nope, absolutely not. i’ve never done any kind of steroids, TRT, HGH or anything of the sort and i have ZERO desire to try those things. my health and living a well balanced life are massive priorities for me. put in the CONSISTENT HARD WORK and CONTROL WHAT YOU EAT and you’ll be crazy surprised at the results. STAY AFTER IT FAM🔥
Finally, a transformation break down without any nonsense. Pretty much, caloric deficit, and hard work. 2 hrs a day, 6 days a week. Way to set the bar. Results speak for themselves.
Like he said, dont jump onto 2 hours a day, 6 days a week kinda routine. The main takeaway that I see from this video is to focus on enjoying/embracing the journey than the numbers, coz when we enjoy the journey, we end up having a lot of fun than target based approach. Also, we end up doing better workouts in the long run. Hope this helps @Nik
As a medical provider, I’m really impressed that he addressed eating disorders & triggers at the beginning in regards to this video. Actually, he’s the only one that I’ve come across who has. PS: His wife really did a beautiful job filming; I loved the aesthetics of the video.
@@beyondbackwater4933 Friend...I have 7% body fat. You are probably sitting on the couch with a bag of chips in your "tighty whities" living with Mom. Keep on being triggered!
That's because no real fitness expert is going to buy into that bullshit excuse. People didn't use that excuse in the 20th century and yet most people were thin. Eating disorders are in your head. And Americans are so soft and most have never done anything difficult so most of you think this eating disorder is actually hard to overcome. Study history even for 15 minutes you'll see you don't know what hard is. You're just being weak minded. Eating disorders are just an excuse and talking about them just enables the lazy. If it's really that hard then just drink a lot of caffeine and use nicotine temporally. Or just burn more calories. There's ways around it. Throwing a pity party won't solve anything.
@@BryanAdamCastillo great video! I know you mentioned about tracking calories and macros but can you give just a few examples of what types of foods you would commonly eat for lunch and dinner? Was it the basic chicken and broccoli mostly or what types of foods? Thank you, really enjoyed the video
Bro, I know you’re not a fitness influencer but I’m telling you , this was more influential than any other fitness video I’ve ever watched. I literally got off my ass and hit the gym after watching this. With your filmmaking skills and style you can hit this space in a big way! Nice work man thanks for the inspiration!
Was thinking the same thing, I'm in the fitness world and this was just incredible.. I reckon some big fitness influencers would pay him crazy good money for this kind of videography/editing
I was gonna say that’s the most influencer video I’ve seen in a while lol But it doesn’t detract from dude putting in the work and results speaking loudly. Kudos.
This is probably one of the best videos I have seen on body recomposition and lifestyle awarness. Straight to the point, insightful and easy to understand. I was big all my life, lost weight and gained it back. Now I'm finding a core motivation to return to my old habits. Dont exercise to follow a trend, do it because you want change your life for the better. Great video!
I have begun this journey..I was 279 pounds driving a truck a year ago..winded and out of shape and my health was slipping..i started with not a diet but forever changing the way i eat.. now i live by the 66 rule. Which is i eat 600 cals of hight protien nutient rich foods every 6 hours. Dropped enough weight to start running and i havnt looked back. Im now 173 and my fat is 15 percent. I really hope this helps..someone. good luck and stick too it! The goal is worth the work!
I came upon your video cause I was truly looking for some motivation to embark on a weight loss transformation, but also something to help me with a mindset shift. Today is July 1, 2023. My journey starts Monday morning. I needed to overhaul my fridge and unfortunately today I am not financially fit. Monday, July 3, 2023, I will have thrown out all sugary products and processed foods and filled my fridge with healthy fruits and veggies. Whole foods to be exact. 5'8"/249lbs. Got a long way to go, but I have conquered so much already. You see, I am in recovery and I have 3 years clean. For 33 years I abused illicit drugs and on Nov. 19, 2023, God saved my life. That is the day I officially stop using drugs. Thank you for your precise and easy-to-understand regimen suggestions. You are an incredible inspiration to me. God bless you and your family. 7/3/23 = Day 1!
AYE! stoked to freakin hear that man! you’ve got this. give yourself grace and be patient with the progress. this will happen, it just takes consistency over time! you down to stay after it or what?! 😅😅
As a strength coach of almost 20 years, just wanted to say “well done” on the video. No nonsense, good advice, and the basic message was “it takes what it takes.”
You not being a fitness Influencer is the best part. Those influencers are just pushing products on us rather than sharing actual advice. (I’m talking about the majority here, some are genuine too)
i feel you on that! some of them definitely offer good advice and have good things to say! i’m glad i can provide a perspective where i’m doing other things with my life than just fitness!
