DIY 200W Inverter Part-2 || 220V DC to 220V AC H-bridge || Square wave inverter

  • Hello all :)
    This video is a continuation of my previous video of making a DIY inverter of 200 Watts capability. In this part I have converted the high voltage 220V DC signal into a square wave signal of 220V of frequency 50 Hz. The project uses very simple components and I got some of them from old unused electronics. This is a quite efficient inverter that can easily be used to power medium scale appliances like a small table fan,laptop and mobile chargers and CFL bulbs without a problem. It also has low battery cut off feature and all of this is without using any microcontroller.
    This is not a sine wave inverter so not every AC device will be compatible with this design.

    I'm a holiest of eclectics, your videos are very helpful and well explained. I have questions
    1. Does high DC voltage effects inverter durability(is it possible if get 110AC Voltage and then we step that AC voltages) ?
    2. Does the IC and mosfate driver (that you have used in this project) need specific code modifications or they rebuild functionality?

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      High voltage DC would not effect the durability if the components you have used are capable of handling high voltages. The switching ICs that I have used work from 9V to 12V and you must find a way to convert the high voltage DC to lower levels so that you can also power those ICs with it.
      The MOSFET driver I used here can be used to connect to MOSFETs that can switch 700v but the operating voltage of the IC itself it low

    Pls reply my below some questions?
    1. Can we connect directly with 220v DC coming from a solar bank?
    2.Then how can we give power to SG3525 with 12 volt.? Can we attached a 12v smps module with input of 220dc to 12v dc for powering the ossilator?
    3. Can we add some feedback circuit for steady 220vac output?
    4. How to get sinewave 220v ac from it. Is it possible to get sinewave with attaching a non-polarity cap such as 1uf 400v.

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      1. Yes you can connect 200V DC coming from solar panel to H bridge. But the voltage may not be stable due to solar voltage fluctuations.
      2. You can use any 220 to 12V smps based adapter to power the SG3525
      3. In my circuit I have a provision for feedback in DC to DC conversion section.
      If you want a feedback in stabilization of 220V of solar then you may need to purchase a solar controller or a buck boost converter capable of handling that voltage levels.
      4. You can use a H bridge circuit and EGS002 module to convert this DC in sine wave AC

    Hi!
    I have made the circuit but when i put load of 180w the voltage drops from 220v to 170v can you tell why? The transformer iam using is extracted from 500w car inverter which is already winded for this purpose. I want the voltage to be stable to 220v or any other voltage which i have set. I have also set the voltage to 320v by potentiometer but on load it drops to 170v.Please answer iam waiting for you reply.

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check if your switching MOSFETS are getting too hot while working under the load, in that case replace those with more powerful alternatives. You can also try and adjust the feedback potentiometer while the circuit is under load to better tune the voltage regulation. Also check if your input DV voltage drops if you apply load, in that case use a more stable DC supply

      @@UtsavShah_25 iam using 12v battery it voltage drops but not that much like it is at 12.5v at no load and comes on 12 volts on 100w load. The purpose of sg3525 is to compensate for output voltage drop whether the voltage drops from battery or not like in this case it drops to 12v. In 12v dc to 220v ac converter this thing does not happen whether we put load on battery or not the voltage keeps on 220v. I want this ic to work like that. Well that is interesting..
    Your certainly get from me a BIG THUMBS UP!!!..
    But what i would like to know is how to improve the wattage output to 5000watts,since i've built myself a generator that has an output of 240V DC.
    PLEASE spare me the idiotic comments its not possible! coz here everybody should know any electric motor DC or AC can generate electricity one way or the other with few twicks here and there!!! .....well if you didn't know any electric motor can generate electricity well rather than go back to school "coz you waste only public money" alot of practice which means trial and fail trial and get it right!!!...
    USE YOUR BRAIN:what basic materials are used to make an AC generator?
    well round sheets of metal with a hole in the middle for the rotor small steps to slide in the copper windings,copper wire,magnets.
    USE YOUR BRAIN:what basic material are used to make an induction motor?
    well round sheets of metal with a hole in the middle for the rotor,small steps to slide in the copper windings,rotor small enough round sheets of metal and aluminium to keep the round sheets of meta tight together...
    HOW TO MAKE AND INDUCTION MOTOR WORK AS GENERATOR???
    well you have 3 possibilities;
    1 magnetize the rotor.
    2 drill holes in order to place on it magnets.
    3 put in one coil 220 AC,make spin the rotor and pull out from the other coil 220V AC.
    since that inverter push out 200 watts well it should be enough to magnetize the rotor and make AC come out the other coil."MOST IMPORTANT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER YOU DON'T NEED TO USE THE INDUCTION MOTOR AS SUCH BUT AS GENERATOR WHICH MEAN YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THE INDUCTION MOTOR ROTOR WITH ANOTHER MOTOR EVEN A DC 12 MOTOR FOR BICYCLE WILL BE ENOUGH TO MAKE GENERATE ELECTRICITY,MOST DEPENDS ON THE RPM OF THE INDUCTION MOTOR AND DC MOTOR".
    As i said above trial and fail trial and get it right,at school teach you only theory,making things with your hands make you learn if on thing work or it doesn't..
