A good way to wrap your mind around all these prices is comparing the cost of a new car vs. refurbishing the cost of a 90's Z. Also helps if this is your 2nd car and is a project in the works.
My Dealer maintained, 90 z32 it's 1st owner had the 90 k service at 75k ,$4k into engine early scheduled maintence cause the manual advised it and injectors plus recall etc...has 90k miles now,drives like new

Just replace your three V belts and if that doesn’t fix it then it’s one of your pulley’s so either alternator pulley, ac pulley or power steering pulley.

That’s give complete detail on how to change the timing belt step-by-step, and removing the timing clock spring With the motor In the car. in sequence