I did exactly what you did about 5 months ago. Calorie deficit, myfitnesspal, and an apple watch got it all started. Everything you said is totally true and works. 4 days a week in the gym for 45min was all i did and continue to do. I’m still losing weight on that program. May 1st i was 230lbs (5’10)today 9/30 I’m currently 176lbs. 2 months of keto, and incline walking (45min) jump started the weight lose wildly. To anyone that wants to take this leap, its well worth it and very easy once you hack your mindset. This has to be a lifestyle. Otherwise the progress wont last. Keep it up brother
I’ve been following your photography and cinematography since 2016 and as someone who has lost 200lbs back in 2010 and beat cancer in 2018 & 2020 I appreciate you bringing light to the subject. Have a similar story man, love to see it
This is a needle in a haystack type of video. Inspirational, honest and raw information. I wish I had found this sooner. Will definitely be revisiting this video often as well as using it to help others 👏🏻
Not to discredit you in any way because the video was very well done and had a great message, but this is a needle I'm a used heroin druggy pile don't be ridiculous. It doesn't need to be unique or one of a kind to be great
What a great video production. I've been on my own fitness program for several years. I started at 225 lbs and then found the Keto diet and got down to 188 lbs. But I plateaued out there. Then I found Remmington James who does the Anabolic Diet and I've gone from the 188 lbs mark to 143 lbs. today. Exercise wise I use to go to the gym 4 to 5 days a week. When covid hit I stopped going and started working out at the house 6 to 7 days a week. I use light weights 5 to 7 lbs with high reps. I'm 74 years old this year. Stay well, Bruce.
Just watched this video for the first time. I started this journey 2 months ago (It will be 2 months in 4 days). I was 290 lbs. I weighed in today, and was 256. All nutrition so far. The effects it has had on me goes far beyond just my appearance. You are right about so many things. Most importantly, doing it for your self, and not relying on anything or anyone else for motivation. Do it for the feeling and the sense of accomplishment it gives you. Make it a way of life, rather than something temporary. Respect the process, and don't get frustrated things aren't happening fast enough. Some weeks, I will lose 3-5 lbs, other weeks, I won't lose anything. It won't be a steady line. But give it time, stay consistent, and you will reach your goals. You may not get to where you want to be as fast as you would like, but put in the effort, and you will get better and better each day. Great video! and an awesome presentation.
Thank you so much for spreading these truths! I'm 48 years old and I've been working out and paying attention to my nutrition since I was 20. In the last 4 years my wife and I have had 3 children and I stopped working out and watching what i eat for those 4 years. My weight ballooned from 175 lbs to 207 lbs! But I never really worried about it because of the knowledge I had gained over all those years. I was just busy being a late stage in life, new dad! I finally allowed myself to get back to working out and paying attention to my nutrition about 4 months ago and I'm already back down to 182 lbs. My wife just can't believe how fast I did it. But I've always told her and anyone else who wanted to know....."IT AIN'T ROCKET SCIENCE!" 1st, be true to yourself about what you're putting in your body. 2nd put in less than you put out and you will lose weight. 3rd, exercise with both resistance and cardio and you will lose fat and gain muscle! I also can't stress to people enough the importance of at least 1 gram of protein/ lb of body weight for muscle growth. 💯!!
8 years ago i got into body building, for 2.5 years, i strictly followed a typical bro science diet and workout plan. i became addicted to the pain of the gym and went from 6'1 245lbs 24% body fat to a healthy 205lbs and hovered around 9% body fat. it wasn't easy to maintain and I always hated the diet part. the last year i was into fitness i adopted more of a diet plan to what you have just explained. I felt way better and stayed in the exact same shape that last year. Then i got divorced, became severely depressed and for the last 5.5 years I've been a lazy couch potato, in that time span I've been to a gym twice. today i woke up at 260lbs and about 32% body fat. I have zero energy every day. A few days ago i made a decision to start working back towards health, not caring to be the body builder i use to be, just healthy. I got a gym membership again a few days ago, but until about 3 hours ago had still not found the motivation to go. today i worked out for 15 mins. i made my muscles sore, did 5 minutes of cardio and called it a step in the right direction. I think its very important for people to understand you cant keep telling yourself one day, make today DAY ONE! start eating in a calorie deficit or atleast working towards a calorie deficit, and start exercising, weather in the gym, outside or home just start. put in some sort of effort and you will get there just like i know ill get there again.
