I am aware that on the bottom part the piece of paper goes from one end to the other, my common sense tells me that a very small distance between the components is normal, but that it should not differ from one side to the other. It's an unjustified lack of consistency for a 1000 dollar device.
I too have the same issue. When ufolded there is some mm difference on the right side hinge compared to the left. Looks very frustrating on such expensive device. Any update from Samsung on this? Does the replacement unit have the same issue?

My hinge is broken, I only started using the phone a week ago and had it for 1 month. I am beyond shocked and upset. Phone can't open fully anymore, sending back to Samsung under warranty, just hoping they fix it.
Have you also seen their warrantable condition, in their terms and conditions. If the phone has a scratch anywhere on it. Even if it does not effect the screen or hinge it is warranty void.
My old Fold 3 had this as well as the replacement Fold 3 I got after making a Care+ Claim. My Fold4 also has this as well as my mate’s Flip3. I believe these tolerances are normal. However, it is quite ridiculous to have these discrepancies on 1800 - 3000 dollar devices.
It's not only the sound but also the feel of the new hinge. Compared to the Flip 3 gear driven hinge, it misses that smoothness and feels kinda rough. It's obvious that the new hinge design has more friction to overcome during folding process, which will also lead to faster wear of the hinge mechanism. Besides that it seems like the new hinge is also much more prone to fail than the prior used hinge design and the repair of it requires to replace the complete frame/display unit. Imo. a very bad decision by Samsung as their old hinge rly was made to last, and at least within the 15 month Im using the Flip 3 now, I can not report any issues with the hinge.
luckily I returned it immediately after noticing it, a logical observation would be that there would be more mess in the hinge due to the uneven separation
@@AceSolomo in fact, I didn't exchange it, I returned it for my money back, after a lot of research I decided to skip this generation and wait for fold 5 / flip 5. Until then, I enjoy my s23 ultra
if only i saw this video first, maybe I would got a diffrent phone... Cause rn the screen is completly broken and I didnt do shit for it to break. (I ONLY HAD IT FOR ONE MONTH)

They won't. You dropped the phone and the warranty is void.
They fixed mine under warranty after a drop. It's a known issue.

It seems that the problem is more common than I thought. something doesn't feel right. it shouldn't be like that

Maybe it's the design of the phone , because on every model the hinge looks the same.
I thought about this, but after more searching and visits to physical stores, I realized that not all of them have this inconsistency
@@EduardTech every samsung flip 4 I see has a slight bias in some it's enhanced in others not and a lot depends on what light you're looking at it
