@@alexlambert2003 In the mid-late 2000's NASCAR had scheduled phoenix noght races for several years. I believe it was the Subway Fresh Fit sponsored race. They were amazing
You know, I have to come back to this race basically every week now. I try to get myself to think "This can't be Dale's last win. This can't be it." Yet, I think it's gonna be. It's a shame his last career win will be forgotten because of the Chase and the fact it was rain shortened.
I've already just given it up, and faced that it would take some strange thing to happen for him to win. And even if something weird did happen, he probably wouldn't be there to capitalize, because something on that car is always broken.
@@joerut00000 If it makes you feel better, I'm starting to feel the same way towards my man Jimmie Johnson. Sucks that a race ending under caution is so far is final win. Now looking at your comment, JJ may have a similar shit send-off Dale Jr had. It does suck to see your long time favorite driver go off quite like that, doesn't it?
looking at the Chase grid and analyzing what Junior said in his interview, "4, 6 inches" knocks out Kyle Busch. the win would have put Junior immediately below Logano at the second slot in the round of 12, and shift down everyone else. since Kyle was the first above the cutoff line, he would be pushed out. so Junior winning this Phoenix race would have indeed been enough to put him, and no one would have ever bitched about Kyle Busch getting an undeserved championship. instead, Harvick would have won 2 in a row (this is all assuming identical results)
I got to tell you, NASCAR does an amazing job at marketing. IndyCar is racing on April 2nd this year and in just mere testing they are doing 187+ mph laps...47 miles FASTER than the top qualifying speed for this NASCAR race. This race here is sold out and the IndyCar event is going to draw about 20 people...THAT'S pretty strange, especially considering IndyCar is open cockpit.
what does being open cockpit have to do with anything? It's not about how fast they're going, it's about how entertaining the race is to watch. 43 cars going two wide is more fun to watch than 22 cars going single file
+Sean Taylor IndyCar is traveling faster and their ONLY protection for their HEAD is a helmet, not a roof! Last evidenced by Justin Wilson's death last year at Pocono. But you are right, that the IndyCar race at Phoenix SUCKED.
i like kyle and his driving style but i do agree that he should not have won the title but i also think harvick should have been eliminated at taladega because his car couldnt get up to speed for the final laps and yes junior should have been called the winner of that race and maybe he could have been the champion i am glad though because gordon did not win the title and yes nascar needs to go back to before it had the chase and let the drivers battle for points right up until the end
+Axe Racing im not really sure what i should say to that except that there are in my opinion better drivers that never got that many and a few never got any at all so he should be thankful for what he has gotten because its a very competitive sport and very tuff to win any race let alone a championship
In 2014 Jeff would have won the championship if brad didn’t cut his tire with 6 wins Kansas, Michigan, Indy, Dover, Texas and homestead. If brad didn’t cut his tire
I was praying it would’ve rained out knowing Logano eliminated my favorite driver when he didn’t even need to race at talladega junior winning this made me so happy that logano got eliminated while jr’s win meant nothing 😂😂
I got a jr flag that day ,I didn't stay because I had school the next day and I watched it and Sunday night football that day (which az cardinals won) but i wish I could've been there to see it in person
I'm from the Atlanta area, but I noticed that the fans aren't filling the stands anymore what's going on in the nascar world these days, I remember here in Atlanta motor speedway when the races were here we knew they were here but now I also noticed that fans are not filling up the stands anymore, here at the Atlanta motor speedway they also tore down a grand stand because tickets sales aren't what it used to be, so what's going on with nascar these days not only atlanta but in alot of these other tracks, atlanta was the place to be when race weekend comes here ,it was a party but now you hardly know they're here.
Young guys are taking over the sport and fans aren't liking it. People want dale sr, and people like that. And now Gordon is gone. Sport is going to go down hill even more I think fan wise
+Ryan Haartz wow! never looked at like that but man here at the Atlanta motor speedway when the races were here we knew it, it was a party sun up till sun down now it's becoming spaceful in the stands sit any where you want and you hardly know they're here.
+eddiespitia This video is from Phoenix, not Homestead-Miami. If you want to see Kyle in Victory Lane at Homestead, then watch the Homestead-Miami race.
Look at all of the empty seats!!!!! What a crying shame!!!!! NASCAR lost much of its fan base when the sport went corporate and cut away from its roots. This season has clearly demonstrated that NASCAR has lost credibility. How else can anybody explain Kyle Busch missing 11 races and coming back to win the championship. He might have broken the top 15 in the old season long accumulating points system. Now that Gordon has retired, the rest of the fan base will follow with their own retirement of NASCAR loyalty. NASCAR has become a pathetic excuse for racing. Look forward to more grandstand removal in 2016, LMAO
+Gambit PSN The rain was a factor in this race; however, if you haven't taken notice, there have been loads of empty seats for every race this season and it will only get worse as NASCAR continues to drive fans away.
loyalty is a thing of the past with nascar especialy with the sponsers for the drivers now the drivers are lucky if a sponser stays with them for an entire season and that in turn makes the fans unloyal to the sponsers and nascar drivers like richard petty, dale earnhardt, and even jeff gordon had sponsers that stayed with them for most of if not all of their careers but now nascar and the sponsers are not loyal to anyone nascar can hardly keep a sponser for itself anymore its not like it was when it was the winston cup or even the bush grand national series about the only thing the sport has any loyalty to anymore is the money it makes from the fans
+Adam Wright Fontana sold out, Talledega sold out. Theres a reason Daytona international speedway added close to 100,000 seats... NASCAR actually gets more TV views then ever before, while not as many show up to the race that doesn't mean it's lost that many fans
+WestCoastFishing Tracks and NASCAR don't post attendance anymore so I don't know how you arrived at the conclusion that Fontana and Talladega sold out. Fontana removed 24,000 seats and Talladega removed 40,000 seats. Daytona DID NOT add 100,000 seats, they in fact removed 67,000 seats including the entire backstretch grandstand. Richmond has been removing seats and now plans to remove the entire backstretch stands. Dover has removed 40,000 seats and the list goes on and on. The point is that NASCAR's popularity has gone south over the last decade and will continue to because the racing product sucks, the chase sucks, and on and on. I became a NASCAR fan in 1988 and I have seen the boom in the 90's and the gloom in the 2000's. I attended races through the late 90's until corporate greed took over and ruined the sport.
Who would've known that this would be Jr's last win.
And it was handed to him
NASCAR needs to bring back the night race at Phoenix for the Sprint Cup Series
the only did this one at night due to rain.