Appreciate your comment, I’m similar. I am learning only a handful knows or cares about the real me. I’m finally starting to accept this reality, and getting away from caring as much, gonna take better care of myself
Ive had about 4 to 5 transformations in my life, each being over 20 kgs and the most being 55kgs. The most important thing ive learnt from every experience is to keep your mind sane. You keep yourself away from what you want for too long one youre gonna stop for whatever reason and youre gonna binge non stop and will be hard to get back. Back in feb 2020 i was 155kgs, by november i was 100kgs, had last year off. Went to 156kgs with much more body fat. Im 147 now n counting but yes. Your mind is everything, keep that sane! good on you for getting back on track, god bless you.
Thank you for this. I’m 41 and 290 lbs. I started back in April and still at it. This is very informative. I’ve learned not to count the days, but make the days count.
I turned 40 in April this year, I have a 7 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. I haven't engaged in any meaningful exercise since high school and have spent all my adult life partaking in unhealthy habits. I've stopped smoking, and now planning to give up the vapes. Really wanting to make positive changes for my health and well-being. This video was what I needed. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. It's good to watch something simple, well presented and with the information I need. Not some influencer fluffing themselves up or someone with an alterior motive trying to sell sponsored products or service. Sorry for the long ended comment. But thank you. Liked and subbed
THIS, brothers and sisters, should be the standard youtubers strive for. The cinematography, music placement, and editing are all superb. Of course, it also helps having a good camera and the vision for creating such content. But in the sphere of video content such as youtube where most videos look the same and arent very creative, this stands out. I mean...its called TH-cam. Its personalized content displaying who you are and what youre about. This is the first video Ive watched of yours, and Im liking what I see. that intro alone gets the sub. good stuff
I'm 38 and about 30% body fat, when you started talking about motivation and looking for a quick fix I could not help but get emotional? Bro I never get emotional, I've been struggling with carb and sugar addiction all my life and I have always been looking for a quick fix, so hearing the truth that it's CONSISTENCY hit me hard, I even teared up wtf. Thank you I'm gonna follow your advice. You gained a subscriber.
Get that carb/sugar addiction out of your life, bro. Stay away from the processed crap, anything in a bag or a box is almost always bad for you. Stay as close to the original as possible, centered around fresh, raw vegetables and high-quality cuts of meat. A vegetable salad a day with maybe a vinegar (not vinegarette) dressing is a good way to start. No deli meats, of course. When I was your age, I lost 45 pounds in less than 6 months eating this type of diet and working-out 2hrsX6days just like he talks about in this video ... that was over 20 years ago. Good luck, you can do it.
solid video man, congrats on your progress and well done adopting a life of discipline that has yielded these results. sounds paradoxical but as i've gotten older i realize that discipline = freedom... and too much freedom = chaos
This is dope. I’ve been working out twice a week for 3 months and this week kicked it up to 3 times but not really changing my diet. I’m definitely stronger and notice muscles getting firmer but the belly isn’t shrinking at all. This is a great reminder that tracking is my next step.
This is exactly what I did. Every 3 months I add 1 new positive change to my life. Started this back in 2022 and it’s gotten me pretty far in just two years.
Bro, the production quality of this video is FANTASTIC. The fact that you guys are both creatives and you pulled this transformation off while still being productive is incredible! You look amazing, and you earned every bit of it! As a sound engineer, pilot, and getting my foot in the door for cinematography myself, this video hit home. I've not been the best to my body over the years after I got out of the Active Duty Army. I really need to pull my consistency together for my mental health more than anything. Again, well done sir! It's even better that your wife was so supportive. I wish I was this far along with my music creation and video editing skills to do a cool before and after video.
I just wanted to say, this video has such incredible aesthetic. The video cinematography, the sound design... this is the level of attenuation and style I expect of humanity in the modern era, but not everyone has such incredible vision.
This is such a great video. There are so many people selling quick fixes and instant gratification. But there are no shortcuts to a healthy lifestyle. It's small incremental changes consistently over time that make the difference. I'm three years into lifting now and I'm not shredded but I'm much bigger, stronger, and (most importantly) happier than I've ever been. Keep at it!
A well delivered video without the nonsense. For anyone on this journey be prepared for the negative comments from friends, relatives and even close ones as your image changes. Some will be quick to discourage you as your fat loss changes your appearance, especially in the face which may lead you to throw the towel in and get back to where you were. Your doing it for you! and it's possible what your doing may effect your relationships but remain true to yourself, all the best.
Apart from all the knowledge given in this video, like everyone says eyes are the window to your soul, and this guy's honesty and simplicity were pretty much visible in his eyes. That was the reason I stayed till the end of the video, cause his words matched the honesty in his eyes. And yes cinematography was just on another level.
