- Vidalia High School senior Gavin Jackson shows off his skills both blindfolded and then upside down as he performs Jig 2 like no other!
To boldly drum like no drummer has before!
Bear in mind that the drum line itself had recently added new students that were novices. I know, I know....the snare. That was the 2nd time ever in a game the kid had ever tapped on it, so cut him some slack on the technique, please.
the fact that they have 1 tenor that is that good, incredible.
Two years before this, that kid was a foot shorter and could barely march with them. They literally weighed almost as much as he did!
Bro Number 30 Is Impressed
He's the kicker. Good kid. Just happy to play.
😭😭😭
bro said bro
@@StanForReal8and u said it twice hahahaha
They made a big impression on number 30. He was wowed lol
Tenor was on point! Snare needs work on stick heights and making sure he doesn’t chop when doing the rolls but over all fantastic work 👍 keep up the good work
Bro the snare just played the quad part but on one drum so he needs to work on everything
Bro the football team got hyped
That was fucking awesome!
Bro... That's the best I've seen yo wtf
Extraordinario, magnífico, deslumbrante, perfecto todo una obra de arte♥️
Now that is a FLEX!
First sex seconds made me remember a second cadence our major made my sophomore year... they found a way to turn that simple start into some complicated ass shit.
Even the football players and coaches turning around to watch.
This was beautiful though
OH MY GOSH
do yall tune? holy
what are those drums called
Some call them toms. However the name is Tenors.
or quads
Yes I call em quads😭😭😭
@@ameliatownsend5966 that's right also. Whole name is sometimes called tenor quads. Quints are also a thing B that's when they have one or both 5th drums on thre too.

Wow

Holy cow
Really good exept the snare drum has a written part. He shouldn't be playing the same rhythm as the quads.
the snare was playing the whole thing wrong
me watching the game
Snare played that whole thing wrong
Ikr
The snare at the time was a sophomore only playing that for the second time ever. The band marched only 16 instruments during halftime two years prior to this.
This history of this band and how it was decimated to nothing and rebuilt from the ground up has been a transformation the likes of which I have never seen before.
He fixed it lmao
That’s an extremely small drum line.
Yes it is. But it's growing each year.
The toms should never be that loud.
hush
Bro thats what you talk about? Did u see what just happened?
Disagree.
The toms are the main part of this cadence
1:12 🤨
That's what I'm saying
Snare didn’t even play his part
That’s the first thing I noticed
@@Drum_Line a fellow snare player ?
Elmore County in Alabama just played a very modified, much better, version. With a modified, much better, tenor solo upside down.
That's crazy, funny that nobody asked
Marching band isn't that hard!
Also marching band:
as long as you practice enough its really not this is an example
@@nonku2538 unless you keep on almost passing out at least once during nearly every practice during band camp :’)
@@Kaivafilms8525it’s called you’re out of shape. Somebody sat on their couch too much during the summer
@@nismo29 but then at the same time I’m also carrying a bass drum on me in 70-90 degree weather as well

I bet that football team lost because of the distraction
lol
hahaha Cepfim from cd serdan plays it faster than you, nothing more than that, they shout why they don't dare to come to Chalchicomula during the week to see who is better 🤣
Hbcu all dayy cs this not it💀
It's not as hard as you think. Ive done it and it was pretty easy. even blindfolded.
The dude playing snare his technique is absolutely garbage considered I come from a high school that’s at a college level marching band with 450 members playing at a college level profession it’s like they just gave this dude a drum and said hey you wanna play snare I wanna throw up watching this
I'm not going to argue with you on that. The snare player was literally tapping on that drum for the second time ever in his life. He had never even played an instrument before this.
There's so much back story to this band. Just two seasons prior to the making of this video, they marched a puny 16 instruments on the field at halftime. Hell, they didn't even march! They stood in a V because they couldn't make anything out of a group so small.
Now they are marching close to 100 and in less than 3 years from now will hit the 200 mark. The town is small as well, making that number unfathomable to most of the fans.
Their improvement over the last two years has been breathtaking to behold.
I do thank you for your comment. Good or bad, every voice should be heard and appreciated for their input.
He fixed it lmao
Ok bro
