Avenger is A family of urban cruisers from Bajaj Auto which now includes the Cruise 220, the Street 220 and the new Street 150. The last two add city riding dynamics to the cruiser range.The Avenger 220 DTSi is the only cruiser offered by the Bajaj. The bike has 220cc 4-stroke twin spark DTS-i engine as used in "Pulsar 220F". The Avenger 220 DTSi is a very comfortable cruiser for long rides with authentic cruiser style stretched front foot pegs. The Avenger 220 DTSi also comes with bigger front disc brakes for better braking.

Some technical DETAILS ABOUT AVENGER 220,STREET,CRUISE:
The Bajaj Avenger has decent mileage. It returns about 30 km/l in the city and on an open road, it increases to 35-38 km/l. If you need the more fuel-efficient one, pick the 150cc engine.The Cruise avatar gets a heavy dose of chrome all around. Starting from the new white hue headlight, re-designed crane-neck handlebars, bar-end weights, rear-view mirrors, fuel-gauge & speedo, crash guards, exhaust pipe, oil-cooler cover, horn cover, pillion backrest bracket mount and back plate, rear brake lever, you can witness the sparkling treatment almost everywhere. While generous lashings of chrome are not new to the Avenger, the shiny adornment somehow manages to stand out and dazzle a bit more on the new model.Other features on the motorcycle include clear lens blinkers, a newly designed handlebar, 15mm taller seat (with a unique, leather mimicking pattern on the rider area), new drive chain, re-tweaked second spring rate in rear suspension and an improved Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI). The position of the tell-tale indicators remains same as the previous model and they continue to sit next to the fuel gauge, right above the fuel filling cap on the massive chrome drenched panel on top of the tank. The positioning of the tell-tale lights within the cluster does not change either and the four lights continue to display the neutral indicator, turn lights, high beam sign and low battery indication.
Bajaj Avenger 220 Street : being inspired by the Harley-Davidson Street 750. The Avenger 220 Street, with its dark theme, the design of the alloy wheels and the front suspension dust guard does indeed remind one of the Street in terms of the appearance. Heck, it even shares its name with the American cruiser. However, one must remember that Bajaj hasn’t made any radical changes to the original Avenger to mimic the styling of the Street 750.
Minor changes like black painted alloy wheels, matte paint colour scheme and the new exhaust outlet apart, the Avenger 220 Street carries on with its classic decade old design - more or less.

+Himanshu Aswal There's not much difference, just a few cosmetic changes. Power and breaking is the same. Handling slightly differs but overall I think both are equal.
Points you pointed out are pretty good but one of most important issues is the chain set which gets loose very frequently that makes the ride bit difficult. If have any solution on it plz respond.
u have to maintain the bike that's always there . i stay in goa so i can understand about rust . but the bike is reliable a lot and i am driving it for last 6 years and done 65k+ on this till now and never let me down on road even the company fitted Tyre . .happy with my bike ...
Yes I agree but you have to take a little extra effort to maintain it that's all,I neglected my bike in the monsoon season of 2016 and that's when the problem started

@kishi navneet bhai, I want to tell one thing about the rust, I basically own a Cruise 220 Avenger 2017 model, so I went to buy a new bike for my friend during Ganeshotsav this yr at Dombivli Kanchan Bajaj showroom MIDC, and saw this new avenger 220. Upon closer inspection i could easily find rusted nuts on the Windshield and also on the chrome backrest. If the showroom model is rusted whom should we put the blame on? Ok keep that aside i went and asked the service personnel for my bikes rusting problem, he said that u should avoid salty water and stuff like that. And moreover he insisted that I should apply coating to avoid rusting. If this is the case then why doesn't the company apply it before delivery

I have purchased new Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 (BS IV) model. I like this bike very much, good in running. But one thing I don't like is its handlebar. The handlebar is not comfortable. It started backache. Can I change the handlebar? Can I install the handlebar of Bajaj avenger street bike or any other bike? I want a low handle. All other things are perfectly all right. The issue is only of handlebar. pl suggest me. thanks.

Bro I don't have any idea about Suzuki intruder as I have not got an opportunity to ride it but it looks really cool. I personally think it's better to go for a higher cc bike because it really adds to the fun of riding and increases your riding options. A 150 cc bike would be good for city use where there's lot of traffic but if you're looking at a lot of mixed riding- city and highway then you can consider Avenger 220. Get a test ride of the intruder and maybe then you will get a clearer idea, dont go by the specifications on paper or reviews, ride it yourself and see. Hope it helps.

It happens in Avenger, just don't try to ride it like a pulsar. Also check the wheel alignment. Check if the wheel shakes sideways after putting it on the main stand.
Hi Swapy , heard in many review videos that the bike is not comfortable/suitable for tall riders, I am looking forward to purchase this bike(220 street variant) in near future, so just wanted to know whether i should go for it considering the fact that my height is 5'10"
abhay vighare The street has a slightly bigger seat than the earlier versions but overall I feel that the bike doesn't quite feel in sync with tall people.Its a bit of a mix n match. Before buying it ,don't forget to take a test ride on it and see how it feels.

I have avenger 2007 180 dtsi. I never faced skid problem. I have a kick start as well. Can put my bike on neutral even when engine is on. Even now gives a mileage of 40 in city. 45 on highway. Purana model hai however old is gold!
I own a AVENGER 220 and I agree with you on most of the points
headlight toh bakwas hi hai. but I can't agree on the oil quantity issue, I have been using motul for a long time now and find the quantity adequate and secondly my bike is 4years old but hasn't rusted as much, rust on yours is scary.
Shriram Rane haha yeah..actually even i've been using Motul for many years now. The rust was minimum till 2015 but during the rainy season of 2016 I did not cover my bike during the rains and as my bike is almost perennially parked in the open, not covering it during rains causes a lot of rust 😣😣😣

sir plz tell which is better option among pulsar 220 and avenger 220?
It really depends on what kind of rider you are.If you are a one of those who likes to take fast corners and ride in a more sporty way then pulsar 220 is good but if you are not much of an aggressive rider and want to just travel around in a slightly more comfortable way then Avenger 220 is a good choice.