Love your honesty man! As a logical thinker and someone who's been on this journey for a while I appreciate your perspective. You don't sugar coat the process. We need people making videos like this as there seems to be an unhealthy growth of videos being put out that give young people either broken perspectives or even completely false narratives. God Bless🔥
Yup, for me the lockdowns had a silver lining. In the first year I dropped 42 lbs. BP went from 146/122 to 115/65. Pre diabetes gone. In the gym three times a week consistently with calorie restriction. The last time I had this profile I was in high school. I wear a Garmin for tracking
@@megret1808 damn that's seriously impressive, you are still able to do weight sessions and cardio, even though you're on the older side? I struggled since I turned 35 and I'm 38 now!!
@@samv284 If I can do it just about anybody can. I have a painting I had done by a young man who has no arms or legs. He holds his brushes in in teeth. He also has a very upbeat attitude. Every time I look at the painting it inspires me
Over the last year I’ve got myself down from 28% BF to around 13%, but I’m not quite where I want to be, and I’m grinding hard atm, it’s a real challenge and I’m fighting off temptation constantly, this is exactly what I needed to see right now
This is the most valuable video I have ever watched and ive watched so many. You have confirmed I am doing the right stuff and giving me a motivation boost!!! i am 9kg's in on my weight loss started at 125kg you have helped me so much in this 18 minutes than any other video. Thanks Bryan!
I am 62, lost almost all my post plandemic weight gain of 60lbs, the food you eat is half the battle and yes you need to track calories, I weigh all my food, use the carb manager and fitbit to track calories and energy expended. I do a 1000 calorie deficit at least 2 times a week. Also I eat protein 3 ounces, vegetables 3 ounces, low fat. I do 3 meals a day, if I get hungry i eat lean protein only. I walk on treadmill with a weighted vest every day for an hour do hiit 2 to 3 times a week, and weight train with weights 4 to 5 times a week depending on how sore I am.
I’ve been on my fitness journey for seven years now and through that time I have watched hundreds of not thousands of videos. This is easily the best video I have seen as it sums up the majority of what I learned and what I do myself. When anyone ask me what I do to get fit I can send them this video as it will really help. Well done!!
I used to be in the gym every single day, I was in great shape, and loved it! I missed a payment for the gym (due to being young and stupid with money) and was too embarrassed to go back. Several years later of drinking and overeating I'm about 30% body fat, disgusted with myself I finally joined back at the same gym. I've been going every morning at 5.30am 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks, doing 6 from this week on, loving it and not going to stop again! This is my life now! Thanks for such an inspirational (and amazingly edited) video!
Just came here to say that your journey is quite impressive and inspiring. Besides, the intro is beautiful, the editing, color grading, the composition, smooth slow mo while still getting a nice rythme... Take it from a pro, this is true art.
bro i be tellin people all the time you gotta be willing to put in the work and some SERIOUS time to pull this off and keep it, which imo is the hardest thing. Very few are willing to do this. I put in maybe 2-3 hours a day of hard work while allowing myself 2 days of rest sometimes but mostly one. If it was easy everyone would be looking like you. Great vid.
Bryan, awesome transformation brother!! I’m about to be 40 and have been working out since 2010, so far I’ve lost over 70lbs and built up a little muscle mass. I’m not sure what my current bfp is but I’m 5’4” and currently weigh 152lbs. At my most unhealthiness I weighed about 230lbs. Your video has inspired me to take the next steps in my journey to really achieve a level of leanness that I haven’t yet. I’ve had a dream/goal of getting down to seeing visible abs and although I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, I know I’m capable of more. Looking forward to more content from you, I’ll find you on Insta and TikTok! 💪🏻
Finally someone cutting through the jargon! Yesterday I watched a video that said exercise wasn’t a productive way to loose weight and actually hampers your efforts but left out any conclusions in how to actually loose it and to be honest it left me deflated like what’s the point. I’ve gone from 88kg at the end of 2019 to as of two days ago 107kg and it’s made me miserable being this heavy everything is just so much more effort and uncomfortable with all this extra weight but I’ve had enough and I’m gonna break this Doom cycle and take back control. to anyone else on this journey too I wish you all the luck in the world, we have taken the first steps in saying that’s enough we got to change in order for a better way of life.
Great video. It’s tough to not simply “get inspired” when watching your story. I am recovering from a climbing accident for 4 months now and that has made me gain several pounds for not being able to exercise. I’m almost at the point that I will be able to try jogging again, and sustaining a calorie deficit while maintaining my mental health will be tough, but I just need it right now. Thanks for making this simple, I will try to remember that to prevent me from losing focus. And kudos on the quality of the video/audio, you should be proud!
appreciate that and so sorry to hear about your accident😭 injuries are definitely tough but it sounds like you’re getting back at it soon! start easy and slow and be okay if it takes time! so much wonderful learning and growth ahead for you! much love man!
