Dude: I liked your irl makeup version of this way better than the filter! The reference photo looked like an avatar of you in a game or something. Uncanny valley vibes. It's a lot of steps to go through in order to achieve a you-without-makeup-but-better type of vibe, but it's all entertainment anyway. Mission accomplished!
It’s because she’s already beautiful, the ai thing can only make someone look better with our going overboard Since she’s already absolutely gorgeous the dumb ai thing doesn’t really know what to do Not everyone who uses the filter looks like an ai, but being that she has great features it doesn’t do much
idc if this is a lot of steps bold glamour is hideous on me bc its just detecting colors on my face making em lighter or darker, I dont like the natural shadows of my face that I reshape w makeup so thank you for the tutorial bc its better than the filter
@@AlexandraAnele barely there lashes are so gorgeous, right?! Every time I see makeup tutorials, there’s that moment when everything is absolutely exquisite. And then out come the over the top lashes. 🤭 I think everyone looks most beautiful with barely there lashes though, because big mascara casts shadows on the face. But live and let live! Whatever makes people happy, I’m all for it.
Just a random food for thought honest question - what’s the difference between a filter look vs a makeup look? Seems to me they both change your actual/purely natural look just using a digital vs material method.
ITS EVEN PRETTIER THAN THE FILTERRR!!!❤❤❤❤ I was thinking of trying to replicate the makeup, but it looked too hard. But you breaking it down, it still looks hard but it seems more fun now. Thank you, I'll give it a shot!
You DID nail that shug!! That looked awesome!!!! I love how natural it left you too. I know it’s a filter, but like you said. It didn’t do certain things like completely eliminate dark circles or change your brows or your nose. I think that’s really cool and you’re naturally beautiful. For real.
I’ve been watching you for years, ever since you first started doing eye looks for PM and you are still my favourite beauty tuber. You’re so genuinely real and always Alex. Never change. ❤
I’ve probably said this before ( 🙄) but it bears repeating . I wish you did other people’s makeup because I would KILL to have my makeup done by you !! You have such amazing & different ways of doing your makeup & every time it looks INCREDIBLE!!!
Ummm yes you totally nailed it. Crazy to see how the filter tweaked things again after you matched it! I've never used a filter, but I love this concept of playing around with the look and matching it. Killing it as always, Alex!
I swear only Alex can do makeup better than a filter. In my opinion I think you did it better than the filter ~ ever ~ could. We love to see raw talent beat AI ❤
😍 Amazing! These filters are nuts, but I personally think you nailed it and made it look even better. I actually love the darker brow on you too! Great work as usual ❤
You definitely nailed it! Your look vs filter? You win hands down! I love watching how artistic you are with the brushes and blending. Taking your time with these steps makes all the difference.
Just a random food for thought honest question - what’s the difference between a filter look vs a makeup look? Seems to me they both change your actual/purely natural look just using a digital vs material method. So much makeup gives the same plastic look to me. 🤷🏻♀️
@@queenj.8i895 The biggest difference is that filters erase your pores, get rid of texture, make you look like you have no wrinkles or lines, etc. Makeup can only do so much. If you go to the end of the video and look at Alex's filtered photo next to the finished makeup look there is still quite a contrast. To me make-up can make you feel good because it may disguise or hide certain things to an extent (like dark spots or acne), but filters can make you feel bad because no matter what you try, you'll never look like that photo. So yeah, there is a HUGE difference between make-up and filters imo.
@@queenj.8i895 Honestly👍. I love make up as a creative outlet and I'm glad more people are starting to use it that way, but I wish people didn't feel like they have to use it to look pretty. Idk about everyone out there, but I've never looked at anyone and thought they were ugly
No matter how many products you use if you are naturally beautiful (and you are) with flawless skin (which you have) you will always be beautiful. I love your hair by the way.
Love this concept. Love all of your videos but your skincare videos I rewatch all the time. Skincare videos are my absolute favorite. I loved your in depth 7 day a week one.
So I hate how this filter literally changes your face but this makeup look is stunning!! I would totally wear the eyes / do this makeup instead of using the insane filter🤣 you nailed this Alex!
