My headcanon is that Cheshire is made from scraps of fabric from Rosa’s dress stuffed with pieces of her own hair. Making it easy for demons to bind themselves to.
I was really hoping they would explore something like that in Origins. The whole time I was thinking Rosa was helping Cereza from her cell somehow, but they didn't really include her in the game that much.
If the next Origins game were to go back when Rosa was a trained witch before meeting Balder, there could be a point in time of her making a doll from a dress in her past, that may have been tattered for some reason. Another thing is, what if the witches who expelled her to prison were once future supporting cast members to Rosa in the next Origins game, including Jeanne’s mom? Is the Umbran Elder actually the narrator as well as a witch who understands luck and turning the tides in her favor for the Umbran Clan?

Something I just realized is that when Baldur telepathically speaks to Bayonetta in 1, that he recites Rosa's last words to him in 2. Almost word for word too.
Rosa's origin design makes sense after her death Bayo1 would unknowingly resemble her so much that young Cereza would mistook her for Rosa just by looks alone, too bad we will never know her.
Her entrance in Bayonetta 2 is so badass. She was wearing the chains that suppressed her magic there, imagine how powerful she was without the shackles.

I wish there was a timeline where rosa didn’t let the umbra clan just throw her in prison and she runs away with her child Perhaps that could be a nice timeline where bayonetta doesn’t have to see her mother die
This is my first time to here about Rosa storyline and I’m really excited to hear it. There’s also reference of bayonetta’s hair ribbon in smash bros that she has two and in the bayonetta 1 she give cereza the ribbon she has in bayonetta 3

I know this is an odd thought but I am just going to put it out there, in the universe and as a side story if the creators were to make it. I want them to do a Rosa and Boulder story. You can play either as Rosa, Boulder, and or Morgana. With scenes of the Umbra elder. Like you see her silhouette. They have their own paths and they meet up as in story if their forbidden relationship. As they fight against the angels and demons. But have their own bosses to vanquish needing eachother’s support on their quests. Leading up to Rosa and the witch hunts and Boulder meeting up with Rosa as she passes in the tower. Boulder being told by Rosa to protect their daughter. Meeting up with the various Cerazas as they travel back in time and Rosa leading the witches to fight the angels. (The clips shown.) Same with Morgana and her forbidden love with a fairy king. Her adventures with that person and helping out Rosa as they are similar with forbidden love and being vanquished to the outskirts of the fairy forest by the Elder or maybe her fairy love internet as she is with child. Something along those lines. It would be an epic! But again wishful thinking cause it may not come to past or maybe it will. What if it is already determined in the Bayonetta franchise……food for thought????

Quick correcton: the chains DOES debilitate Rosa's raw power, but she so strong that, even you, confused with the chains malfunctioning, she is weaker yes, but at the same time, no
Rosa is still more powerful but only because Morgana focused too much on her niche. If she had gone through with mastering and improving traditional umbran arts with her niche (illusions, demon masquerade) then she would have been unstoppable. But alas she barely if ever performed bullet arts or even do witch time, something Rosa (with the power of Madama Khepri) is too strong with.
There is so much lore in this game, that probably they could do endless stories! Maybe how a "Madama" is born, a ritual that send the witches to hunt new pact. Even how was the first armagedon that create the trinity and why Rodin betray paradiso