Stop counting bro, as long as your counting the days, your limiting yourself. Once you let go of keeping track, and instead, make this your new identity - that’s when you level up. You got this!
Brah! I’m inspired. Started my journey today cos since Covid, working as a nurse 80+ hours a week, my weight went to shit and I gained over 50lbs. Hopefully I can be like you someday
Decades in the gym with more strength but no definition but this video is a light in the darkness. Well done. You speak with honesty and the results are clearly naturally reached. I am going to give a try to this
By the time I’m seeing this video i am also in my one year trip to fitness. I was definitely in the same position with you when i first took the decision but i have to say that every drop of sweat worth it. Not only physically but also mentally. To everyone out there struggling to get to your goal… keep going.
THANK YOU for being a voice of reason in a crazy, complicated sea of advice. Taking your plan to heart-- Track calories burned. Track food eaten. Up Protein. End!
Bryan I wanted to say thanks for all your words of wisdom I did a combination of 5 diets and in 3 months on the rowing machine everyday I lost 100lbs. I was nearly 350 lbs. Now I'm going to start doing resistance training in the following week or two. Just wanted to come back and tell you that I appreciate all of your help.
Great video! I have been doing intermittent fasting since Jan 2021- I went from 265 to 150lbs without working out. Now I just need to get shredded like you!
"Do not rely on motivation or inspiration." This has been my biggest struggle. Over the last week, I've had absolutely no motivation, but I'm doing it anyway. It sucks, but in the end, yeah, I feel good physically. I can't afford a gym membership, so grit, calisthenics and walking are all I have at the moment.
Can you please pray for me my name is Jessica and I can’t seem to get away from the alcohol. I know if I could just stop drinking I would feel so much better about myself.
Hey Jessica! Instead of cutting alcohol out try to cut back a little and track the calories. At some point you will be really hungry and be like if I give up my alcohol for the day I can have a yummy desert or an extra serving of snacks. Eventually you will hopefully stop craving the alcohol as much as you used to
I agree with ^ when it comes to habits, I try to aim small and then work my way up. so instead of trying to quit cold turkey, try to figure out how much you're drinking then cut back by 10-20% each week. I had a hard time quitting smoking and this method really helped me. Tho I do know some people once they start drinking it's hard to stop and if that's you I suggest only buying alcohol that you are allowing yourself to drinking for the day, to cut the temptation out
I stopped drinking over 2 years ago best thing you can do for yourself if you're an alcoholic.. you'll never get your full potential out of life... so do it no matter and God bless 🙏
U need a gym program I suggest a 12 week ..you need to lock in and a 12 week will do that..I’ll pray for u and if your interested I’ll point ya in the right direstion
Just want to say congrats and good for you for choosing a healthy lifestyle, and I enjoyed the no-bs video as well. You said it exactly like it is and at the end of the day, we get one body, one life, make the most of it!
Congrats man, I am currently on a similar journey. I weighed 203 about 11 weeks ago, I am down to 182. I use the Lose it app to track my calorie deficient, water intake, BP, 12 hour intermittent fasting, and some other stuff. I rarely drink alcohol now. once in 11 weeks as opposed to 3-4 times a week. I stopped chewing tobacco. Now that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is hard. I feel like a crack head missing its crack pipe, just sayin. I have to get a cortisone shot on my left shoulder though. The inflammation is not going away. Sucks!
Very very inspiring! I just got cheated on last week and i really was in awful pain , I realised that it was time to change and become the best version of myself! Thanks for the tips!!
So, yesterday I watched your episode on filming with an iPhone as I'm shooting my first YT video today. And I told my wife that you're definitely one of the most creative and knowledgeable guys out there. And then last night I came across this video and put it on for my evening cardio session...and actually took a screen shot of your lighting set-up as I love the look. Anyhow, can't wait to watch some more videos. And BTW, I love the way you acknowledge the support of your wife at the end...very classy! My wife, a retired Navy video/photographer, is very similar!
Late to the video but here I am. This is an incredible explanation. As a soon-to-be personal trainer, I love the simplistic ideas talked about in this video. It's not a 30 day challenge like you said, it's a lifestyle change; building new habits, adopting a new mindset, and focusing on what you need to do. If I were to add one tip to your already golden list, I would add this: when it comes to the working out aspect, a suboptimal workout plan done consistently will produce better results than an optimal workout plan done inconsistently. Even if you only workout twice a week in the beginning, that's something over nothing. The cool thing about workout routines is they can be adjusted over time, you don't have to do the same routine for a year straight. Switch things up every mesocycle and make working out something you enjoy, not something that you despise.
You’re a G man, Just found your channel, been working out etc but never with some sturcture, I’m gonna fast and get an apple watch, huge inspiration bro, you look great!
