Daniel Defense M4V7 Review

I regret my purchase of it.
I had to build one from the ground up -- b/c the DD shoots like a dog. Good MOA, but not dialed in for follow-ups. I went from .87 to .64 on my splits by building a faster/better gun for $300 cheaper.

@@Gnolomweb did you consider an adjustable gas block? I put one in my ddm4, along with a JP Enterprises silent capture recoil spring and I can't imagine using anything else if my life were on the line...

@@donprater6944 It was "economical" for me to just build another gun (had some parts laying around.) and Id rather just have another gun than edit the DD. (except the 6lb mill spec trigger had to go on the DD.)
The new build used .223 wild 18" barrel with a rifle length system. Superlative Arms adj GB; Brownells low mass bcg, Armaspec H2 captured spring. (getting just under 2" groups at 200yrds with handloads tailored to it. &, surpressed, it shoots only a touch harder than my 22LR bolt action.)
JP is just too expensive and I can't see what I"m really getting out of it. The Brownells BCG+Armaspec =$180 total shipped to my house. JP ends up being around $700ish.
The only downside from the Brownells BCG is it leaves space for crud to get into the dust cover -- so I wouldn't be running and gunning in a tsunami in the mud... but I don't expect to be in that scenario .

@@Gnolomweb it does sound like you are a competition shooter. I would suggest that maybe don’t focus on split times and the competition side and think more combat or duty use. You said good moa. It is reliable. That’s what a rifle is supposed to be my friend. Competition shooting is not real life and kind of distorting to the brain. Adjust your mind set from competition to combat. Much better end results

Good video. Some advice from an old operator…..Slow down….when you are behind your simulated cover you are moving to quickly in a jerking motion…reduce your speed and concentrate on steady smooth movement. Trust me if you train with simunitions or god forbid airsoft you will notice an improvement in combat efficiency after a few practice drills.

My dealer only had black(v 11) and fde (v 7) so I got the fde. I like it a lot but the mil-spec is my favorite.

If you have a DD you have a damn good rifle but I’m left handed and no my mother was not a witch but with a ADM about the same price with ambi controls Magpul furniture Geissele trigger it’s not even close and to be honest I also like the BCM better but who cares what I think great video love your channel!🤯🔫🃏
