We were actually waiting a while to get feedback from the players and get things a little more polished before sending you a key hahaha! But it's awesome anyway to see our game on your channel :) We've been releasing updates everyday based on the great feedback we've been receiving. Combat definitely needs another layer or 2. Abilities starting on cooldown (maybe with a skill to lower starting cooldowns), abilities using something other than stamina like the focus system he mentions, passives that happen on the enemies (or for enemies, that happen on your turn) to reduce opp stats or maybe increase your own (dodge attack/opp fumbles, slight damage bonus for next attack only). Looks kinda fun, but in its current state I'd get bored of it within an hour. Added to my follow list on steam!

another thing i really appreciate is the UI boxes and stuff. like for text, and the shop. they're not just a rushed plastered basic ugly thing...they match the look of the game, quite pretty, love the font, and simple enough to know exactly whats happening at first glance. a little more info on each stat, for the gladiator screen, and damn its just so solid

20:00 "Thought the damage would go down since we lost the STR bonus" ... your STR is only 8, the bonus was 20% of that which would be just 1 extra STR. Not a big change when your starting value is still such a low level. Probably would be more useful at higher STR, like when your STR hits 25 the bonus would bring it up to 30. Yeah, math. LOL
If they add a bunch of combat system this would be an awesome game can't wait for it to be finished! I watch splattercat so I don't have to play unfinished games lol!
I think this would be a perfect mobile game. Something to mess around with when traveling. But only if it was a one time purchase full access to the game situation. None of the usual mobile game things
Visually, the game looks great. The combat could definitely use some more depth, which most likely would come in through skills (maybe passives?). Would play beautifully as is on a mobile platform.

oh very cool! i enjoyed your video on Domina but just ended up not picking up that game, and most likely won't, but this game i really like the look of. the pixel art is incredible, and the gladiator theme is really neat. if this game end up having like an auto-battler feature thing like Domina that'd probably make it about perfect for me.

I think it's jarring how the combat command icons you click on to do things are at a totally different pixel resolution than the rest of the UI and game itself. I'd hope they can fix that while still keeping it clear what those command icons do.
yeah man I hate it when games force you to lose in some way to advance the story. I understand that it's a plot mechanism and you'll functionally end up wherever the developer wants you regardless of your perceived loss, it's just a feelsbad way of getting there
Unfortunately this looks like dullsville. A 2 button combat system is not really a "system" IMO. I would have hoped for maybe a card based combat (slay the spire) with special moves and combos that you could work for.
I played this, but it feels awkwardly in between Sword and Sandals or better ludus manager games. It's good but I wouldn't recommend this because other games are simply better (and have the same or a better pricing)

Eh, us gamers from the 1980's don't really like to look at trash graphics. We've seen it all before, for a couple of decades. So if they can't be bothered to make it at least look like it's from this century, I'm automatically not interested. It's not like the gameplay is fantastic or something. 99% of these games ain't no FTL or some rare bird. They're just a game that should've been released in 1991.

It's a bit weird how all the animations are on the same loop. All the audience breathe at the same time, the blacksmiths buckets swirl in time, etc.

Passives don’t add depth to combat, my brother. Active abilities do. Adding moves and combos. Not passive number buffs.

Nah that was more tactical right . It was more arpg-ish and when you got to a dungeon you chose which party member to play the dungeon with.