He's got two more chances to make this his second to last win, but I don't see it happening either.

I hate how NASCAR did Dale dirty in his last few years it’s one of the reasons why I gave up watching after he retired & now Jimmie is gone
If for not getting screwed at Talladega. Junior would have been in the final four at Homestead after Phoenix.
OK you do not know how much I love NASCAR it's awesome
This would sadly be the last win for Dale Jr
Gordon should've stayed out on the last caution
A Phoenix Night Race!
Thank you for posting NASCAR
It’s cool because I was at this racetrack for the whole seven hours rain delay and it was all worth it
Chase Peterson same here! What a day haha
I was at that race I had so much fun seeing Phoenix raceway in real life
I miss the night race at Phoenix.
Me too, it's the perfect track for night racing as it has little banking and lots of grip when at nights

thanks. I lost IQ points staring at the jet dryers. Who the hell edited this upload??
+Dungzoo This upload is the satellite international feed that NASCAR distributes that runs commercial free.

Dale Jr’s most forgotten win
I was so disappointed when Kurt jumped the restart by like an inch, he probably would of transferred if not for that
Plus he had one of the top 3 fastest cars
at 2:02:44 If Gordon Stayed out he would have gotten his 2nd win of the season and of the round
That would’ve been great thank you to Pepsi

Who would of thought this was more than likely Jr's last points race win.
If Jeff didn’t pit he would have won
Race start 26:50
The race Kurt Busch lost his chance at a 2nd title. Rain sucks.
Did jr take the lead during the commercial
One thing race with rain 9/10 is come back
I was at this race and the rain sucked. If I was NASCAR I would have rescheduled it so we could get the whole thing in

nascar screwing kurt busch as usual
