Yeah adding some crowd cheering sounds is something we plan to do. We'll also make the crown change their expressions and look a bit more real. Thanks for reminding us though! And I'm really glad you like the new content. Another big update is coming very soon :)
Not wanting to ask for to much... but... i would LOVE to see a dwarven faction too. The little guys are just my favorites... and would be nice gladiators too...
Could be also be somewhat of a Merchant faction to go well with "People, Crown, Mages"...

@@g0lgrim1 thanks for the feedback! Yeah, dwarves are very interesting. We didn't plan exactly for their faction but they will play a major role in the main story and certain quest choices will lead you to the option to buy their dwarven fighters and mechs. We have new mechanical gladiators coming in an update that will roll out in about 2 weeks. And we'll add more in the future, as well as some new dwarf gladiators.

I love that the archer scales with strength best and the swordsman scales with agility, as it should be!
yea, you really have to go through each of the skills to figure out how you want to build each character. Agility fighters are really nice tanks with their block maxed out. fire mages are stupid strong, as their attack can hit like half the map when you max out their aoe.
Depends on how they use the weapon, but yeah
The archers acc scales with agi for dodge and accuracy damage is 5 str 4 agi once you got 100% acc you can toss more on str then agi. The knight gets 7dam agi 2 str but they get 7 blok on Str and only 1.5 per Agi making str far more important for them as a tank.
@@MrJeffreyrichards the reason Agi is so important for knight is cooldown reduction. their block costs no stamina, so it activates as soon as it's off cooldown. Maxed cooldown has it triggering pretty much every time they're hit, so usually I get enough agi to max cooldown reduction and then move over to strength.

15:30 Having a crowded arena is what every dev making an arena fighting game needs to do first and foremost. I especially liked Domina where the crowd threw stuff into the arena for the fighters to use.

I bought this last November and come back every so often when they put out an update. Can't wait for full release.
Like the character fighting animations, and of-course the orc winning air-guitar made me smile.

Your suggestions are constructive criticism. Devs don't have to do it, they may even be in the process of implementing something similar. I guess my point is its not like you're just complaining for the sake of it like some channels do.

If it doesn't exist yet, I'd love to see a guild building that lets you add quirks/flaws onto your gladiators. Especially if there are some crazy ones in the game, or even if there are some that require a combination of buildings to get. Quirks that drop spell effects, alter rewards, and prompt special dialogue from the npcs would be cool too.
They don't let you add/edit quirks, they roll randomly off the gladiators. Wouldn't be a bad suggestion for the discord.

Looks kinda fun. Though honestly in meager indie games like this, with a smallish or non-existent publishing company, I don't care about nor expect voice acting. If anything I feel it is more likely to sap the budget that would've been better spent on other parts of the game. Especially when it's not a narrative focused game to begin with.

Do wages increase over time as gladiators level up? Difficulty forcefully over time (like month 10 versus month 1) or is that more far away from home you are?

Risking your life for 30 coins does sound horrible...but they seem to be gold coins at least so you are risking your life for roughly $7400 - and that's at the entry level.

the game gave me some disenchantment vibes, it would be really cool if they managed to do a cross over event but that's beyond unlikely.

My only problem with the game is that once you go through the campaign once, what else is there to do? Run another randomized run when I've already cracked the prioritized traits I want? I like the game a lot, but they need to add traits as you said and give it more random events.
Maybe a roguelike infinite mode?
I always read these questions and think "Why would you ever re-play a game in 2022 when 100 new good games come out every year?"

Nothing would improve your videos more than fixing the audio so that the game isn't a millions times too quiet compared to your voice.

I don't know any other automatic shooters like VS but there's a lot of good horde survival twin-stick shooters like CrimsonLand, Tesla Force, #Killallzombies...
Nomad Survival, HoloCure (anime warning), Project Lazarus (just yesterday), Spirit Hunters are the ones I know about but VS is still the best
