval in only 5 ten pulls. Super happy to be keeping up the luck from first banner, and hoping to keep it going for Koyanskaya, Oberon, and summer if I’m really lucky.

i rolled just for fun and got her in 8 tickets, but when o saw 72 bells, i was freaking terrified, waiting for the event with bells.
Not rolling for her cause I despise NTR. But is a good thing you put this out just after Morgan since most fellas are torn between the two as their new main DPS.
Dude her 1st skill and 2nd skill are so overkilk, she just dumps every DPS that existed before her time.
The kit is so cohesive, her NP gain when she gets the ball rolling becomes sky high she becomes unstoppable.

Saw people mentioning Oberon again. As a person who dislikes him (both his character and demerit on his third skill) I'm going to say - he is helpfull to have but he is not THAT mandatory, because:
1)Summer Ibuki exist, which with double Castoria transform 99% farming in this game into a complete braindead easy thing.
2)Tiamat also exist, who can just with double Koyan effectively farm majority of nodes.

I am a big fan of the Fae Knights. While my very soul will forever hate the squander opportunity of there being no Fae Princess Mordred (for real, just imagine what they can do with that; more or less how Mordred would turn out if she was fully on Morgan's side in addition to all the other things they could do with a Fae Mordred), I am grateful for Barghest and Melusine. I want both, but as far as I know, they aren't on the same banner. Maybe I'll use all my tickets (and maybe 60 SQ max) for at least one copy of Barghest then all SQ I can for 2 copies of Melusine. I like dragons and unique things so the fact she is so dragon inspired and her NP is incredibly unique is enough reason for me to toss some SQ at her. Dragons like treasure after all.
Melusine (or Lucy, as I call her for short) is definitely my biggest target this year and probably my biggest target ever? Summer Ibaraki is a 4* so getting her np5 was way easier so...yeah.
Lucy is gorgeous both art, story and gameplaywise. An absolute unit in compact form and I am absolutely sinking as much as possible on her. I'll probably miss out on either Koyan or Oberon so I'll need to roll for them next year just so I can use her at MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, but I must prioritize getting her at a high np first.
Also, first thing I thought after the intro was to literally say "YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY HORNINESS" outloud. The dragon loli brainrot has taken me, there is no hope left.

Ah yes, the latest in the line of FGO Servants that look at gameplay mechanics and go "Screw the rules, give me your money!". It appears that the devs have caught on that one way to make a busted as hell character is to add the max LB effect of a REALLY powerful CE to their kit. Mélusine gets a K-scope if you want to use her AoE np and something similar will happen in the Global server again when Kukulkan is introduced.
Good thing for me that she has a second banner at the end of the year so that I have enough time refill my SQ coffers a bit after rolling for Assassin Koyanskaya (and likely Susberon too). Fortunately, I am not gunning for the other Koyan as well...
I will ad something though - Smolcelot is one of the rare 3-turn looping Servants in FGO that doesn't really need mana loading so you may want to prioritize Extra Attack performance or levels over 100 on her with the coins.
Alright, I've around 1000 SQ, the main target is still Koyanskaya, due to her indispensable role. I'll go all out on Melusine and Morgan on their reruns, but still try to get them on their arrival

Welp. My guide about whether to roll for her or no if you wanna loop with her (assuming your opinion of her in a blank slate which is impossible, melussy is best cunny after all) don't roll for her. Get oberon and koyan. Get another 50% charger (you can get a free waver this anniversary) borrow a np5 MLB black grail melusine and go to town
I was gonna wait for the Dec banner to summon for her but I couldn't wait. "Fk it, waifu over meta" I thought. But I didn't want to use any SQ since I've only got 440 left after my impulse summons on Morgan, so I was just gonna summon using all my tickets and *I GOT HER WITH JUST 28!!* I'm usually not one to brag but I was so stoked that I needed to tell somebody😆 I've wanted her ever since I saw her character design and I was even more intrigued when I read her lore & bonds. She was the servant I wanted the most in 2023 and she's finally come home!😄
Won't push my luck for an NP2 for now. I'll do that in December if the gacha gods allow.

Unfortunately I have to skip Melusine, the Back to back to back to back LB6 gauntlet is too much for me to handle. But this skip will only be temporary since i'll try my best to get her when Tunguska comes along. Or maybe she can be nice and come with the GSSR. Having a grailed Melusine on JP really helped me for the 90++ nodes, even if I dont have Oberon.

That's a nice idea, but it won't quite be enough. Pure prisms have a limit per item. If you could convert all of them for a single item then you'd be great. 100 of them from the pure prisms will help. But that won't quite get you to 216.
Remember f2p guys, Koyan 1st, and Oberon 2nd. Morgan and Melusine will both have rerun later at the end of the year.
I definitely want a copy. But at the same time I am worried about keeping enough SQ to guarantee Koyan and Oberon.
I got 1034 effective sq right now. So I can only Pity one SSR. I know that we will get even more SQ on the way but missing out Oberon on his first banner will hurt a lot more than missing out on Melusine who has a second banner on the same year.
