@@The_Mr_Brown he knows how to work a board and take calls but I think recent years have proven he has no natural knack for any aspect of radio broadcasting. I often say just as many things about anthony, jimmy and sam as most people do about opie. But where credit is due, they can be hilarious and are also much better at radio than opie. The opester does have his moments. Just yesterday I was recommended the shawne lenee breakdown from one of there live shows and the comment section is filled with opie appreciation and bewilderment which I support. It's a great o&a segment filled with great bits and inside jokes. I just call it like I see it and enjoy o&a as well as post snoty negative comments about it. It's all part of being a fan of a show that's long since been canceled.
@@The_Mr_Brownalternatively opie saw live from the compound as ant trying to break free of the old opster. Im sure in a little way any may have actually intended it to be that: broadcast his talents, bring attention to the show, and make people realize he was still putting more into it than opie was. If we characterize opie from his career before and after o&a we see he's fairly lazy, and doesn't know how to do much if it isn't done for him. Before the show he was slappy, and after he was in a bar and wandering the streets trying to play "charismatic good guy". Ant was the opposite. He won awards for his production materal... as hack as it was... and threw money at the compound show to get it working again after he was fired. I dont necessary believe it was opie, but the theory has a great deal of credibility, considering opies jealously and how his hatred of everyone on staff was basically cemented by this point, and I think he saw ant buying decent quality equipment and was genuinely jealous that SXM wasn't throwing money at o&a like they were for a bigger get like Howard. Even as howards star power faded, opie never wanted to acknowledge the stinklines the o&a brand had accumulated over the years, and why a corporation would be hesitant to satisfy their needs. Again, was it opie who blew the whistle on compound media? Who knows... but we can't exactly rule it out
Opie was the whistleblower for all folks making comments below. Opie had the problem with it, Opie went to management and he complained. Facts. Allllriiiiiight.

Nothing better than when board op, Opie, does the only thing that he could do, going to the phones, and it it backfires on him.. I loved when Greg, from Philly, called and completely obliterated Opie. Fuckin incredible!
It wouldn't take an Opie for Sirius bosses to get wind one of their top rated talent is doing his own podcast outside the contract. They were legit pissed and didn't like it and truth be told ended up being a big factor in Ant getting fired rather than suspended. They had enough and it was on top of the race rants tied into the race thing with Twitter. If Ant didn't do his Compound show then he may have gotten away from a firing.
commenting in 2017: would any company try to limit people this way now? Most would be ecstatic to have employees this zealous. It's almost unbelievable how blind their bosses were.
2021, some dude was fired from his paint job for making art on the side and showing it off to his followers, promoting his employer's paint for free while doing so. So yeah, bosses are still oblivious.
Anthony had the right to do his basement show. Just not while he was on contract with Sirius. He wouldn't have been arrested. They would have just fired him, which they eventually did anyway.
@@ryanc675 Not really. The First Amendment prevents Congress from making laws that suppress freedom of expression. Private contracts are not laws. That's why gag orders and separation/non-disclosure agreements exist.
@@FairsleyDifference yeah, which means no contract can ever have a clause which goes against the laws. Meaning you cannot write a contract which takes away your right to free speech, any contract written that way would be invalid. Sirius can never take Anthonys right to speak openly, especially in his own house and on his own time. They could have put in his contract that he's not allowed to host/broadcast for any other shows/programs or whatever, but its pretty clear that they never did that or they would have mentioned it in this video. So sirius is just making things up and saying he can't do it because they dont want him to, its that simple. They have no leverage at all in this situation, Anthony is totally free to keep doing his basement thing. If they fired him for it he would easily win his lawsuit. Thats why they fired him for something unrelated, it was the excuse.

And when he steals his “jokes” from instant feedback
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 valid point
I firmly believe that, somewhere deep in his diseased mind, Opie is a normal, marginally funny dude with a pretty good sense of humor. It's just covered up by insecurity and jealousy.
Opee tries everything to not go to that meeting with Antnee and the suites. I wonder why
Opie's Shaggy voice is particularly grating on this one.
The 4 day work week idea is seeded!
Rocky Dennis reference #59827277 for those counting.
Ha
Linger longer
jeesus,this was weirdly prophetic
opie was so obviously jealous, hmm mabee he was the snitch...
The popular opinion and a well believed theory. I doubt it.
Charles Copeland I believe it
@@The_Mr_Brown he knows how to work a board and take calls but I think recent years have proven he has no natural knack for any aspect of radio broadcasting. While anthony who used to install air conditioners set up an entire broadcasting network in his basement. I dont hate opie by the way. I do very much enjoy pointing out some of the more extremely cringy things he has done over the years as do alot of hardcore fans who still listen to old clips like this one.
