I just saw a video and the guy was taking the entire front bumper off to remove the headlight box for this replacement 😮completely discouraged me. This video just helped me so much
Thanks a lot for sharing how easy it is, bought mine today and installed in less than 10 minutes. And yes, you can reuse the covers, if may seem they won't fit at first but they will for both sides...
same question. I am 1) concerned about getting the covers back on...and...2) concerned about potential heat buildup if original covers are re-installed
I just watched your video, ordered these and they were so easy to replace!! I love them! So much brighter. The cords also fit if you work them around. Thanks so much.
I just installed a set of Auxito LEDs in my 2017 Acadia All Terrain SLE2. Headlights and fogs. The installation instructions from Auxito said to reinstall the dust covers. I did and will see if there's any issues. Thanks for the video.
Put the dust covers on!! I did this on my Acadia and after about 6 months the headlights started getting dim and flickering. When I removed the lights to put new ones, there was dust everywhere on the light, in the headlight fan as well as in the headlight housing itself. Had to remove both of the headlight housings to clean the dust that was on the inside and on the DRL’s
@@DMoneyGarage I own a 2017 Acadia Denali idk if it has led lights or just regular lights. They’re bright but what bothers me the most is that the fog lights are weak. Barely add light and are yellow rather then the sharper light I get from the headlights. Idk I would like to change the yellowish fog light.
Your Auxito URL doesn't take you to the lamp, only the website... Auxito only lists an off-road lamp, is that what you used? Auxito is asking for a trim also...
That’s old body style so no. But those can be done thru the wheel well. Just remove the hardware securing the front of the wheel liner to the body and go in from there. They are still fairly easy.
Do you hear a loud click when you change from Low to High beam, and back? I do and am wondering if this is normal. I would hate to goof around with the electrical...
Those are micro led bulbs soldered on the board. Maybe an electronics repair place might be able to if you disassemble it and show them exactly what you need. I’ve replaced several of the 14-19 truck hvac controls units for that reason.
Since the OP is now apparently deceased, I’ll answer- That is not possible with these bulbs in this exact vehicle. I just installed them in my 2018 Acadia. The bulb tabs will not let you install at 9 & 3. It does not matter however, they work great the way they went in.
@@DMoneyGarage I can’t find any videos on upgrading reverse lights on a 2017 GMC Acadia. You should do a video on that. I just changed my wife’s headlights. I’m not sure if that reverse light was stuck or what. I gave up before I broke something lol
So forgive as I havnt looked myself yet and will probably before a response lol. 2018 acadia owner now as of a few days ago lights absolutely suck. I keep seeing this brand as being recommended so are they actually real bright? And does one bulb serve hi and low beam? Lol like I said I havnt looked under the hood atm...also did you have to install a canbus afterwards iv tried some other brands on my Silverado never had luck love leds but never had a set I kept bc of always having an issue with em working right.
I’ve done this on a few vehicles and haven’t had an issue. I’ve done the testing and found the leds to not last more than a month or 2 if the covers are used. I contribute this to lack of airflow for the cooling fans on the bulbs to circulate so they are only cycling the hot air. With the covers off they can pull fresh air and the bulbs will last longer. I know a couple vehicles I’ve put them over 4 years ago still going strong with no moisture issues or condensation build up. That’s why I do it the way I do it.
@@DMoneyGarage Thanks for the reply,. They don’t seem to fit too tight at all, so that’s why I figd moisture would get in. Interesting that during rain that the mist soaking the engine compartment doesn’t affect the light at all getting inside the rear and on the fan mechanism and all that. Cool! Do u have snow where you are?
@@DMoneyGarage Do you guys use salt out there? Not sure if I trust them getting that salt mist in them here in New York. Have you had any of these Auxitos exposed for a long time in a vehicle where they’ve put up with rain and snow weather for a long time?

Did you experience any loss of clarity due to it being a projection fixture? I read that hid is recommended for projection and LED for reflective. Also, have you had any luck with the auxito leds that are wireless, without the driver - that doesn’t allow you to put the cap back on? Thanks!
Haven’t heard of their wireless ones. I’ll have to look into that. As for clarity, the leds were infinitely brighter and clearer than the standard bulbs. Vision while driving is greatly enhanced. Could hids be clearer? Maybe but I don’t believe it would be enough to justify going that route.
1 last question, sorry. When you installed yours, were the LEDs themselves installed in the 12 and 6 o clock position or the 3 and 9 o clock position? Mine threw a lot of dark spots and are in the 12 and 6. Many people have said they should be in the 3 and 9 position, but the way the tabs are set up, it won’t allow it. Just curious. Again, thank you for your efforts. Great video and tutorial.
Be careful you are purchasing the right part. The 2017 Denali headlamps are NOT like this. This video made me buy the wrong part because it seemed so simple. Make sure you Google a real expert.
I got the newer Auxito lights for my Acadia and the dealership took them out because the so called day it was interfering with the computers for the truck making my screen on the inside fuzzy do you believe this or were they just full of it

Wow, I just did my 2012 Acadia, yours has such easy access.
Was i supposed to leave the dust covers off? I was able to fit everything in the back if the housing and put the covers back on.
3 years later how good quality did they come out? Did they last? Looking to buying those same ones.
Thanks for the helpful video. I had Auxitos in my Amazon cart. Definitely getting them now.
I live in a hot and dusty place will it be affected if I leave the covers off? Live in Canada gets to about 40°c so 104f for you guys
If you choose to not but back on the covers won't water eventually get inside when driving in the rain?
It’s been just over a year and I’ve had zero issues with water or corrosion. Lights still work great.

@williamgill7239 so far, so good. I haven't had any flickering lights, electrical problems, failed bulbs, or melting dust covers.
What is the bulb size.
I get different sizes on google for 2019 Acadia what is the correct size???
Thank you. Is there an exact link to these bulbs. The link you provide seems to take you to the site but not to these exact bulbs.

Hi. I live in a pretty dusy area so if you do not put the covers back is there any way that the dust might get into the headlight? Thanks !
Definitely could happen. You could possibly drill some small holes in the cover to give some air movement to keep the bulbs cool.
I'm diggin those LED lights! Question: do they get hot while they are on. Not the light, but that box inline.
Nope. The box is just to keep the cars body control module from setting a dtc since led have less resistance than standard bulbs.

Yes. They came with them on the light harness.
