You're awesome at breaking stuff down to make sense. I need to sharpen that skill as a teacher. Sometimes I'm silently thinking "why aren't you getting this" about my students, but I know I need to grow as a teacher.
jtika1978 That is a great insight to have. Many times we practice what we love & are so far from where we started that we struggle to keep it simple for the beginner. Try to think of it in the same way as when we learned to read, what are the letters, vowels, simple sounds, complex sounds... the steps, posture, arms, moves, the variations...
I found 2 ways helps teach someone.
1. Have actual enthusiasm when trying to teach a subject. Enthusiasm is infectious
2. Use RPG terms.
Seems pretty easy but when I tried it I looked like I was having a hard time with my arthritis.

I actually perform Thriller and other MJ songs with a dance branch and used to take a MJ style dance class. I could never get the MJ shuffle down until now. You broke it down and explained it better than my instructor. Now, I'm getting it. Plus, your variations are quite creative.

It took me a little longer to get this move than I wanted it to however I’m unable to kick both my feet out because a couple years ago I had foot surgery, and can only flick my right foot out not my left. So I’ve just stuck with the leaning to either side which looks good still but not as good as I would want it to look. This tutorial helped me so much the guy in the video does a fantastic job explaining each step.
Michael Jackson has many many years of dancing moves. Moon walk alone over 25 years DAM he was the BEST. .
