Excellent video, seems like a ton of work. I’ll probably just buy a $300 Bose Bluetooth and put it on the tailgate as needed. Way easier to replace in the long run. However, it’s a neat install and if it came with the truck I bought I wouldn’t turn it away. Just not sure doing all that is worth it?

There’s this other guy on here looking to fix a tailgate upgrade and he can’t get power to the second door with the speakers so the trailer is were you get the power for the tailgate ?
There is an adapter harness that comes with the kit. It plugs in between the bumper and trailer connector wiring under the bed. I covered that in 13:30 mins in.
Question about the lights. I had the kicker system installed by dealership, but it did not come with the lights. The lights you have listed, I assume they come out of the plastic piece and then will pop into the holes on the Kicker speaker system? 2022 Denali 2500
I have a 2022 refreshed Sierra slt with the 5.3 and for some reason on the gmc store it says this is not compatible I feel like it should work but I wonder what the deal is

Not that hard of an install at all - plus you get some kickdown lights at night.
I wish it had a lil more thump but its pretty decent
Yeah for an add on - it isn't too bad. I really like the subwoofer kit better.

Might be a stupid question but did you have to disconnect the battery?
It's one 10mm bolt - so I would disconnect the negative terminal.
Your messing with electrical - and you should.
Did you have any problems with it because mine when you press the power button it just flashes on and then off

If you got a 2019+ yes it will fit if you have the flexgate.

I’m having connection issues with mine. My Bluetooth won’t show kicker. Don’t know if my iPhone 14 pro is the issue or not.

Yes - I popped out the plastic filler pieces and installed the LED lights.

You probably need the kit that includes the secondary bose amp.

Could use a bit more base - but its a small tailgate speaker. I think its loud enough - but I'm not exactly and old fart either.... lol.