I've been doing it for a month now and god this works. I was 22% body fat and I started with a 500 calorie deficit. Along with working out I have started walking 10-12k steps a day and tried to be as consistent as possible. Cut to one month later, body fat is 19.3%, I am looking fitter and better but weighing a few pounds less. A long way to go but this is the best advice I would take if someone wants to build muscle and cut fat.
Your before and after photos are really giving me some hope. As someone who's "skinny fat" (normal weight but chunky hips and chubby face) your transformation just looks incredible! One of my biggest insecurities is how chubby my face is so I'm hoping that putting on some muscle and leaning out a bit more is gonna help reduce the puffiness in my face!
This is probably the best weight loss video I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your journey. I have learned so much from you and thank you for being genuine and honest.
This has been one of my favorite fitness videos for a year. I've been following this advice consistently and I'm currently down 13.2 pounds in the last month. I wear my Apple watch to track my calorie expenditure and I use the Lose It app to track what I put into my body. I eat foods that I enjoy and I keep my protein intake very high. I feel amazing. Thank you again Bryan for creating this video and sharing your knowledge. It has undoubtedly made a difference in my life and I'm proud of my accomplishments thus far. Bryan said "embrace the journey". That is exactly what I'm doing and it is a wonderful journey to be on.
Same happened to me sir. Had a similar body type to yours, at 29 of last year. I didn't even know how much I weighed. Didn't care. I knew it wasn't about weight loss, it's about fat loss and the discipline behind that. Having a goal in mind, something like a specific body type to strive for, maintaining focus. I'm a huge gamer or was lol since I started this mindset shift, and I'm a huge trophy hunter to all the Playstation fans. I now use those hours I spent gaming, working out and cooking my own meals (then eating them 😋) so I've essentially earned a real life trophy and I couldn't be happier! I felt addicted to them anyway. I was only doing an hour full body calisthenics HIIT routines 5 days a week (2 days on, 1 day off consistently) for about 4 to 5 months while also counting calories, I went for a mostly organic diet, high protein, little to no sugar or sweets, the stricter the better ofcourse. I would tell you how much I "lost" but I still haven't weight myself lol don't need to, I probably weigh the same if not more, because I have way more muscle than I did before, so it's just mind games to weigh ourselves. Let other people tell you how much you've lost, they will notice before you do. Earn your rest days. Then you can be lazy and feel good about it. 💪👍
@@russellpwns2719 I got you buddy...first make sure to count your calories to know exactly how much your taking in daily (shoot for around 1000 to 1500) eat more protein than anything, I great for muscle growth. Skinless chicken breast with some salad about 8oz of chicken breast, cook however you like 👍. I was also adding like a couple protein bars and a couple protein shakes (I like what's called shamrock shakes 30g of protein a piece) as far as liquids just drink water and maybe coffee if you like it...they say black coffee with no sugar but it's hard to stomach but it's 0 calories which is the point. I also was fasting all day before working out...very tough to do but it like Jumpstarts fat loss. You can have a cheat day but only like once a week, depending on how strict you want to be (you don't have to do this forever by the way) more advice, definitely start slow, let your body adjust to a new diet. To keep it simple just start introducing more protein into your diet it will give you the energy to workout, try to keep it clean, no cheeseburgers or fast food (maybe on a cheat day 😉) the science is you want to BURN MORE CALORIES PER DAY THAN YOU INGEST! fat won't stand a chance! But yeah, low fat high protein. Burn 2000 to 2500 calories a day and eat 1000 to 1500 a day you literally lose 500 to 1000 calories of fat a day until you meet your goals. You don't have to be perfect with it, and I'm not a professional by any means but that's what has worked for me. Just start somewhere and experiment with what you can handle vs what you want to do. Every other day just do a lil more and a lil more and STAY CONSISTENT. at first it will seem like nothing happening...before you know it your pants are fitting better and then you'll be shopping for a new wardrobe. I hope this helps 🙏 just know your stronger than you think! And YOU CAN DO IT!
@@e420man3 , I've lost some weight before and gained 20 pounds back. However. Your definition reminded me of how it's done and you are absolutely correct, it may not be easy, but it's that simple.
Started my journey 2 months ago and almost 3 months in I've lost 30 lbs. The work is not done yet I'm striving to be better everyday. This video was awesome!
I’m on day 13 of my journey. Your video is confirming everything I’ve found out up to this point. So far it’s been incredibly eye opening counting calories. One of my biggest problem areas is condiments. I had no idea I was eating so many calories in condiments
It's legit 11:18pm June 1st 2023, 17 years old eating chocolate cake on my bed. I've been able to lose 70 pounds over the past 3 years and am 170 Ibs currently but I'm slipping back to my old ways and needed this. Thank you Bryan.
