Buried comment, but I just wanted to say I've never seen this channel but the way you put the commentary and go pro together is awesome Edit: typo I put awesoms just fixing it
Glad I found your channel. 1) I've watched 10 or so videos in the last week. 2) I'm amazed by the things you and other people can do on a dirt bike. Just when I think I'm making progress, your videos bring me back down to earth.
Gripping with the legs not only takes work off the arms, but it makes your peg weight 50 / 50 which makes your bike stable in mud, sand, other other slippery conditions.
me and my daughter been watching you from the start, when at 13 she started xc racing, wow mate you have super improved,my daughter stopped for university but we are now saving for her next bike, keep ripping man💪
Another great Zach video! I live on the west coast and deal with a lot of dust! Except for this years HANGTOWN MX 2019,,, just like your race, as soon as the pros left the line it was a down pour. love the mud races, we don't get them to often, but the track crew was great ! Thanks again for sharing
Watching you is like watching me. I have that same problem of forgetting to hug the bike with my legs and ride like a horse jockey. Hats off to you though for racing that GNCC it looks like hell. Hope to see you in the later rounds!
Love your videos dude! I got motion sickness from this one. Dunno if it's me, or if it's the mud on the screen, or what. But dang. Never happened to me with any of your more recent vids. Either way, great content. LOVE your vids with the narration, they add so much depth to the understanding of what it's like to be there.
Now that you’re riding the Yamaha I catch myself more excited for your videos I don’t know why I guess u don’t see 10 same channels doing a Yamaha 250 4 stroke in hare scrambles
Nice to see some video that reminds me how good of a decision it was for me to stop racing GNCC lol I have no desire to flop around in quad ruts for three hours. Good ride, Zach!
Man. You are fast through that slop. Out here west coast Canada, we have tonnes of wet rooty Rocky trails. You would do really well here. Love the videos keep em comin
Must grip 2 rip, must grip 2 rip.....lol good stuff. Perhaps you could do an update on the bike now/ walk around tech video...updates, hours, what else has failed besides the chain.....overall the Yamie is looking like an effective race weapon. No?
bro you looked so good the first lap. just get her reving and you ride really good. Also tip from us moto guys, put foam under your fenders and anywhere you can to stop that mud from sticking, and then you can just tear it off if you really need to in the pits. Its unreal the difference it makes to the handling
Hey did you happen to race against a James Larson? if so he’s one of my best friends from school and we ride all the time, neighbors kinda too! he rides a 2019 KTM 150 SX and his number is 696 . his number plate is blue and the 696 is yellow on the blue plate
Great race zach! that yz sounds good asf. love the commentary as always and makes the video a great story. nothing new but your camera set up is looking really good. not the hyper smooth bull shit that flattens our everything but your camera is high enough up that i don’t wanna puke. keep it up zach!
Dude love the vids I just did my very first harescrable today I was second the entire race and then my chain piled up crap so I got some tools fixed it in like twenty minutes had enough time to do another lap so I did passed like three kids in my class and finished in fourth I was four seconds out of third place but that’s raceing for you
I raced today and it’s my first race back and I didn’t eat before the race and 5 minutes in a was puking and then I had no energy I finished 14 out of 28 rides in my class
ZachAtk1 are you liking the 250f more than the smoker for harescramble racing I ask because I just made the switch myself I went from a yz265 to a kx250f so far I am liking it I can ride fast longer without getting as tired
Zach believe it or not from what I watched you were flying even tho you had s few mishaps and conditions were not good at all. I think you did great and the positions you got are nothing to sneez at. Great ride dude !! WFO
If you want to get in the habit of good techniques you have to practice them in your backyard or something slowly. Then as you remember it more go a little faster and a little faster until you don't even have to think about it anymore.
"I've been running flag style handguards, and my fingers still there. Knock on wood." - Please don't. They probably wont be if you keep knocking on wood. Also: 8:47 Four members of Slipknot, just hanging out.
Jerry wanting to get into trail riding and have been on countless forums reading about full wraps vs flag super scared about shattering both wrists can u shed sum light on your decision to run flag? Is it fairly common to run strong/stronger flags Cycra rebounds ee moto roost ect . Don’t care about replacing them or levers.how common is that wrist injury would u say highly highly unlikely or not?thanks
Matt Tobin I used to run full wraps but to be faster half wraps/flags are the way to go. When you hit a tree with a full wrap around handguard you will normally crash as for with a half wrap you just bounce off of it.
THE CURSE OF GNCC!!!! Haha, I've had some terrible luck with GNCC the past few years. I raced Unadilla GNCC from 2012-2016 and it absolutely monsooned overnight every year from 2013-2016. As I'm sure you know :) At least you were racing in the afternoon when it typically cleared up! I ended up not racing the last 2 years and I hear it's been a lot better weather-wise, thankfully. It was just one of those awful curses that felt like it was screwing with me year after year. Great racing though and nice finishing place, especially with the conditions the way they were!
