- www.motorbeam.com tests the new 2016 Avengers which draw power from the same 220cc engine from the outgoing model. The Avenger 220 now comes in two variants - Cruise and Street, the former is aimed at the tourer while the latter is for the urban rider. Both the motorcycles share their mechanicals while it's the styling that differentiates them.
The Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 produce 19.03 PS of power and 17.5 Nm of torque, the similar engine in a different state of tune powers the Pulsar 220F. Awesome video........I have never seen such a kickass video in my life, and i think this one will be a trendsetter for the guys in Hollywood! The shoot is decent, but what really makes this video outstanding is the Post Production (EDITING). Hats off to the maverick who's edited this film!

If you are riding solely in the city, go for the Avenger 150.
Yaa true but is there a big difference in the pickup of the two & there is a oil cooled engine in Avenger 220 and air cooled in 150 so what will be the benefits of it?

when I closely look I think the bolt positioning for the back rest is similar to the older version and I hope we can get older version back rest in many auto shops. am I right and will it be possible to change back rest to the cruise type?

hey motorbeam! quick question! is it possible to replace the street handlebar with the one on the cruise? same goes for the back rest? I'm visually attracted to the street but I also need comfort while long distance touring.

Street 220 is a good bike to ride in the Street, the 150cc model is around 5 km/l more efficient.

I am a pre-final year college student. Most of my commutes are going to be in the city. I test-drove both the Avenger 220 Street and Gixxer SF and I loved the relaxed riding position of the Street while I was thrilled with the Gixxer's acceleration. I realize both bikes are great in the city, but I'm not able to decide whether to go for the Gixxer's sporty looks or the Street's raw appeal. Do help me decide. @Motor Beam

Though bike top speed is 135 but it would strain the engine. So according to me sweet spot would be 120kmph

Avenger 220 will give you an average of 30-35kmpl.
40kmpl is what you can get if you always ride the bike like you do in run-in period and there shouldn't be heavy traffic. Avenger will give you an average of 35-40kmpl. Same rule applies.

Im using the 2012 Avenger. I frequent Mumbai-Pune. I usually max out on the highway. You suggest going in for the 220 Cruise? Basically is it worth the extra cash i'll be putting in?

Leaving budget aside, out of Yamaha Fazer V 2.0 and Bajaj Avenger Street 220, which bike would be ideal for daily commute of 30km and weekend ride on highways for 300-400 km ?
Or any other bike which you would like to suggest within the price range of Rs 1.10 Lakh.

help!!! suggestions !!! i am having serious vibration issue with my bajaj avenger 220 (old model) just crossing 45km/hr speed, i am having vibrations in footpegs....above 50 km/hr its worse and felt under seats too. what can i do to solve this issue....
When was the bike last serviced?
serviced a week ago. i complained about this....before service, they say its fine....but i still feel vibrations. acutally i bought it second hand. don't know much about previous condition of bike. if i cud get some ideas then i cud talk with mechanic and ask them specifically to check those out.
P.S is new cruise handlebar more comfortable than the old 220's??

I own a AVENGER STREET 220. I'm fully satisfied with bikes look and performance but little dissapointed with the exhauster sound, Can I modify the bike and get any other exhauster for this bike such as royal enfield exhauster?
+SHIRSENDU DEY (Biltu) yes you can modify but don't do it now, use the bike for sometime and see if you still need it.

+sai prashanth mid-range is the strong point. Top speed 125 km/hr but best to run at 100.

i have had to consider buying a cruiser-avenger due to having suffered a
torn shoulder muscle because of an accident i had on my R15 while i was
going to office 7 months ago.
Even though it's been 7 months of medical leave, im unable to ride it to
office anymore due to the positioning being very demanding on my
injured shoulder.
(excruciatingly painful on city-riding which i did just yesterday after
healing upto almost 80%. I felt happy and confident because of having
healed almost 85% but Ive suddenly regressed to about 30% after riding
for about 1.5 hours in total y'day which is very saddening to me.)
I saw that the cruiser220 has a higher handle bar in comparison to the
street150 which i find fascinating, (even though i absolutely love the
street150 more because of the all-black look + bluish colour and the
Higher-Mileage which will be Much more cost efficient)
But can u please tell me which one puts comparatively Lesser pressure on
the Shoulder (unlike the R15) and elbows? (the street150 with the lower
handlebar or the cruiser220 with a higher handlebar)
My travel mainly revolves within the city and Rarely do i ever go on the
highways for official purposes. I go on weekends maybe, but that is
also not certain.

Ideally any commuter bike with a straight handlebar will serve your purpose.

They'd replied that that's true for the showrooms with 2014 model stock.They've no zmr on stock and 2016 model zmr will be available in mid of January or Feb. what should I do? should I need to wait for 2 months? If not, when will the zmr available for us?

Avenger vs intruder
Price: Avenger has less price
Engine: Intruder has refined engine.
Comfort: Intruder seats are more comfortable for rider and pillion as well.
Avenger has less comfortable seats.
Design: Avenger comes in pure metal body while most of the parts of intruder are made of plastics.
Overall: I would recommend avenger has value for money deal.

these bikes doesn't have kick start. don't you thing this is a major flaw in the design as the ride becomes dependent only on self start ? How reliable is the self start and battery in all weather ?
