I love seeing wood on metal/machining channels - happens occasionally on MyMechanics and a few others. It's hilarious to me how they all seem to just treat it as some sort of weird squishy metal, textbook case of "when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail". For the most part it works ok, and at the end of the day (much like angle grinders after welding) sandpaper and a durable finish will cover any multitude of sins😉
I had to laugh in the last scene. I imagined myself trying like crazy to pull the hammer away. Confused at first. Then amazed. Then curious. I would have concluded that I had no chance without Odin's help. Respect. Good work, keep going!
stunningly beautiful work on both design and execution, aesthetic and mechanical I was confused when you installed the o-ring at the base of the handle, but it suddenly made perfect sense when you showed how the lock operates, also explains why only the central gear sits on a thrust bearing
Damn dude. You have some nice equipment and your design skills are on point. That thing was so well engineered. How you figured out that order of operations I will never know. Nice work.
Absolutely brilliant, if you ever decide to make more for commercial gain, be in no doubt that there’s a market… and please let me know. Thank you for sharing.
I imagine he'd say something about the toolbox "locking mechanism"... I mean... it looks like this amazing awesome as fuck hammer would break a lot later than the little red hinge on the box if you were to pull.
I hope one day I have a garage or shed with a tiny mill and a tiny lathe, so I too can make random bullshit when I feel like it. I miss machining in college
Hey! Do you think you could make a tiny juice press with the tiny hydraulic jack you made? I saw max maker make a a regular sized one with a 5 ton jack and I thought it would be fun to watch a mini one, maybe you could use it to crush an almond or smthn :)
There could be a video where you make a engine, but right now I'm thinking of a wedding engine. Engine name: SEMT-Pielstick 12PA4 185, V12 four-stroke diesel engine
Great work of “something” made. Sorry for the rant, but I am getting annoyed with videos that although show the most beautiful work, then take little to no time for presentation of the final product. And yes, OK, function was explained here at the end - well, sort of - but why not more expensively and with better detail pictures of the product and function. A missed opportunity and I see this in many similar videos of others as well.
The nerdy creativity here is incredible. Also it was weirdly shocking to see wood on this channel I’m so used to only seeing metal haha

Damn dude. You have some nice equipment and your design skills are on point. That thing was so well engineered. How you figured out that order of operations I will never know. Nice work.
Thanks!
You should find a box that need a lock on a horizontal surface, so that it looks like the hammer cannot be lifted.
This one was a great project.
A true work of art.
As a guy I’m so jealous of your skills & your toys.
Not just for show! I love this! Great work brother!
Glad you like it!
Beautiful. Please release the drawings for this one. This would make a great learning project for older nephews who are interested in machining.
I'm not really into the superhero stuff, but this is cool AF..

I wonder what LockPickingLawyer would say about this lock? 😀 Amazing craftsmanship by the way 👍👌
It probably holds up longer than the average MasterLock
I imagine he'd say something about the toolbox "locking mechanism"... I mean... it looks like this amazing awesome as fuck hammer would break a lot later than the little red hinge on the box if you were to pull.

Great, now I'll have a lock I can't even lift.
You can lift it if you're worthy of what is locked up.
Mjolnir forged by a gifted mortal.
Hela at the end 👀
And once you hold the hammer in your hand,
you can use it to defeat your (smaller) enemies!
Crazy dope
Классный замок🎉🎉🎉

Perdón, saludos desde Guadalajara Jalisco

Had no idea what you were making until the end… I knew the hammer part, but all the insides… I just kept thinking, that’s alot of extra stuff…😅
Sherline lathe, Harbor Freight belt grinder. 😂
No shade, it does what you need it to do!

I would steal the whole box just to have the lock….. once I figured out how to open it, then return the tool box.

This is fucking brilliant!!!
ああ、神様
사고 싶네요~~~