Great riding as always Zak, I wish we had great racing series like this in northern Ireland. I get what you're saying about the yz I've experienced the same on my SX Vs my EXC (EX-W) when you ride slow on the Motocross bikes they beat the crap out of you and miss behave in corners and over jumps/bumps but on the enduro bikes you can go slow and the bike behaves and still tracks.
When i started watching your video i had a yz250f too but this year i got a kx450f. And it feel like i was faster on the 250. But i think its because the 450 has so much more to give i cant use them all
I wipe with my glove quite often when I'm riding. There was a LOT of footage I cut out of it just covered in mud... what you see is when it's cleanest.
Whats up zach great finish in those conditions! Have you ever thought about trying roll offs vs tear offs? I ran the pm quad race on Saturday and we got plenty of rain on Thursday and a little more Friday but you guys def had a rough track! You using a hero4 for this also?
I’ve always noticed with my Yamaha if your not hard charging hammering the front end doesn’t want to grip I got a 09 250 and that’s one of the years with smart suspension, got it taken all apart and realized everything was broken inside, hoping it would fix it and nope still rides like shit when you get lazy and tired
This dude deserves so many more subscribers. Great commentary and amazing footage keep it up man!
I appreciate that! Spread the word! Thanks
@@za1racing seriously though its great
16:55 focusing on the mud when all of a sudden “Hey Steve” Lol
Buried comment, but I just wanted to say I've never seen this channel but the way you put the commentary and go pro together is awesome
Edit: typo I put awesoms just fixing it
Could we possibly see a video of you washing your bike after a enduro
That would be a long bid it took me a hour to wash my bike lol
orange hill racing just one hour?
Could be a vid for the ZachAtk2 channel. Even if the process is an hour or two he could always time lapse portions of the video.
orange hill racing yes it would but he would obviously shorten it
Yes we need a video of him washing it
Glad I found your channel. 1) I've watched 10 or so videos in the last week. 2) I'm amazed by the things you and other people can do on a dirt bike. Just when I think I'm making progress, your videos bring me back down to earth.
"HARD IN THE GAS! I shift into neutral."
Your handling changed because you piled about 100 lbs of mud on it
The almighty neutral shift!
Canada is the best🇨🇦
Caleb LeBeau no, no not really
dude your videos are really cool keep it up.
Been watching this channel for about 6 years now! Keep up the good work
Your vids always get me into the mood to ride! Love your commentary!
Gripping with the legs not only takes work off the arms, but it makes your peg weight 50 / 50 which makes your bike stable in mud, sand, other other slippery conditions.
For how rutted and muddy it was you were still rippin man. Good job
Really enjoy watching the videos and listening to your commentary. Great job and great riding young man. Keep'em coming.
I've watched you guys for like 5 years now ever since I moved to the coast!! Keep it up👍
😂 saw myself after the mud pit coming up the hill with multiple line
me and my daughter been watching you from the start, when at 13 she started xc racing, wow mate you have super improved,my daughter stopped for university but we are now saving for her next bike, keep ripping man💪
Just came across ur channel and gotta say love the commentary just got yourself a new sub
Yikes that's dirty! Great job just finishing! And if I lived on the east coast I would totally wash and detail your bike for you as a service!
The good ole MUDDER!!! I miss going to the GNCC's and a lot of other races as well. Thanks for sharing this and man did that look disgustingly fun!!
Another great Zach video! I live on the west coast and deal with a lot of dust! You did some awesome racing
Your bike looked like a woolly mammoth Dug out of the arctic permafrost at the end. LOL great video.
Haha laughed out loud on that one!
Those conditions make me anxious just watching lol
I thought you went to Hatfield-McCoy.
Please post some vids!
Thx.
❤️
❤❤❤ love dirt bikes and thanks for sharing its great to watch Zach
Now that you’re riding the Yamaha I catch myself more excited for your videos I don’t know why I guess u don’t see 10 same channels doing a Yamaha 250 4 stroke in hare scrambles
Nice to see some video that reminds me how good of a decision it was for me to stop racing GNCC lol I have no desire to flop around in quad ruts for three hours. Good ride, Zach!
I much prefer hard enduro type riding myself. Slower (safer) and way more technical but to each their own _ still some good racing
@@northrockboy I think Zach is pretty keen on extreme stuff too. This seems to be one of those "it's tradition" kind of things.
thats my favorite time to ride, when the dirt is tacky like that. im balls to the wall in those conditions
You have to ride 250's like a 2 stroke, no matter the stroke. Just grip it and rip it.
They, 250f’s, certainly do handle better when revved up. It takes some getting used to compared to the torque monster 450’s.
Man. You are fast through that slop. Out here west coast Canada, we have tonnes of wet rooty Rocky trails. You would do really well here. Love the videos keep em comin

