    I played my first casino cash game last week. $1/$2. It's not easy. The nerves are definitely a factor.

      The best way I can explain my first time playing a live cash game. It was like a episode of dragon ball z, where I felt immense pressure coming off from the other players and that pressure was like gravity pushing me down lmao 🤣. For a 1/2 100 max buy in game.
      Now these days I roam mostly 2/5 and the occasion 5/10

      Just keep at it! I had terrible nerves when I first started playing, uncontrollable shaky hands etc. Still get a bit when I'm moving up in stakes, it's natural :)

    You are seeing a TON of MW flops. I think you should try bumping your RFI and raise after limp sizes up by a BB (5BB). See if it reduces the number of MW pots. If not, add another BB. I see the last hand you tried a different approach. I would just change your open size rather than opening a smaller amount plus a larger amount for limpers because the callers often come after your raise. Try 6 BB next time. :)
    AJss: This is why I think you should 3! preflop with this hand after a cold-caller, especially when you are going to be oop for the entire hand. As for bet sizing, this is a recreational player, and bet sizes are really only useful for ranging against good regs.
    Q9cc: Shaking hands mean villain is anxious. It doesn't necessarily mean he is strong. This betting line usually means weakness from a good reg, but I refer to AJss above about making decisions based on bet size against recs.
    AKo: Dealer should have stated "call" immediately when the chip landed. Do you think this turn, with a three flush and three to a straight, is overbluffed or underbluffed? I think villain has at least 2pr+ (KT, T9s, sets, flushes) as value almost always here, so if you are behind, you are almost always drawing to a flush, and you are 20% to hit the flush on the river. You need 32% to call 166 profitably. Can you make up the additional 12% with villain bluffs or overvalues here?
    T8dd: Why do you think you need to bet large when the turn is good for villain? I'd instead say that it affects the range you are willing to bet. Imo, you have numerous hands that are comfortable betting big for value. (You can have every combo of sets.) Because of that, you want to bet big. You shouldn't bet large because a card is good for villain. Imo, that usually means you should bet smaller because it causes more of your range to be marginal. But in this case, I think the bet size was just fine because your range bet means you can still have 55 and even 86s.
    T8hh: I think the turn bet was optimistic. Why do you want to get stacks in on the river? You are overbetting with a marginal hand. That's generally a bad idea, even with a flush draw. The end result shows why making a polar bet can be problematic with a non-polar hand.
    T9o: Ugh. Jamming into 4 players. None of these checks were indicative of hand strength. They were checking to the raiser. I would not discount sets when MP leads. Recs do all kinds of strange things. Maybe he thinks the flop is too scary and he wants to make sure he gets a bet in.
    LET'S GO 10K!

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried quite a bit upping the raise size, it didn't really work, kept upping it, still going very multiway, and getting limp reraised they win the max now. Had a $70 raise go 5 ways 😂
      AJ definitely 3bet pre
      T8dd: if the card is better for my opponent I do a lot less betting, narrower range for me = larger bet size
      T8hh I was more using pot geometry to get it all in OTR, and put his 1 pair type hands in a tough spot.
      10k is coming!!!!

    • @MaydayAggro
      @MaydayAggro ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BluffaloSam 5 ways for 70 is just nasty. I can get on board with most of the other things you said, although I'd be careful with basing your bet size on the portion of your range that is betting. Rather, I'd base my bet size on that range's nut concentration and how well it does vs villain's continues....

      @BluffaloSam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MaydayAggro It was supposed to be $45, but a sneaky green chip stowed away!
