4:53 in arcade, almost all Leo 2 players are taking full ammo so its just a easy 1 tap and I greatly appreciate it
Why play arcade?
@gagelikesburritos nobody sits at max altitude. Theirs always 2 or 3 teammates to deal with air spawns.
You see everyone so you can easy get 1km+ snipes through trees that you wouldn't usually be able too unless you have a better gaming chair.
Almost everyone immediately rushes around so kills are fast and getting caps are fast.
It's constant action and fighting.
Less stressful and overall more fun. I have fun every game. I'm not stressed compared to those who play realistic and rage every game.

Pretty good video just one problem you forgot the BT-5 when going over the russian tanks
A small note about APFSDS thats good to know. Look at the animations for the round in the vehicle selection. If its got that bulge near the front and isnt a completely straight rod, its a "short rod" APFSDS. If it doesnt, it's a "long rod". Long rods seem to usually have better performance against composite, you'll even notice this in protection analysis when you mouse over say the 2A4 with the flat turret front. 3BM22 will show a higher effective thickness than 3BM42 on the same plate with no angle.

if you have top apfsds (dm53,m829a2/1,m95 etc.) you can even pen the flat most frontal spots of the merkava turret

There are a lot more cheeky weak spots on a lot of tanks like the little gunner optic on the right sight (facing front) on a T-Seris Russian tank can wipe out the gunner and then the little box above the diver port on the hull on the Leopard series easy turret ring and kills the commander and gunner and turret ring…
just some little things to notice and to pay attention to, also provides more weak spot locations

Leclerc make’s me sad fr, back in the days I absolutely love the Leclerc but now it’s just a sad tank like the ariete 😔
Aim for the gun breach in generell. Or if u see an enemy from the side or if the tank is on a slight angle aim below the turrets center. Apfsds can go through extreme angles so if the enemie is angled only 20° shoot in the side so the round travels through below the turret. Kills everyone in the tank

When facing 2a7 & plss make sure to shoot the right side of the breach (when it's looking at you) since there is more space there than the left side. Also if you aim there, there is a chance your shell you continue all the way to his ready racks
If you are in a soviet tank, load the HE round and shoot the driver port of 2a7 & plss = one shot. Also shoot the wheels (not the tracks) with the same round if you are facing it from the side = one shot
If you are in a standoff situation with any tank, select your commander machine gun (if you have one) and shoot at it until you get the small damage screen on the top right corner. That way you can tell how many crew he has left and if he is carrying full ammo, it would help you make a plan to kill him
Dont shoot a soviet tank lower plate in the middle. Aim to the side a bit so you can get the other crew member
If you face a chally hull down or trying to peek, simply shoot above the cheeks and it will go through. Especially where the commander is.. its very thin armor
You can pen a lot of tanks from behind and disable their engine with .50cal . You can even pen some with 7.6

Very helpful wideo ,but u forgot one important reason: if u have active x300,x500 gold/xp booster and your enemy donated to snail more than 100€ all of weak spots just disappearing

2:37 I play a lot of vehicle with a 155 gun. and let me tell you 155 mm gun just absolute crush every mbt just aim at the roof. you will be surprised at how easilly 155 HE deal with moder mbts even the t90-M
3bm42 should not be able to pen turret cheeks and probably even LFP of an abrams that’s insane😂, however I feel like knowing that LFP mostly only kills the driver is a big note to give, the turret is still operational if u only kill the driver
3bm42 pens goes through lfp of any Abrams that does not have DU like a knife through butter. And it also pens turret cheeks of early Abrams, but barely. It have been simulated.
we can argue about turret, but im pretty sure LFP doesn't have a lot of armour.
Man someone did simulation and 3BM22 does go thru. SepV3 is uparmoured in LFP but everything is confidential information so we don't really know but at least we know for basic M1A2 and M1A1. Plus DU Armour on the hull is only done for testing
kinda funny how in the cold war the new atgms, heat and darts rendered armor useless, so many tanks like leo and amx-30 focused on mobility, then composite armor was invented to make armor useful for stopping rounds again, and now tanks just have railguns that can cut armor like soft butter. maybe armor will soon go out of style again
The u.s Abram’s and Russian t-series tanks having 3 common front weak spots seems to explain why their win rates are so low. While the leopards rly only have 2

For any Russian tank go fro breach no matter what the drivers hatch is small and hard to hit on the move and the lower front plate is also super thin and 60% it won’t kill so always do breach

If you cannot penetrate your target, aim their Cupola with your HE round. It will do the job.

