Lets be honest- they are not always meaningful in the context they are presented in to back up a specific theory, sometimes it is just specious reasoning through arbitrary correlation. He is still a vile idiot in my opinion though.

it's called implicit bias. cops have it. we all do. the thing is to be aware of it and admit it, not deny it. that is how to counter racism.

Of all places to experience racism, I was super shocked at this one!
Some photography friends and I were invited to a bboy event by the main photographer. Long story short but, the white photographers weren't hassled but our black friend was. He was followed constantly through out the store where the event was scheduled to go down.
If our friend turned left, they turned left, if he sat down, they sat down. I honestly could not believe this was happening. They thought he was going to steal something but when he pulled out his camera to set up to shoot, they realized he was one of the photographers as well and gave him breathing room
Of all places, I didn't not expect this type of behavior, especially coming from a store owner and his crew who caters to the HipHop & skaters community!
The owner was an artist and bboy himself and to think that he viewed all blacks as thieves was a fked up way of thinking. We never went back and never supported his store again!
My point is that black people are automatically found guilty not by only police but by a lot of people who are brainwashed by the negative news they are force fed by the news media's.

Kyle, let's not forget that Eric Garner WAS NOT selling cigarettes on the day he was murdered - whether he did so in the past is irrelevant. He was simply standing on the sidewalk. At no time did the cops tell him he was under arrest, and they had NO LEGAL GROUNDS to arrest Garner. You can't be guilty of "Resisting Arrest" if the only reason for your arrest is resisting arrest. "Big Scary Black Man" telling the cops to leave him alone is NOT a crime! Guiliani's numbers sleight of hand aside, Eric Garner wasn't even committing a crime! Furthermore, selling loose cigarettes on the street is not a felony, it's not even a misdemenor, it's a VIOLATION! If he was doing it at the time, Garner should have received a summons, not a dog pile and death choke.

Mike brown case cant be compared to eric garner. Mike brown had just committed a strong arm robbery, attacked the officer & then assaulted him, tried to steal his gun & came back charging officer wilson after taking off once wilson was finally able to regain control of his gun and shot brown in his thumb which was holding the end of Wilson's gun as he tried to wrestle it from wilson, which all the dna evidence shows. Then theres a trail of blood proving that brown ran a further distance before turning back around to charge at wilson, who brown weighed 90 pounds more than, forcing wilson to shoot in self defense. EVERY peice of physical evidence proves brown to be the violent agressor and proves he attacked wilson tried to steal his gun and came back towards him after originally fleeing. All the physical evidence , the autopsy, and 10 black eyewitnessed all corroborate Wilson's verison of what happened to a tee. Brown wasnt walking in the street, he had just robbed a store for blunt wraps strong armed a tiny clerk and then attacked a cop. Anyone who still doesnt want to believe brown was a violent thug who was fully responsible for his own demise needs to watch the unrelated video prior to the day of the strong arm robbery and shooting. The video of brown attacking an older man half his size, sucker punching him and then kicking him repeatedly while the poor man was on the ground pleeding for mercy, then robbing him and leaving him there on the street. Thats who brown was: a violent lowlife criminal thug. That's why both his mom and step are about to face riot incitement and assault charges, all losers. Eric garner however was a different situation all together. It was definitely police brutality. Not racism because there was a blak cop on scene but police brutality, mike brown case was neither, only self defense. Garner incident unlike the brown case was not a fair verdict the cop should have been indicted.

I know this is old but Eric Garner was not committing a crime. That's like if I was speeding last week and the cops approached me on the street today and claimed I was speeding the other day, and when I tell them to leave me alone, they beat me to death for "resisting arrest."

Kyle, Brown wasn't stopped strictly for walking in the street. Wilson KNEW about the robbery and returned once he put 2 and 2 together. There are audio recordings online showing that he knew about the robbery (he asked if they needed more help) and there is no evidence his hands were up when he was shot. He was being attacked (Brown was approaching according to blood trail).
Quit sticking with your narrative when it doesn't fit. You should acknowledge that the Brown killing wasn't so cut and dry. Was too much force used? I don't know, and maybe it should have gone to trail for that reason instead of just the grand jury but Brown was not innocent

I agree with you Kyle. Just to be accurate though, politifact said that the unarmed black killed every 28 hours was false in the sense that 1. not all those were b police (which you said) but also 2. that "Further, the report only classified 136 of 313 deaths as unarmed, which does not support his claim that an unarmed black person is shot by police every 28 hours" (as stated by politifact). I agree with you though, overall, good video.

  • @MrAwake2me
    @MrAwake2me 9 ปีที่แล้ว

You totally missed the point. You need to do your research before you make a video. Garner didn't die because he sold cigarettes. He died because he was resisting arrest and it got physical. Brown didn't die for J walking. He died because he struck a police officer while trying to grab his gun, then ran and charged at the officer AND THEN got shot and killed. Do your homework before you open your mouth.

thinking about this even further something occurs to me...
if blacks are killed 21% more for committing crimes, how is that not racist? Why should a white person committing the same crime be less likely to be killed? If you can arrest the white person, or even disable him with a taser, mace, or a non-lethal gunshot, why can't the same be used against blacks? We're literally allowing the right wing nut job racists to define this conversation. It doesn't matter one bit who commits more crimes, what matters is Police response to *any* crime and whether or not that response is racist.

Anytime we start throwing "facts" or "studies" around on this topic, i feel that its important that we understand one very basic and important fact that give more perspective to the discussion.
According United States Census Bureau, in 2103, there were 316,128.839 people in the United States, Of those people, 77.7% were "white alone". "Black or African American alone" accounted for 13.2% of the population. In other words, for every 1 black in this country, there are almost 6 whites.

I think he meant "those statistics don't matter." Yeah he might of forgotten to insert the word "those" but by the context he was talking in thats what I got out of it. I don't think he meant to say that in broad statistics don't matter just the ones she stated don't matter as in the conversation he is having. I have no problem with the view he has taken. I think your overreacting. I applaud him

If you can't grasp the fact that the 7 to 1 statistic is because of profiling that ALREADY WAS HAPPENING for 60 years then you're an idiot.
The only reason they're getting arrested more is because of profiling that 7 to 1 statistic is because of nothing more than racial profiling AND then you're using the statistic of already profiled people to justify more profiling. Blacks are profiled more and killed more by cops because of systemic racist profiling that's been going on since the 60's. Nothing more.

***** Ok I get what your saying now about the profiling B4 that makes up that stat. So, the 7-1 stat is pretty much realistically bullshit? If so then I was wrong. But, I really don't think there is a SYSTEM against black people. There is no law I see specifically against black people. There is discrimination in general with every example Kyle used.

***** Yeah white people that do drugs are doing it in their own house and cops would have to get warrants. But when it comes to blacks and latinos they are running around doing it on the streets and its easier for cops. lol really ur gonna criticize misspellings on youtube? hahah ur a joke i don't decide to waste my time editing my statements like you do. And yes as long as its a law they shouldn't be breaking it period. I personally don't agree with the law and i do think its just some bullshit law. But thats their fault for doing it and breaking the law. More black and latinos get busted with drugs more than white people. You bitch about how thats so unfair but at the end of the day they breaking the law! And yeah racism will reduce overtime. Racism is sure of lot less than it was in the Civil Rights Era ya dunderhead. Btw let me ask u. WTF is ur solution to the cop situation? I say cops should get higher wages!
