Second, I'm glad I never got into competitive bodybuilding. I'm age 22 and grew up in gymnastics (14 years) and saw Brody Shemansky (gymnast from Iowa) go into professional bodybuilding. He was my go to for his amazing abs training videos. After I got severely beat up a few months before turning age 17 I turned to weight lifting (aka bodybuilding). I am naturally very lean but met a group of wrestlers at school. Some guys had to cut and they were miserable. I got into severe abdominal training after the night I was beat up and they targeted my abs for over 30 minutes. As I build my abs my body fat went very low. I wasn't trying to get shredded but I think I internalized wanting to be lean as the wrestlers loved throwing punches to my abs that were shredded. I needed to learn how to eat better to gain more muscle but I never had to compete. I saw bodybuilders like you who are really amazing. But I also was always glad I didn't have to go through that pain. This video is really amazingly good.
Great video my brother I love how you are telling the truth. When it comes down to it as well. Bodybuilding and fitness and health and wellness they all connect. But unfortunately in today's culture bodybuilding has become mentally battling and also spiritually battling. Along with it not being healthy at all. Casey, I know you said you’re not a fan of diet hacks, but I’m curious as to why? Greg’s ninja blender ice cream, or a bowl of zero calorie jello WILL satisfy you. Ryse products are full of “processed, artificial stuff”, as well as diet soda (which I don’t think is a bad thing) so I’m wondering why you are okay with those but not other hacks? Thanks for the vid every week, you look amazing.

I could be feeling somewhat normal during my daily walk, then see someone pulling a weird facial expression and it would piss me off so much and completely ruin my mood. Hopefully it’s not as bad next time around.

I don’t think you should. If you’ve only been working out since November and only started consistently in March then you probably don’t have much muscle on your frame yet. Plus you’re 16 you don’t need to be going on a diet to lose weight because it’s gonna mess with your hormones

Unless you’re an extremest that wants to gain more muscle by tracking every calorie you eat every day while also increasing caloric intake at such a slow rate you’re gaining .5 pounds a week then I would suggest eating healthy foods at maintenance, enjoying training, and just watching your body grow with puberty
