A World Championship Final judo bout between Kosei Inoue of Japan, and Stephane Traineau of France in the -100kg category. Perhaps around the year 2000,(found on an old video tape).
This is not a World Championship final, it is the final of the 2000 Tournois de Paris. Too bad the ratio of the video got messed up, but great find though!
Yes, it's always better to see these recordings in their original screen ratio, rather than in a stretched out wide-screen format which consequently distorts the images of the judoka themselves.

¥康生の一本取る柔道素晴らしい❗釣り手引き手しっかりつかみ、これぞ柔道の基本😂
Inoue clearly scored an Ippon at 2:25 As in other sports, refereeing is biased towards local athletes
No, he left the sleeve go and had no control over his opponent. Even today, that would ma wazari or no score at all
Traineau was also world champion in 1991.
+Greg Tan Traineau was World Champion ONLY in 1991....
And bronze medalist in 1996 and 2000 😀
If Traineau had done to Inoue what Inoue did to Traineau it would have been an Ippon. Such a shame to see such biased decisions in Judo.