Wow! Tough race! You guys are gladiators!
Awesome Zac, once again.
Can you do another 24hr race?
Damn that Yamaha sings, makes me want to switch over from Honda haha, great video once again man
I got arm pump in the first five minutes just watching 🤷🏼♂️🤣
Good job! Love watching ur vids :)

Great footage i love it
Damn i love this video.. i watch endurance here and there.. but with this Funny commentary its just 100% more enjoyable to watch
Great Video! good work
Superb riding. So many line choices and trying to go as fast as possible. Your fitness must be awesome.
Riding very well. Improving a lot
Never been here this early, best Sunday ever.
Loved the commentary.
Fair play Zach, you're fucking flying these days! Been watching you since season 2, you've come such a long way man!
Love your vids Zach
About to head out to ride! Good little pre motivation haha
Good to see Adam back on the channel
You seem to be faster on the yammerhammer zach .
Hope to see you at the TKO this year.
I'm signed up!
@@za1racing Awsome I will look foward to seeing you there thanks for all the cool vids you do it sure makes work go by faster.
I got an arm pump just watching that. That's insane that you guys do that for 3 hours...
nice riding , track looks super fun

Way to hustle Zach, good job.
In those conditions you go faster on the 300. Hard dirt better on the stroker. That thick mud drags that little 250 down.

Zach believe it or not from what I watched you were flying even tho you had s few mishaps and conditions were not good at all. I think you did great and the positions you got are nothing to sneez at. Great ride dude !! WFO
Nice video, raced the 10 am boiled all the coolant out of my 2019 250xcf. Had to call it a day after 1 lap
That not bad at all I always finsh out of 200 top 40'slike 42most timegood luck next race

Nice job Zach!
Awesome video man!!
Wait, so you’re A class and you forget to grip with your legs?
I am seriously doubting myself now when I eventually get a dirtbike.
Adrenaline and fatigue do some crazy stuff to the human brain.
Is your class bike specific? Or experience specific? What I’m saying is are there any 125s or 150s out there in your class?
What camera do you use to record?
Splish splash Adam gave me a bath 😂😂

You don't need no 450!! Get the 300 back in action BRAAAAAAP!!!
how did you get the camera clean?
Keep talking it makes the vid more hyped I recon

Come to the IDR Closed Course Enduro in King's Ferry NY on Aug 18th! It's D4/ECEA
I am amazed.......that 250 4S plowed thru all that S___
How do you keep your gopro clean? do you stop and clean it?

have fun washing that bike!
Ive never done one of these races. Did you have to refuel at all?
Been watching your channel for awhile and noticed you ride the 4 stroke way harder than the 2 stroke
How many enduros have you won
Is that a 2 stroke?
How u liking the 4 stroke
8:40 hope not nock on wood that hurts
