I was fishing at the NY side last week but I didn't get any fish.. it's my first time to fish there tho. I use crayfish and worms for baits but I didn't get any luck
Ya it seems hard to fish down there this year. When I went, the water was too high and fast. We were using worms as well. I used to have luck with uncooked shrimp you buy at any grocery store.
The dead fish are the ones that go over the falls. That's why there are so many seagulls at the base of the falls. only 10% of the fish that go over the falls survive
It’s close by the whirlpool golf course. 3553 Niagara River Pky. It’s quite a hike down. From the parking lot, it’s about a 15 min hike down to the water.
@@LakeRippers omg thanks I tried finding this place last week but I couldnt remember where to park so we settled down at the queenston docks. Had a good time down there but we will be going here next time. classic spot
New subscriber here! Liking the small mouth footage. Going to try there tomorrow morning.
It’s is a great place. This time of the year the trout come in.
You don't want to go down there unless you're physically fit. The walk back up is long, steep and brutal.
I agree water lvls change quick as well
Great video - love fishing the Whirly!

That something I didn’t know. Thanks for the info.
not true
its actually the exact opposite 90% of them survive and 10% die, a quick google search will tell you
@zip7179 oh I guess I mixed the numbers
@@OntarioFirewoodResource all good brother
Hey nice video. I was curious about your line set up. Looks like a few split shot weights. How do you have it set up plz.
Which trail entrance is this?
Across the golf course to the right there is a small parking lot and about 50 meters you will find wooden steps to go down.
is this in the upper or lower part of the Niagara river?
This is the lower river.
@@LakeRippers thank you for responding!

This is the whirlpool trail. The glen trail also takes you there too just takes longer to get to that area.
@@LakeRippers today i went to glen trail. no maintenance! i search map: whirlpool trail, no result. is it near niagara river rock?
The trail is to the right of the whirlpool golf course. Starts about 3 min walk from there. Down wooden steps.
