Well, it's fantastic and wonderful, and I don't know what other word I may use. I'm working on a few songs for piano, double bass, and soloist. So I started my "research" on web to know what "others" have done before. I was lucky to find that video. Bravo!
The thing is , that the score is made for cello , and everything has to be played and octave higher on the bass . Its no problem , but its less convenient :)
Just gorgeous, guys!😊😊👍
My two favourite instruments!!
It makes my day when you post a new video! Fantastic, as always!
Thanks Chris!

Very interesting music. I'm not certain you might call it jazz, but I like it. Beautiful chordal passages on the piano.

What a beautiful bass. It looks new! May I ask who the maker is?
The bass is new - 2004, made by Jim Ham in Victoria, British Columbia
I am so sorry for not first saying the playing and the composition were incredible! Thank you!
how do you get your bass not to scratch when get to high notes
Solo strings , less rosin , closer to the bridge ?
skan8 mine is also a school bass btw . I play in between bridge and fingerboard like the middle of the space and I don't use that much rosin.
what is this song called i will make a song to it
What kind of tunning is this ?
Solo tuning - all strings up 1 whole step
Glad you liked it! this is performed in "solo tuning" for the double bass - all strings tuned up one whole step
I liked it enough to buy the score and try to play it on my own bass ;)