Any advice to make sl as a free to play player? I'm 5.7 America atm and hover around 100k at beat. Can't afford to unlock any new vehicles or train crew
Play your bonus at your strongest tier. So if you get let's say for example a 150% SL bonus and you're good at German 4.3 use it there. Then go back to your grind.
Get a premium vehicle, or get a premium account for a little amount of time and grind for as long as you got it. Thats the best way if you want to gain sl. Unfortunately thats how the snail works, they made it nearly impossible for a free to play person. If your good at top tier and know it's play style, get around a 8.7 premium, but wait to play it until you got a 8.7 lineup or can buy other premiums close to 8.7, the snail tries to get you by offering 11.3 premiums/squadron vehicles but they get smacked around by t90m or sep v2 and the higher br vehicles and its just not fun when you get the highest br premium. Plus 8.7 premiums can help grind out rank 6 and 7.
you are at the point where playing as free to play progress starts to get painfully slow
time is money
and depending on how much time you have to play wt I can recommend some sort of premium vehicle/account
Premium vehicle
great if you dont have alot of time to play since they are not limited by time once you buy it you get to keep it. Just make sure to buy a good premium that is good and fun to play.
Premium planes are alot more worth it than tanks since in air realistic battles you only play with a single vehicle so you will get good use its premium %.
Premium account
If you can play wt alot this is better for grinding because it applies to every vehicle (including premiums for sweet double bonuses). You cant go negative in silver lions with premium unless you teamkill. premium account is limited by time .
I will still recommend making your purchase in the sales that happen in warthunder around the year to save money
I have bought Premium account, Planes and tanks and personal opinion good premium aircraft is the best way to grind SL and if you add premium account as well you will save hella time
but since you are a ground player you cant go wrong with premium account
@@nicojokelin5547 Yea definitely aircraft, I thought he was specifically talking about ground, but I play ussr and got mig21s and mig23ml premiums, and honestly they make so much money, don't get me wrong its still a painful grind but even when I play terrible I still gain sl then lose it, if I get 1 kill in air using the mig23ml I get like 15k sl for each kill. But I also have a premium account. I grinded out the su27 in 2 days lol and got it spaded in 1, and also got max level 75 ace crew.

So is the armor of the 2A7 weaker than the STRV122? It seems like the driver port areas of the 2A7 can be penned but not on the 122s
no its the same result, strv122 just has thicker modeled plates that can catch the round easier so you need to be more precise , the numbers are about the same
ah yes, the fuel explosion of leclerc, it's what got me killed most of the time with helis and planes.

War Thunder CDK made the AI stand still and respawn after death
So basically shoot every tank on the gun bridge.
at top tier tbh every tank has at least a weak breach that almost anything can pen

I m sad about upper front plate of Leclerc, Abrams, 2A6. With the angle i don't understand how the shell go trought the plate

@@bluebud169 ahah for the Abrams the plate have 80° of angles. For the Leclerc a little less, but you have 800 mm of Steel if you count the angle ...
I wonder how people reach top tier in this game. I have 4 or 5 top tiers in wot but war Thunder I hardly reached to tiger e with 1 month or something
Countries should start using war thunder as a tool to see where their tanks weakness is
Few things I would like to add
Russian tanks ammo at toptier has a pretty high chance of not detonating
so I would recommend going for the gun breach vs T-series tanks if they are facing you
side shots on the turrets of T-series tanks are also a reliable way to kill the tank since they have only 3 crew and 2 sit in the turret
and with the Type 10 you always want kill its breach
I dont think there is reliable shot from the front to kill 2 crew and since its commander can also fire the gun you are fucked if you shoot it and only manage kill 1 crew
and when your team sees you trade hits the type 10 they think you crippled it and then they of course try to push it and its carnage
have not played after they added the spall liners but I think these points will still stand
Stop the cap,I have to say It does happen sometimes but not more than getting killed by fuel explosion.

You play ariete because its a beautifully designed tank not because its good
Unless you're in a Leopard 2A7/122 or a T-80/90m you're tanks gonna be just as bad as every other nations. All Abrams have going for them is mobility, they get one shot just as easy as a Chally's Leclercs and Ariete's.
Actually its kinda funny, the t34-85 can pen most top tier tanks from the front (i always check in protection analysis with the t34-85) even if most of them are extreme weakspots, the fact that it CAN speaks volumes about how OP russian APHE is
Don’t shoot lower hull on Leo 2’s, I only carry 16 rounds, all you’re doing is tickling my loaders feet
Britain buffs when
The Challenger 2 series will receive a rework for the next big update, about Armour, but we all know it will be garbage
@@-Vandoo-3221Gaijin really need to change the multipliers for the composite used in the Chally. Seeing the 300m brick on the lower glacis get halved in effectiveness against darts is very annoying.
Still waiting for an Armour buff (or addition, since there isn't any) for the Japanese MBTs, the Ariete and the Leclercs, It's ridiculous that Gaijin gives all that armor and features to Leo 2s and russian MBTs but nothing to the others just because "sources aren't reliable"
It's all classified, they make this stuff up, just give the rest a semblance of armour going off of estimates like the rest instead of gimping great tanks to benefit the money making nations.
Also Abrams buff when, where's the Depleted Uranium plating and spall liners
The Abrams we have in game isn't the one that got a DU upgrade for the lower plate.
Welcome to War Thunder where Gaijin will spam top tier tanks with very minor differences so you GE them. DU one will come but as another tank
As far as I know, abrams never had spall liners, and they had DU on the turret faces
abrams has no spall liner and ther wear 4 or 5 made with DU hull but ther is nothign more about it .

Shouldn't the SEP V3 have stronger add on armour anyway? It's just slower with the add on, doesn't make a huge difference like it really should
