A number of years ago the Gaither Vocal Band came to Australia and they produced a DVD called “Australian Homecoming with The Gaither Vocal Band” They recorded the concert at our Sydney Opera House.
The piano player's name is Anthony Burger. He was voted the favorite gospel pianist so many yrs in a row that they renamed it the Anthony Burger award. He dropped dead after doing a piano solo on a Gaither cruise a few yrs ago. One of the best there was.

You will love "These Are They" from the same concert, it's a very personal song to me, and the first song my son learned to sing at 2, I played it on repeat when I was pregnant with him. Also, "It Is Finished", will blow you away. For an awesome acapella song, "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go", out of this world.

I've just discovered your reaction videos and have to say I have teared up watching your reactions to the Gaither Vocal Band (GVB) and David Phelps in particular. Don't know if you've looked in to the history of GVB but they've been around "forever", starting as the Gaither Trio, with Bill, Gloria (Bill's wife) and Danny (Bill's brother). They have had numerous people come and go over the years, with each GVB iteration being "the best" ... they simply have gotten better each time. The harmony's here are amazing, and it also introduces you to The Martin's and their sibling harmony (two sisters one brother). The Martin's have been part of the Gaither Homecoming series of concerts and studio recordings for about 15+ years. we just call the group the gaithers and everyone in the US knows who you mean. idk why vocal band is on there lol but they've always been great i love their bass ( the long haired guy) . when we only had 3 tv channels there was always one with the gaithers and sha na na ( not religious music just good a capella) and ofc the oak ridge boys on it for some reason. oh and you're saying the name fine in the southern US we sort of make a softer th sound like the th in 'ether' lol sorry so long!

Guy Penrod (the long haired guy) is not a bass singer. He sings baritone. Bill Gaither is the bass singer.
I pray that you know the Jesus David sings about.
David is on his own now with his family. He is no longer with the Gathers.
