It feels like you've been talking about getting spears since season 1 (true though) 🤣
I had a fun time watching your previous seasons, and this one's gonna be awesome!

IT WOULD BE SO EASY for them to get spears!! Like you can just grab a solid tree branch and then sharpen the tip with a knife, and you have a great long ranged weapon to stab zombies in the head from relative safety, it won't get stuck, and you can make new ones easily. It's just.... IT WOULD BE SO SIMPLE

WHAT!? Did you have a walking dead series and I didn't know it????? I love those games, and I very specially love this one. So exciting :D
I love reactions to stuff I already played and loved. It's like getting back a little bit of my original experience. It's like I can watch it through your eyes. Feels like sorts of a time machine.

The notification for this made my day, very excited for this final part of the series. This season is honestly my favorite and I hope you enjoy it.

Nice suprise drop of TWD final season! Glad i caught up on your previous seasons now
Just a quick comment on your early thoughts (I've only just started the video).
I 100% agree about Kenny. He's a fantastic character because he's flawed like you say. He's my favourite of the series due to this. He's complex, suffers PTSD, is impulsive and reckless at times: but everything he does is to protect those he loves. Fascinating character. I do understand we some players hate him, but i don't. He's one of the most 'human' and realistic in the series.
With regards to the time jump, its a little jarring since S3 left on what was assumed to be a "mission" gor Clem to search for AJ. But it had to happen. They had to age him up to give him a personality and flesh out his character. He was still a toddler at the end of S3 so they had to jump forward. It kind if works since she knew where he was at the end of S3, so rather than start the episode with that, then time jumping (which may be more jarring) they jumped from the start. They will fill you in with the gap though through the narrative so don't worry.
With regards to Clem's age, i think she's around 16 or 17 now. She turned 9 during S1 (days before Lee rescued her from The Stranger). She was 11 during the events of S2 (she can say her age to Bonnie at the Ski Lodge). Given AJ is around 5 or 6, that ages Clem up to 16/17

I agree, Kenny is probably my favorite character in the series! He really was the star of Season 2, you keep going from "Goddamnit Kenny" to "man I love Kenny" it's great! 😄 just an awesome, believable character

@@LukaelPlays absolutely! Gavin Hammond absolutely kills his performance in the role in S2. He was great in S1, but man, S2 he takes it to another level. So many high octane moments with Kenny full of passion and emotion that he must've been absolutely knackered after his sessions in the booth 😆

Now we all love season 2 but back in the day, season 2 was very hated, I remember those mixed reviews. People thought it was too short and the choices were way too fucked up. Everyone was so mean towards a little orphan like Clementine. We just felt like garbage.
In the context of the full franchise, now I think Season 2 may be one of the best. Funny how a sequel can turn things around, right? The context changes everything. A good ending can add meaning to an awful episode.

Yeah if you go back and watch my Season 2, you'll see how my initial reaction was quite.... maybe not negative but certainly deflating. It's a really rough first episode, with a lot of bad things happening to Clementine. But I think ultimately thanks to all the new characters and interactions it does get quite good by the end and I enjoyed it overall

@@LukaelPlays Yeah, it helps to make believable that Clem grows to be the way she is now.

I don't know anything about this series, game or tv. I kinda got burned out on zombie culture 15 years ago. But you talking about emotional investment reminds me of TLoU so I will give this a go. Then watch your older series. I have to go to work, so only 1/3 through it. I must say though. If survival games taught me anything, it's that you want a spear to protect yourself. There's no way in hell you can stab a human with a knife and not also risk getting bit. Same goes with wolves or pigs or whatever else.
I kinda want to build a spear now. 😂 Screw keeping a baseball bat by the front door, I want a short spear with a long blade, like Germanic tribes used 2000 years ago
Or how about a 2 handed Scottish claymore. Can you imagine how ripped your shoulders would get, practically at home with a massive Zweihander?

If you plan on watching my playthrough, definitely start from Season 1 so you can get to know the characters! and man, I've been talking about getting spears ever since S1! It kills me that they don't do it, would be so easy.....
