Plus the bonus of using whatever oil I need to get me through cold/flu season. So if you don't like the humidifier you got on amazon, that may be an option to try. Also, I want tempeh flannel sheets!!!

Canadians flocking to the US: IRS considers a total of 6 months of being in the US over the last 2 years (rolling calendar) in regards to residency and taxes, so if you stay in the US for over 6 months over 2 consecutive years, you have a potential tax liability to report to IRS...personally IRS can kiss my ass, so the answer is to stay in the us for a max of 3 months in any 1 year and then head directly to Mexico for the remainder of the winter and THEN return to Canada for the summer. Also, for Ontario residents, OHIP expires after 6 months out of Canada and so do most vehicle insurance policies in regards to exposure of +180 days/year outside of Canada.

Awesome video as usual! You guys always make me laugh/improve my day but this video especially did. Keep the positive, light and funny vibrations throughout the winter season. We are currently at the peak of Autumn in Michigan. The tress and crisp air smell and look beautiful!
We also did not put enough insulation in the floor. One inch rigid does not a warm floor make however we found some cheapy washable rugs from Walmart. Then we splurged and bought a Persian runner made out of wool that just fits perfectly. I know, how crazy right? My wife made me do it or at least I have to let her spend money we don’t have some of the time. In any case toes are warm and it does look kinda classy even though we are definitely NOT. Therefore a little bit goes a long way. Still holding our breaths for the e-book. Enjoy the winter. If you get too cold you can meet us in Mexico on the boat.

Ok, those sheet are fire! I'm ordering a set today! Yes, Toronto is cold at this time of year, but I will tell you Torontonians are awesome to be around. The food is clean and delicious too. Believe it or not the GTA is lower stress living. I plan to do the snow bird thing as soon as I can.
Your soup in a jar reminds me of Mitchell's Soups, based out of Vancouver Island. I don't know why I never thought to make my own and put them into jars, what a fantastic idea! Would make great Christmas gifts too! :D

You didn't mention socks. Do you have the warmer toastier kind? Keeping your feet warm is key to staying warm all over--or at least for me. :) I don't have rugs in my sticks and bricks kitchen but the floor still gets cold in the winter (an old farmhouse), so my "winter" socks work better than slippers--also in bed for a fast warm up.

Boot tray is the way to go. You will contain the melting slush in the tray. And you could just hose it down. Good pick.

You should get a cookie try and use that as the boot mat. It smaller, you could even get the rubber ones.
You need a Truma propane heater wich sucks air from outside and with a litle chimney for the fumes. very efficient.
