This is the song I listened to after a 90 day clean span from heroin. I decided to get some bags and almost immediately overdosed and had to be narcanned over and over to be brought back. This song was there for me at my lowest of lows , and now finally I’m almost 1 year clean and sober and still come back to this and it helps me remember how far I’ve come. This is a song of hope. If you feel like you’re sinking , I promise there’s always a way up 🖤

Combination of elements from essentially every Amity work combined, especially Misery, Let the Ocean Take Me, and Chasing Ghosts, works really well. Feel like fans from every era will appreciate this one.

I actually really dislike this song, mainly because they had a breakdown buildup and it fuckin went nowhere?! just nothing, right back to the boring chorus they repeated 14 times. What was the point? it's just shitty songwriting
@@matildagreene Completely disagree, not every song has to have a breakdown. This might just be the most meaningful song on the album.
@@JBxIx I'm not saying every song does, it's just that if you do everything to hint at a breakdown then people are gonna expect a breakdown. I got completely thrown off in that section, from a songwriting standpoint it just makes no sense

When I heard this song I knew we were in for a bad ass album and that it was well worth the wait. These guys have gotten into my top 3 rock bands since I discovered them with Misery. This is my favorite song on the album so far. Absolutely fucking love the juxtaposition from the uncleans to the chorus in this song. Definitely an evolution from misery as a response to all the criticism. But they still manage to have that cool style while keeping things metal. Good shit!
Mate don't use words like juxtaposition on TH-cam. Most people won't be able to understand your comment, including myself . I had to Google the word juxtaposition to make sense of what you were trying to say. I now understand that a juxtaposition is the blending of two things together for a contrasting effect, kind of like having crabs but then placing a topical ointment over the top to contrast the itch and burn

@@binarylateral8342 It's completely different than their other music. Very commercial. That album could have been interchangeably played by 3 different bands. Still love TAA though, just a blotch on their otherwise perfect discography.

But if they stayed on the same path after Let The Ocean Take Me, itd probably all start to just sound the same. My point being that experimenting is always better than staying in a comfort zone.

Absolutely in love with this song!! No matter how “good” I think I’m doing it still feels like all I do is sink, been fighting depression for so long with those feelings buried so deep but then I found amity and found a way for me to put those emotions into words, you guys have saved my life a countless number of times yet I feel myself sinking further into the depression, thank you amity for everything you do for me and the rest of your fans❤️

And that's why I preview albums I'm not too sure of on iTunes first to see what I'm getting myself into lol. I couldn't even listen through every track.

Here before 100k views. Man TAA never fails to amaze me. I remember when I was in my sophomore year discovering a lot of different bands. Came across their song Pittsburgh and I fell in love.