Hey Alex was that you modeling for the Kosas concealer? I saw the photo and did a double take. I laughed when I saw it was for the fair with pink undertones but it looked really good in the photo! And Jesus that filter is wild. I tried it the other day when I had no makeup on and felt I looked like some kind of video game character. It totally gives some kind of digital avatar vibe and it’s so weird! Beautiful makeup though❤ thank you for never filtering yourself in your videos! I have so much respect for you because of that. Love you sm
I love it when you recreate makeup or filters, the end result is always so much better. 😍 Alex, are you planning on testing the foundation from Lisa Eldridge in shade 2.5 with olive undertones? I know you don't work with foundations very often but I'm curious to hear your opinion on the colour. I have the same skin tone as you and often use your recommendations (although you are able to perfect any other shade, I don't have that experience ;)). Even shade 3 is too warm for me and I remember you tested that one before and it actually looked great on you.
Girl, this is so informative. Yes it's a lot of products and steps but I'm learning so much! Just the primer section taught me some new things! I'm so excited to watch the rest. I got oily eyelids with a significant step that are constantly watering throughout the day. I like bareminerals primetime as a daily eyelid primer. Then at your recommendation I got UD primer potion which I really like for eyeshadow/mascara priming!!
Side note: I'm really enjoying the voiceover content - makes it more personal somehow? (not that I want your credit card details or anything Alex lol) Anyway, I'm really impressed at the look and how you talked about it! :)) thumbs up from me I do have a request tho - lately I've been feeling the effects on consumerism and have really had to step back and re-analyse my thought process. I was wondering if you cold do a video on multi-tasking products? Obvs lip eye cheek things are interchangeable (glosses and balms count too) but also things like eyeshadow as highlighter or blush or bronzer (or lips) and concealer/foundations as contours/bronzers. Just whatever you've found works for you if you've done it. No pressure, just a suggestion and honestly such a good video idea this time round Alex (not to say others were shit but fr I love this stuff) :))
Interesting. I always feel like moisturizer and primer makes my skin too glowing so that many different types of primers make me cautious. Anastasia is the best contour stick I've found compared to many others. I think adding the fair lumiglow will achieve the pearlescent effect of that expensive primer. Beautiful job.
Hey Alex, I absolutely love all your videos, this one was no exception. I think your makeup is always really awesome and beautiful. The filter looks like fun. And yes, you nailed it! 👌🏼❤️
Regarding what I would do different: I would use a gray lip liner to create shadow and buff it really well and then use a more rosewood to lightly line and fill in a bit of the lip (buffing) and finish with a clear gloss or balm (something not so shinny )
It's scary how legit these filters look😵 I'm so out of the loop with these social media filter thingies that I hadn't noticed before. Maybe they are already like that for a long time 😅 idk. But it's still scary.
How long before these filters are put on our mirrors... It's scary that I can imagine it not being far away... Clothing shops having mirrors that will make the clothes look good... Snatch in the waist, filter out the lumps and bumps.... Arghhhh... Beautiful look as always Alex... I'm going to try this in my own slap dash way... 🔥
I like The colors and what it makes the skin look like.... but the distortion KILLS it so bad The makeup end result you did was great and silly Alex is amazing xDDD
Oh man, 2 burning Qs- does the Sisley primer photograph well? Curious if it’s something you’d consider for bridal makeup specifically? 2nd- must know about these dagger earring charms, I have been on the hunt
Alex……you are so extremely talented and I love how real you are….all the time…..tell us like it is which is so refreshing! This filter looks so weird on me….it doesn’t really look like me…..but, I am going to give it a try because you look fine!!!!
Oooh I really like that GXVE eye paint! They're not a brand I really care about, but that cool brown shimmer is totally my grungy '90s vibe! How would you compare the formula to other liquid shadows, like the ones from About-Face, Danessa Myricks, or Haus Labs? Have you tried any of GXVE's matte eye paints?
abh definitely marketed those sticks as foundation sticks at first! they must’ve rebranded it as a contour stick once they dropped their liquid foundation
The eyes have been recreated so accurately. They are awesome!!!! I have an objection about the lips part. It would be more preferable if you kept them as simple as possible (just a lip pencil). The glossy effect would be visible due to the preliminary hydration... Anywise, it is an astonishing makeup look Alex!!! Greetings from Greece 💜
I love your style so much and I have never had short hair like this but inspired by you my fiance shaved my head short/cut leaving top a bit longer and it's so much fun. I will be growing it back out as my headshape is not as cute as yours and I planned doing it anyway but I do love it! Love your make up content!
I wish Benefit would bring back their Pearl Primer!! I use the Porefessional primer daily but the Pearl Primer was nice to use on occasion for an amazing matte glow (if that makes sense).
