  • This video depicts a portion of the BNSF operations that occur on my g scale layout. In this video you will see three Dash 9 40CW’s hauling a live loaded woodchip train on the layout. It depicts a train that originated from Portland Oregon & arrived in Riverbank, California over night. This train starts before sunrise and has a fresh crew that just arrived to take over the train. The train transports the chips now on Sierra Northern Railway track from Riverbank to Oakdale. In reality on the prototype, this is a short trip on flat ground with really no scenery what so ever. However, the journey on my layout has some awesome scenery as the train must traverse around my Canyon View Loop, which I modeled after the Tehachapi & Williams Loops, and travel up steep mountain grades to reach the summit of a Rocky Mountain. This is true g scale mountain railroading at its finest. This video is complete with narration and views of the train in the early morning sunlight. Come along as we follow this train along the layout on my Mountain Subdivision. Please be sure to like, comment, share & subscribe. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