First time I've seen your vids. This was just beautiful to watch. The visuals were great. As someone struggling with weight and exercise, this was a simple to understand perspective. I have taken a few ideas from the video. I was on keto for about six months, lost 40ibs, but found it very difficult to stick to it over a long period of time. Now I'm back running again, I eat low carb for most of the week with 16/8 IF that works well. Thanks.
@cdk2 You don’t need a gym. Get yourself a 1/2 lb. Weighted jump rope and a kettlebell. If you eat right and use those two items 5 days a week you will be in great shape in way less than a year.
The storytelling skills you have is truly inspiring, also I needed this because I am a father of 3 and struggling to get in shape and this was just powerful 💥 ( ps then I laugh when you said don’t get to inspire on this video
I have watched so many nutrition and fitness videos over the years and I can sincerely say that this is definitely one of the best ones I have ever seen… Not only is it broken down into simple Principles but it was extremely well done! Much respect and appreciation for sharing!
This is an amazing video, Bryan. I just hit 40 and ready to take my fitness, health and energy to a new level. Really inspired me to start tracking everything. I have the time and I have the tools. Thanks, mate!
So so proud of you. Can’t say it enough. I love you so much ❤️
love you so much bug and could not have done ANY OF THIS without your love and support🤍
this is cool af.
You look good but be honest there was steroids involved
nope, absolutely not. i’ve never done any kind of steroids, TRT, HGH or anything of the sort and i have ZERO desire to try those things. my health and living a well balanced life are massive priorities for me. put in the CONSISTENT HARD WORK and CONTROL WHAT YOU EAT and you’ll be crazy surprised at the results. STAY AFTER IT FAM🔥
Bro I love you too. Lol
Finally, a transformation break down without any nonsense. Pretty much, caloric deficit, and hard work. 2 hrs a day, 6 days a week. Way to set the bar. Results speak for themselves.
Yeah but the intro takes forever

"Medical provider" ... stfu.
People who get "triggered" over a TH-cam video need more than dieting help. We are such a soft society.

The cinematography of this is stunning. I stumbled upon this and I'm only 2 minutes in, but I'm already so drawn in. What a transformation.
Thank you for sharing. In a pain spot at the moment and struggling to start. This is encouraging!

This is probably one of the best videos I have seen on body recomposition and lifestyle awarness. Straight to the point, insightful and easy to understand.

Of course he is
Don’t be a hater! It’s enough abundance out there for us all
Thought he said “ I’m not “FITNESS “ Influencer.
As a strength coach of almost 20 years, just wanted to say “well done” on the video. No nonsense, good advice, and the basic message was “it takes what it takes.”
This is so much better than any video I have came across on internet...
Not just fitness...
But also lifestyle.
As someone who has yo-yo’d weight loss and diets and watched hundreds of videos over years, I appreciate the authenticity of this video, thank you!
I’ve been following your photography and cinematography since 2016 and as someone who has lost 200lbs back in 2010 and beat cancer in 2018 & 2020 I appreciate you bringing light to the subject. Have a similar story man, love to see it

Bruce, that's incredible weight loss, especially for someone in your age group. Keep it up!
Dang Bruce, if you keep losing weight you're going to become invisible. 🤣 That is awesome. Keep up the good work!!
Hey good for you man keep up the good work and you’ll be looking great in no time.
That’s freaking awesome
Hope it’s still going well buddy. From another faithful. Bang bang
How is your progress 1 year later? :)
Your video editing cannot be referenced or called subpar because it’s CINEMATIC AND SPECIAL. Truly happy for you!
The edit from start to finish has got to be at the top for fitness journeys on TH-cam. Well done bruv
dang that means so much! thanks man!🤍🫶🏼
8 years ago i got into body building, for 2.5 years, i strictly followed a typical bro science diet and workout plan. i became addicted to the pain of the gym and went from 6'1 245lbs 24% body fat to a healthy 205lbs and hovered around 9% body fat. it wasn't easy to maintain and I always hated the diet part. the last year i was into fitness i adopted more of a diet plan to what you have just explained.
Don’t be motivated, just tell yourself i go 3 days a week. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night and that’s the fun night.
My divorce been a year this month i have the same issues rn zero power to do anything thanks for sharing God bless..

Keep at it!

Love your honesty man! As a logical thinker and someone who's been on this journey for a while I appreciate your perspective. You don't sugar coat the process. bro i be tellin people all the time you gotta be willing to put in the work and some SERIOUS time to pull this off and keep it, which imo is the hardest thing. Very few are willing to do this. Bryan, awesome transformation brother!! I’m about to be 40 and have been working out since 2010, so far I’ve lost over 70lbs and built up a little muscle mass.