I'm a 5'7 height person planning to buy a avenger cruise for city commuting only , yes i can buy a street but i love this model . my only doubt is whether cruise models skid too much as many say .. if so pls suggest me a very comfortable bike like this for city commuting purpose ... awaiting for your reply
hey sorry for the late reply,the avenger is a very good bike to ride in all conditions but the only thing you should keep in mind is that you should not be very aggressive with it,for instance some people like cornering and taking cuts in traffic,surely you can do all those things with this bike but what I experienced with the tyres of this bike is that they are very very long lasting but that means you will have to compromise on certain things like grip on wet roads.Mostly all bikes in this price range skid a little bit on wet roads but compared to all those bikes the Avenger is one of the safest bikes to ride because of low centre of gravity,that will save you in an unfortunate situation.I love to ride it in the city as well as on highways.

My bajaj avenger street 220(2016) model give me only 30-32... My carboretor setting screw in 2.5 trun..i vdo carboretor tuneing for maximum milage...
I have Bajaj Avenger street 220 and I have practically experienced the 1 St point. ( Bike skidding in rainy season) . It's true .but due to my riding experience I balanced the bike and didn't get any accident. After 20000 km definitely Avenger bikers will experience slight skidding due to the lack of grip in tires . This is the only problem except that everything is fine.but the style and comfort in riding Avenger is quite good . This is my genuine experience.

so they aren't made to run at high speed
n it performs well at 70-80 kmph
n cruising speed is great at this point

Suraj Kumar Buy it , it's a value for money bike and reliable too. The things I mentioned in the video are very minor. Every bike has some flaws but as I've ridden my avenger 220 so much I know for a fact that the bike is good.

Bhai mera pass hai new cruise, 10000km chala liya aur stress kuch bhi nahi hota, 300km par day ka hai ,maine bullet aur suzuki intruder ko bhi chalaya, yeh isliyien nahi keh raha hoon ki mera pass hai, under 1lack 5000 segment main yeh bike comfort mein sabse achhi, chahai old version ya new

Good pointers..........I own a Street 220 since 10,000 kms. I think a major concern is the extremely short gearing of the bike, feels very stressed post 90-100 kmph which is definitely under-powered for highway use.
Another issue is the seat, it surely is comfortable for city but on long highway rides, there is pronounced pain/irritation in the tail bone of the rider. Bajaj should offer better designed split seats for this bike.
Very correct. Even though the seat ' Looks' comfortable,it does not feel comfortable on long rides,there has to be some springiness to it to make it more comfortable.

ha maine sab kiya achese 3 saal tak, tab koi problem nahi aya. Saste mei rust nikaalne ka video bhi banaya hai maine. Lekin problem tab aya jab main barish mei bike ko plastic cover nhi daala, kyunki meri bike bahar park hoti hai without shade. 3 saal tak izzat se cover daala, yeh 4th saal se nahi daala. Voh saal se thoda problem hua..nahi toh bike ekdum kadak hai..
Ab toh street comes with tubeless tyres.... AND just one problem with street is The lack of colours...

All cons are true I have owned this brand bike for 7 years. I sold 220 and bought 150 avenger street because its fuel efficient but it is all fitted with cheap quality bike parts not as good as in 220.

Bajaj’s advantage is value for money and only is its disadvantage as they use less quality things for cost cutting and that will reflect after 2-3years for use...but the rider has the responsibility to maintain the bike well.... avenger needs ns200 engine and gear box.
Yeah its a very durable and user friendly kind of bike, will not give any major problems for many many years and the maintenance cost is also very less. The only thing is that it should be kept clean and dry, the rusting happens at the screws, nuts and bolts, the rest of the metallic components of the bike are really good and almost corrosion resistant. If someone is looking for a bike for long term use then this is it.

Yeah bro thats why I even said in the video that every bike has some or the other flaw, we always have the chance of correcting those things afterwards by investing a little more money.The whole purpose of this video was to show the negative points of the stock bike. Personally I have grown to like it even with the flaws :-)

No!..Veedol is the best Engine Oil . I did 150 kmph top speed using the same...🙂...no Avenger riders are complaining about fuse and wiring problems...?!..😎
Veedol is okay but not the best as it does not retain its viscosity at high temperatures leading to more stress on the engine. The reason brands like motul cost almost triple the price is that they contain additives and chemicals components which maintain optimum viscosity even at high temperatures and even optimum flow at low temperatures in which normal oils become thicker. Lastly the fuse problem may occur if you install or modify the lights and nowadays many people do that. So there is a chance of fuses blowing if the wiring is compromised. Anyways you can watch my other video about reasons to buy avenger.

You have misunderstood what I said in the video because judging the way your wrote the comment it's quite evident that you do not understand English. Nowhere in the video have I ever said that the bike is responsible for its condition! Obviously I'm responsible for keeping the bike in a particular condition for which I have explained everything. The problem is while turning. You have to be careful while doing hard turns on this bike. Otherwise its a very stable bike because of low centre of gravity.
@@SwapyBond the thing is i drove it fr the first time ,im driving enfield since years it always had issues with starting maintaince etc but nevr skid n iam a good sensible driver.with avenger it got disbalnced while applying brakes may b if i get used to it will not happn but many people wil not live to learn that lesson.not evry1 gets a second chance to rectify their mistakes.indian bike brands dont take safety with atmost priority.will never drive this irrespinsibly made low class bike.
