  • G'day guys, this week is all about David Phelps. This episode we look at You'll never Walk Alone. This was very emotional for me, for different reasons, but David sings it so wonderfully.

I’m so sorry for all your loss. You should never be afraid to show your grief. We all love the honesty that you show. I know you didn’t know that this was his sister Sherri singing with him and singing with her for the last time before she died of cancer. If you had, you may never have gotten through.

I recently came across your channel because of your David Phelps reactions. I have watched and enjoyed, all of your David and GVB reactions. It is not just the majestic, lyrical, vocals, or the harmonizing, that draws you so deeply into what they are singing. It's their personal relationship with the one that they are singing about that rushes out in every note and word. The God that they sing about, also felt the pain and separation of death, when He gave up His only son to die, paying the penalty for our sin. But, because Jesus came out of that tomb and lives, we are never alone! Praying for you to find peace and comfort from New Bern, NC, USA.

Love you, sir. As a human being. Saying "sorry" often is a void filled when there is nothing left to say, but people understand the sentiment and hopefully appreciate it. God bless you and thank you for sharing your story. Someday, there will be no more tears, nor sorrow, nor pain.

Never, ever, worry about showing your emotions to us phans as we absolutely, totally understand......and for all the joy you have given us over this last year (when we've needed it the most), WE will always be there for YOU. You probably don't even realize just how loved you truly are in many of our phans' groups. Seriously--we have come to cherish you, and will always, always will be there to love and support you. There was a reason you needed to hear this by David, as the Universe was obviously working hard at its Sacred Synchronicity for you. Although it's songs like these which can be so bittersweet, just try to allow David's glorious voice to work its magic on you, putting a soothing balm upon your hurting heart. WE know; so many of us just KNOW and UNDERSTAND. Sending lots of love and peace-filled prayers to you, my sweet, kind phriend.

David can't do a bad song. He sings for Jesus and nothing less than his absolute best is acceptable for him to lay at the Masters feet. The peace you are looking for is there too. It is only when we acknowledge that we can't do it on our own and place our lives at His feet that we can find true peace. It doesn't mean there are no more problems but it does mean that you don't face them alone. We are all the same and He is the answer. I found peace exactly the same way, kneeling at the Masters feet.

This song was sung for his sister (the one sitting to his right). She died less than 3 months later from breast cancer. That's why this song is so special. Their strength is amazing and their love for Christ incredible. When I read online about this story and the significance of him singing it for his sister and them singing together in what was probably their last performance before her death, I wept. Hallelujah, praise Almighty God and Almighty God bless David Phelps 🙏 Thank you for this video brother.

Thank you for reacting to this song, your honest emotions are the same as those of us "Phans", this song touches all of us deeply, you're not alone. And your family members that have "gone home" are not alone either. In 2019 David sang this song in response to a special request at a concert for a terminally ill Phan and even called out her name from the stage, dedicating it to her. She was thrilled beyond words!

As someone said in their comment David's voice can be a healing balm. David sang this song with his sister (Sherri) and for her as she was battling cancer at the time. She passed away not long after this video was made. David had a REALLY hard time dealing with her death. They were very close. You will come to find that David's fans are a loving supporting bunch of people. We love you. David and his sister used to sing a song called One King at Christmas time. David's daughter Callie sang it with him last Christmas and she could barely get through it as she was tearing up remembering her Aunt Sherri.

This was my Mom's request for her funeral. She had to work after school to help the family then had to walk 7 blocks with large oak trees everywhere. This song got her past all the monsters behind the trees. Now I can listen to the music and know how it comforted her. Wish we could have played David's version.

I am loving these David Phelps videos.

  • @judyglenn8297

Bless your heart, I'm so sorry for your loss and your sorrow. Without a doubt David sings this song better than anybody I've ever heard sing it. I thought I would let you know that the pretty girl that sang with him that he kissed at the end was his sister. She had beaten breast cancer and they were so excited about that. I ordered the DVD as soon as it came out and the day that I received it I also got word that his sweet sister died because the cancer came back. So it's very emotional for me too because I feel about David like I would my own son. I've been to his concerts I've met him in person I've hugged him and told him I love him and he told me he loved me too and I cherish that moment because he is precious not just in my sight, but I know he is precious in God's sight. I will pray for you and your sorrow. Please know that I mean that sincerely. Thank you for continuing to play David Phelps! ❤️🙏❤️🙏

Oh Lyle hope some one is there to give you a big warm hug. Such an emotional version from David Phelps. I'm very grateful to you for sharing this even though we could see it was tough on you. Your love for your dear dad was showing on your face. I actually used to sing this for my granddaughter as she loved me to sing to her....only she used to call it the "Nightmare' song. because the lyrics said.. 'Don't be afraid of the dark' lol You are one of the best 'Reactors' around as you are 'real'.

