I wish that more pro disc golfers would share the weight of their discs. I find that as the speed of the disc goes up, I need to throw lighter weights.
That's because we don't have the power to throw max weight distance drivers. The pros do have that power. 95% or more of their discs will be max weight. Our bags would be nearly unusable to a pro and vice versa. Unless you're on the bubble of playing mpo with 450+ feet of power. It's fun to see what good players throw but don't assume that what they say about discs will apply to you. That's an easy way to end up with a bunch of discs that don't fit your game.
They've done tests. Thrown with proper form, heavier discs go further than lightweight discs. If you're having to lower the weight you don't have the arm speed.
All of Emerson's discs are the flattest versions of any mold, or are flat molds already. And exception would be a Gator over a Gator3, but Gators are full production discs, whereas Gator3 are limited release. BTW I have his tour series Valkyrie and it's more stable than your average Valk. It's more like a Dynasty, Viking, or Savant in terms of stability.
Gators are great for some. That farty, slow flight due to the blunt nose is perfect for occasional folks. But for most of the rest of us, we want a slower Firebird. So..fast, skippy, super OS. I.E. Dynamic Discs Justice
i need Innova to see me play... i ONLY use INNOVA and i dont need a disc from another brand for that "special slot" since i took the time to go through all the discs to find the best ones for me!
Confused on how the max works better for him than a firebird? The max is a higher speed with equal glide and more fade. Wouldn’t all those things mean it would be much harder to get a longer flight than a firebird??
Glad to see a tour series Valk in the hands of a solid player. As soon as those dropped, I got a few. Valkyrie is my favorite mold.

Valkeries are one of my faves. Love the flight and feel in my hand. Just change the plastic to vary the flight. Great pick IMO

Last year's Ohn Leopard3's are money fairway drivers. They flip, but they have a constant gradual fade the entire flight that is very reliable.
Those are fairways my guy. Great disc though forsure.

Agree. My game changed when I started buying discs with a little less weight in them (165-172). I def score better and throw straighter.