Who knows... but we can't exactly rule it out
1:10:45 Caller has a point...
cougarhunter33 it was painful to listen to that thought...ugh
I was able to hear jimmy and ant roll their eyes through my screen
Opie was the whistleblower for all folks making comments below. Opie had the problem with it, Opie went to management and he complained. Facts. Allllriiiiiight.
So hard to listen to this. Opie so over the top guilty
1:10:50 this guy came out of nowhere and starts spitting facts.
OPIE’s funniest joke “i was just a caddie but I told my dad I have IDEAS” Lmao oh Opie
J G yeah he had to have been n then when Ant brought up Twitter, Opie was quick to say its a breach of Contract, but he wasn’t saying that at first about ants home studio show
Boo
I would bet that the board and higher ups listened to his home show and got freaked out about the racist stuff.
Steve from Yellowstone should have called Mega Pain.
ugh Opie just ugh STOP talking over people
Shut up, "King Asshole."
hes being defensive... because hes the snitch.
Nothing better than when board op, Opie, does the only thing that he could do, going to the phones, and it it backfires on him.. I loved when Greg, from Philly, called and completely obliterated Opie.
Fuckin incredible!
Opie trying to get up the courage to say "why dont you bring that effort to the show?" The slave driver psychopath .
The caller was right about Opie.
Yeah but only after ant left.
That heavy sigh at 5:35 can't imagine who did that.
Opie probably snitched, he said on a recent video that he knew Anthony wanted to leave the show when he did shows in his basement
Great now go get your head pat from your saviour douche Opie. It was obviously Opie that threw him under the bus for his show
We need these guys back cmon joe Rogan u can make this happen
commenting in 2017: would any company try to limit people this way now? Most would be ecstatic to have employees this zealous. It's almost unbelievable how blind their bosses were.
Hello from 2021, yes they do do this
2021, some dude was fired from his paint job for making art on the side and showing it off to his followers, promoting his employer's paint for free while doing so. So yeah, bosses are still oblivious.
@@Michael_Hunt Read your contract that you sign.
@@cjr1881 I didn't sign anything, the fuck you talking about? You drunk?
"a little bikini show"? I like Anthony but there is no denying that he's a creep.
Nothing compared to how big of a creep Jimmy is
"We're far more than shock jocks."
No. No you're not.
Idk why but the way they say soup infuriated me lol
his drivel about designer glasses.... fucking goosebumps. yuk
Opie asking what the guys down the hall are doing. Everyone else asking opie what he's doing.
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"
Opie more than likely had something to do with it
Why? Why? Why?? Because you ratted him out!
This is a perfect example of corporate America trumping individual rights
Yeah, maaaaaaaaann. Give the money to the people!!!!!!
Anthony had the right to do his basement show. Just not while he was on contract with Sirius. He wouldn't have been arrested. They would have just fired him, which they eventually did anyway.
Sirius XM is not the United States Congress. The First Amendment does not mean what you think it means.
1A trumps all contracts
@@ryanc675 Has nothing to do with contracts. Only federal law.
@@FairsleyDifference thats what I'm saying, 1A is federal law
His words to gods ear.
Station obviously knew what you were up to Ant - 🤷🏼♂️ compound media ?
Opie does a Chip impression @ 20:45
Now it appears that Anthony will have plenty of time to do Compound shows. Time for O&A to start a podcast.
Someone should send this to Anthony today....hmmmm.
The Opie comments are so hack at this point 😂 We get it…we get it! There’s no brownie points for clogging up the comment sections with that boring shit. It’s been years and years now
It definitely was Opie that went and cried about it
Leave it alone!!
Ha ha you will never have a proper viral video Opie... You can't even buy your dream.. ha ha....
Great Upload!
I was never in radio and I know that was a problem.
Opie is 100 percent the one who spoke to mgmt
42:11 Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoo!!
Hoodie hoo
16:24…got awfully silent…almost like some guilty red head knew Ant was on to him
why when these corporate meddling issues arise I instantaneously think its always Opie clandestinely involved? Lol Im positive thats not the case here but thats just my dumb thinking
Nah.. It was definitely Opie..
Opie definitely Tekashi 69'ed Ant.
Wow fast forward n look where we are now
WUD Love for Ant 2b able 2go on SXM& Interview the boss guys..Gurantee Opie got word that callers & chat rooms bash him during Ants LFTC show&decided 2call Bob& bitch that SXM needs 2end ants podcast..If u notice when Ant was fired & the trashing started. Opie wud constantly bring up "He was planning on moving on,he built an entire studio in his basement,if that's not a sign I don't know what is" Opie confirming he has no clue to what a sign is with his last statement..I think in reality,Opie was scared that SXM will see how funny Ant is without him & also see he can do a show by himself, unlike opie
Brent W u know that really makes sense
