British ERA has an issue because it is rated for, and known to be, able to stop 30mm APFSDS (100-odd some mm of protection against KE) and Gaijin "chooses to interpret" that as 30mm of ke protection....
American ERA like ARAT is supposed to be able to stop soviet 30mm APFSDS but it can’t ingame either, meanwhile Russia gets its OP era fully eating 105&120mm shells
2:04 Sadly the way Abrams fuel tanks are modelled now makes them almost useless as spalling protection since they are covered by armor from the inside as well which creates spalling of it's own. They are much worse than unarmored fuel tanks which can often eat entire spalling better than a spall liner.

i would like to correct your statement about the merkava not being made for "tank on tank" combat it was made for tank on tank combat but gaijin itself cant really base the armor values off of anything so thats why the armor values r so bad on it.
The shield of the TKX is realy OP. The last time I shoot him was with M828a1 at 20m and the shield eat the shell. Then in another match I played 2a7v with DM53 and shoot him at 30m. DM53 was send to the moon...
to me its almost impossible to oneshot a leo2, not even ammorack works anymore since its just catches on fire then he turns around and shoot me. I have to disable the gun first then whack a mole.
why can't we complain as US mains that the game design of our tanks forces us to play passively while the russian tanks get to play aggressively to their desire? Not to mention that the aptitude of these tanks is reversed in the real world. So I think this is a very valid point for complaint.

Nato does have a better HE than russian tanks, Merk's HE is a instent overpressure against any mbt if you shot them in the track whether or not they are showing sides or front
you didn't mention chinese HE rounds against russian MBT's or the weakspots in the T-80B model turret casting. Also a very effective tactic in battles against Russian MBT's is to simply abuse the fact that they will angle incorrectly and shoot their crew and ammo directly through the front tracks into the side hull
I really enjoy my Arietes .. perhaps thats because Italy is the only nation I have at top tier though. I have a mix 10 - 11 br russian tanks and China isn't far behind that.
They are good tanks. Most of the issues in war thunder are map related; MBTs shouldnt be fighting each other on tiny city maps. Ariete is great on large sniping maps, where you have the ability to flank etc
For a 2 months "special operation" Its hard to say its a victory after 2 years and losing 83% of you initial invasion force. But ok other keyboard warrior aligned with russia
I would like to apologize, I was wrong in the number I put previously. Heres the updated numbers in december 2023, russia have lost 87% of their initial invasion forces, and 2/3 of their tanks.
The Abrams is the worst tank to get flanked by. reasons: - it now has an average reload that's barely 6s (on both the 105 and 120 versions) - it's engine is absolutely silent in Closer ranges Do NOT let this thing flank Your team, You will Lose the effort of the Entire Team if this happens.
Sadly, the Challenger 2 at his conception, the main priority was the survivability... I can see WT was spot on.... (*Sarcasm*) I should just stop playing britain, it is just not worth it
it isn't fun at top tier at all. both with how slow it is plus how bad the armour likes to be in the chally 2. it's one of my favourite tanks, but they are just painful to play

not really, merkava doesn't have good armor against apfsds, it has really good armor against heat rounds because it was designed to be hit by rpgs and other atgm's
@@crackabook The turret should still least resist 3BM60 at least. The hull on the other hand at the most should only resist 3BM42. You got to realize that the jump from Merkava 1 to 4 is huge in design. They are aware of their neighbors having MBTS thus Kinetic protection should be taken in mind.
@@Kwisss Most of their neighbors have outdated t-55/62 tanks with a few t-72 lying around, needless to say the 55's and 62's can't pen it, neither can the 72 since they use old ammo like 3BM17/18 wich are the export models their neighbors got and they are just plain steel rods, wich the merkava can easily defeat, so kinetic wise they are well protected against tanks they could face, things like 3bm60 and 42 are in use mainly in the Russian Ground Forces and maybe very few exceptions like the indian t-90's, not palestine, lebanon, syria, etc, not only they can't pen it, but this engagements are probably never going to happen, tank on tank combat these days are extremely rare, i can count with my hand the amount of times tank on tank combats have happened in ukraine and they both have thousands of tanks, imagine the odds in israel where their neighbors have less than 1000 tanks, never going to happen

So in short, shot the ring and gun, it works with every tank and you don’t need to identify the tank.