Don't be embarassed about the emotion. They sang "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" at a memorial for my mom, back in '88. I still cry when I hear that song. The songs trigger our love for that person. No wonder we get emotional!! You were very brave to go ahead & play it, knowing what it could do. So sorry you've had to go through so much heartache.

Many more aunts, uncles, other dear relatives and friends have also passed in this time. I understand your pain. I've been told that it doesn't get easier with time, but it "gets..different ". Bad grammar, but to the point. Cry it out. Hug someone. Talk about the wonderful memories- pass that legacy on. Thank you for spotlighting David Phelps. A mutual "Phelps Phan" introduced me to this song at the time in my life when my daddy passed.. It brought me such peace and comfort.. I believe that his sister singing with him was battling breast cancer and later passed. His children are singing backup as well... I would have loved to had this played at his funeral five years ago but at the time I had never heard the song before.. My mother passed a couple of years ago and I didn't think I would be able to make it through this if played... His delivery of this song is impeccable.. His spirit is comforting... Glad you were able to sit thru it in light of it being sang at your dad's funeral.... No doubt he is one of the best of the best! Thanks for playing it my friend.

Just listened to this again, and again! I know you have shared your heart with us many times and I cannot imagine how hard it was for you to do this reaction. Knowing it was done at your dad's service, then losing your brother and mother...that was an extremely difficult year and a half, and I'm sure this brought every bit of that back. Thankfully, we can have the assurance of joining our loved ones in Heaven some sweet day, if we are believers and they were believers. I went to church with the Phelps when I was in high school. I graduated with Sherri, and sang in the youth choir at church with her. I always said she sang like an angel!!!! And I look forward to singing with her again some sweet day in God's Heavenly choir!!!! (We'll all sing like David and Sherri!!! What a thought!!) But I do appreciate you sharing your heart and soul with us! I truly love your reactions and you are in my prayers!🙏💜🎶💜🙏

Wow, literally the 2nd video of yours I've seen. I'm so sorry for your loss of your father. I can see the emotional response to David singing this song that has a great emotional value for you. I'm assuming you make videos about gaming, which I've never played a video game, LoL. I just want to say, David Phelps brought me to the Lord. Well, The Gaither Vocal band did. Hearing David sing: I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary, I fell to my knees and began a relationship with Jesus. Jesus is not religion. Jesus is a relationship. And David is proof of that. Great video, I appreciate your vulnerability and the strength to be a real man. Thank you. You should watch ALL of the Gaither Vocal Band videos. Bill Gaither is a musical genius. Truly. You'll see.

David's mother and his wife Lori are at minute 5:49. It was a very emotional song for everyone there because they all knew how sick Sherri was. I don't know how they made it through, honestly.

I had never realized Mrs. Phelps was in that video. I do not know how she was not crying her eyes out!! They all have so much professionalism!!!! How they can push their emotions aside, I will never understand! I cry like a baby!! God bless them!!❤🙏❤

@@cheriwilson9937 IMHO, I think they focus their emotional energy into the song. They have to do this every performance. This was a special though, and I imagine it was all hugs and tears afterwards.

Your emotions are such a wonderful testimonial of the love you had for your family. I am so very sorry for your loss. You will see them again someday.
What a beautiful version of this song sung by David and his sister before she passed away. The clarity and vocal control is perfect with every note. Loved it! ❤

I absolutely love your channel (even though you're a Utd fan, I suppose nobody's perfect 😉). Kudos to you for reacting to this for all the reasons that you mentioned. Sorry for your losses fella. YNWA

Never ever ever be ashamed to show your emotions! I'm surprised David could keep it together because is sister was dying from cancer (shown in the video), and one of the final songs he sang before her death. It is an inspiring song that gives us hope as we face death if we have the Lord Jesus living in our heart. I'm so sorry for your losses.

The lady at the beginning who sings with him was his sister. At that time she was battling cancer, and David said he dedicated that performance to her. She passed not long after this taping (so I am told).
