Thank goodness for TH-cam and this video! Been in my new place for 10 days and woke up to a blank meter screen. Started panicking and when I reached the agents, they mentioned I should replace the battery. Watching your video helped me do just that!
This is amazing! I've had this little box in the house for months now, and I never knew there were even battheries in it, and that it could be dislodged 😂😂. Many many thanks, brother.
Mpampa I had to wait 6 days to get my battery, I don't know why the supplier took so long. I am in Cape Town part came from Durban, I'm in South Africa. The battery I use is Lithium Thionyl Chloride I wish you can do another video just on that battery, it can last for more than ten years.
Isn't there a way to turn off the screen when not actively using it in order to save battery?and also doesn't leaving it on everytime affect the meter screen in the long term?
What is that bar on the left of the display? I was under the impression that it was the battery level, but after putting in the new batteries, it was still showing low. My meter shows the same.
the bar on the left im also told indicates the amount of load on your system. as in like the amount of power load your household is consuming. the more the bars means the more power you are sucking up.. try looking at t when you have the oven or kettle on it will go up to maybe 2bars or so.
Hello, RF con is what you get when there is no communication between the wireless meter and the one on the pole... It's most common when power goes off.. so if it's showing RFCON then very high chances you have no power at the your place. If the neighbours have power and you don't then there is an issue with your power connection at the pole. Call the power service provider to come fix the issue.. I hope this helps
@@techselectug thank you so much for your reply 🙏🏻 I still have electricity in the apartment, lights are on, but I just can’t buy units because of this error in display
Then that means your indoor unit isn't getting connecting signal to the one on the pole.. try taking it off the wall and extending it to a position nearer to the pole... Remember to press the back 🔙 button on it to refresh the connection as you move about the house looking for a better position.
Hello sir.i need ur help.my battery acid spilled into d conlog keypad. Now d zero button is not working .and my token has 2 zeros..how do i load d token?
@@yewande-c2u oh sorry. For that I recommend having nthe Conlog meter replaced. You could also try to have it fixed at your local technician. They can open the meter and clean the number pad from inside that would hopefully help. If it doesn't work the. You will be left with the plan of replacement.
if the rust is little scrape it off and the battery should fit right back in. if the rust is much in that the spring is broken then you will have to take it to your nearest power office for them to fix.
usually when a wired one goes blank the issue from my experience is from the box on the pole. for that one you are going to have to call some one from the power company to come and assist you. 9/10 times it needs replacement.
hello, yes i believe any battery will work for as long as it fits. in my case mine used AA(double A) batteries. I highly recommend high capacity batteries such as energizer and Duracell as they will last longer
Well you are going to have to force it out with something, preferably metallic like a screwdriver. You wedge it on the side and pry that old battery out
Wired meter is a longer process. Once it goes off the fault comes from the pole side so you have to call the electricity guys to come.change out the pole meter for you.

I don't think there is away to turn off the screen. It actually seems like the beeping sound for low power units depreciates the battery faster..

what if your wired meter goes blank, what could the issue be

What about the meters which are not wireless