This is the most dramatic fitness video i have ever seen and i love it
Great video.
I have been at it for 54 days straight and strong. I’m down 21 pounds and building core muscles on chest and shoulders. I really like this video.
80+ hours! Respect. Good luck getting ripped.
Damn 80+ hours as a nurse is insane.... are you on the floor?
God Bless you!
Do some jump rope it’s great and can do it a home!
Decades in the gym with more strength but no definition but this video is a light in the darkness. Well done. You speak with honesty and the results are clearly naturally reached. I am going to give a try to this
I’m down 17 pounds, have 10 more to my goal and I hit a wall mentally. Watching this video on the treadmill, much needed motivation!
By the time I’m seeing this video i am also in my one year trip to fitness. I was definitely in the same position with you when i first took the decision but i have to say that every drop of sweat worth it. Not only physically but also mentally. To everyone out there struggling to get to your goal… keep going.
I am 3 months into where you were 1 year ago and I am SO motivated to live my life this way.
Fantastic Bryan!! Clearly presented, great cinematography, great story, just brilliant.
means so much thank you!!
Keep going man. Results never follow a linear path. Just be consistent and keep reminding yourself “slowly slowly then suddenly”
May the Lord God change your story in Jesus name!🎉❤
Refreshing that you put all this good accurate advice out there for free. I hope it finds the people who need it. It works this is it.
My God!! You don’t even look like the same man! What a fabulous transformation!!! Outstanding!! You look so good!! Congratulations!!!
You’re a G man, Just found your channel, been working out etc but never with some sturcture, I’m gonna fast and get an apple watch, huge inspiration bro, you look great!
love to hear that! get on it and push through on the days you don’t feel like it! STAY AFTER IT!
BRYAN!!!! This was amazing! Such a great explanation of your journey and so inspirational!
thank you so so much Lori and can thank you enough for the constant love and support from you and Lou! love you!!
Keep it up man! This is YOUR life in the end of the day
Your before and after photos are really giving me some hope. As someone who's "skinny fat" (normal weight but chunky hips and chubby face) your transformation just looks incredible! One of my biggest insecurities is how chubby my face is so I'm hoping that putting on some muscle and leaning out a bit more is gonna help reduce the puffiness in my face!
Man the editing skills, the music...the tramsformation.
High quality video.
Bro this video is so damn good, you killed it fam!! Also those shots we’re incredible 😭🙌🏻🔥
bruhh you’re the freaking best man and appreciate all your support! let’s stay after this!!🔥😛
This is probably the best weight loss video I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your journey. I have learned so much from you and thank you for being genuine and honest.
4:25 Start.
This has to be the most genuine fitness video I’ve ever seen. Thanks!
What meals do you cook? I need some ideas as im trying to lose weight
How did you get on mate? I'm just starting my journey
It's legit 11:18pm June 1st 2023, 17 years old eating chocolate cake on my bed. I've been able to lose 70 pounds over the past 3 years and am 170 Ibs currently but I'm slipping back to my old ways and needed this. Thank you Bryan.
“This is just how I live now. This isn’t a 30-day, 90-day challenge.” This hit for me. I like that way of thinking instead
Thanks.
This is super inspiring, I definitely have a good workout routine but my calorie deficit is not there at the moment. Time to dial it in!
love to hear that! thanks so much! STAY AFTER IT🔥
I am the opposite. Where I live there’s absolutely no gyms for miles.
@@cdk2886 maybe you could do youtube videos or get a trainer who can meet w you virtually!
@@JessKaplan I’ve been getting some equipment like parrallets and I do loads of sport at uni. But during the summer I have nothing around
@cdk2 You don’t need a gym. Get yourself a 1/2 lb. Weighted jump rope and a kettlebell. If you eat right and use those two items 5 days a week you will be in great shape in way less than a year.
The storytelling skills you have is truly inspiring, also I needed this because I am a father of 3 and struggling to get in shape and this was just powerful 💥
( ps then I laugh when you said don’t get to inspire on this video
I have watched so many nutrition and fitness videos over the years and I can sincerely say that this is definitely one of the best ones I have ever seen… Not only is it broken down into simple Principles but it was extremely well done! Much respect and appreciation for sharing!
This is an amazing video, Bryan. I just hit 40 and ready to take my fitness, health and energy to a new level. Really inspired me to start tracking everything. I have the time and I have the tools. Thanks, mate!
👏👏👏👏👏 You did that! You look like a completely different person. Very Inspiring. Great video. 🧢🎩👒's off to you sir.
aye thanks a ton! means a lot!
