I love coming back to rewatch these. I had this phone back in the day when I sold phones and remember being such a geek about it. It is crazy how far phones have come.
Just got notification that my S22 Ultra just shipped and felt nostalgic to where my phone addiction started :) loved this S2 SR and now I'm happy to be jumping on the new S22 Ultra!
U have a couple of options to get rid of the slight lag from time2time. 1st, download launcher pro. Its a very basic launcher but it does have a 4d option for your app drawer which looks really cool & most importantly, it never lags. Another thing u can do is hold down ur home button, select task manager & clear memory. Sometimes thats helps. Personally I used go launcher & stayed away from some of the scrollable widgets & I never experienced any lag.
Thanks, ATT has one for $20.00. As opposed to GSII for a penny. Was comparing the two, then will compare to HTC models. The Gingerbread pack was not something I considered initialy. I will have to see if ICS is out now a quarter after your review.

I've had this phone for about two weeks now, awesome experience. I do experience some lag navigating the home screens though. I've installed a lot of apps, I wish the camera was better and it wasn't as laggy. otherwise I really like it.
I have the galaxy s2, I just got it about 3 weeks ago so I still have time to bring it back. Should I bring it back and get this phone or stick with the sg2?

locked means ur phone is locked to a particular carrier...like if you buy a verizon phone, u wont be able to use it on sprint because it is LOCKED to verizon's network...it will only work there...if u buy unlocked u can use it on multiple carriers...will usually come w/o AT&T, or Sprint ect branding...hope that helps...i purchased an unlockled phone and i am able to use it on AT&T or T-mobile
Question: i upgraded from a blackberry bold to the galaxy s2 skyrocket and they had to give me a new sim card bcuz my old one wouldnt work in my s2. Would i be able to put my new sim card in my blackberry and would it work?
i got VERY lucky and got the last white one in my town last week. they only sold one other person a white one. the white one is out but not all the stores have it yet i dont think
Okay, I got rid of my iPhone 4 and got the Samsung Skyrocket. But now I'm having some issues. It won't let me play SOME not all videos I get from an iPhone as a text message. I was also sent a video from an iPhone to my hotmail account and when I try to open the video it won't play it. Any suggestions? Should I go back to iPhone?
how is the video on this cause i have to windows phone samsung focus and the video is ok but the zoom sucks on pics and video if im taking videos about 20ft away its TINY or blurry
quick question ANYONE please help, i have this phone, but managed to crack the screen completely to the point where its all black and unresponsive, but the phone still turns on, all my pictures are saved to the internal memory and not an SD card, im trying to plug it in to my computer to view the files but i know there's something popping up on my phone asking me what i want to do with it when i plug it in, but i cant even touch it, is there any way around that? anybody please help ASAP

@PrinceT300 Try Paper Camera. It's processor intensive, but if your phone can handle it it allows for a cool hand-drawn sketch like effect on your pictures.
Android seems to be very demanding on the specs, I think google should be working on their OS so it can run smoother on lower specs, look at WP7 it is super fast and smooth and the specs are no where near as high as most Android devices.
I got samsung galaxy s2 lte, I like it alot because it is fast however I'm having some problem on the screen of my phone, it has blobs and vertical lines.
@malorey9711 considering it has one of the best processers for phones right now its not the phone, seems like your connections bad. Try turning off 4g.
@ImALefty08 U can also search youtube 4the samsung sg2 vs the samsung skyrocket & u can c the difference in the white balance out the box. Both super amoled + screens but the sg2 has no blueish tint at all.
@tvforyoureyes .....the signal is GREAT!!!! i had the iphone 4s and now my wife has it since i got this one...the reception is great!!! i got full bars when i had none to maybe 1 or 2 with the iphone 4s....overall this phone is AWESOME!!!

@ImALefty08 There's a screen adjust & u can change the contrast & adjust the saturation & brightness as well as the blues reds greens etc. The colors r very deep & the display is gorgeous but u can customize it anyway u want.
The Samsung GS 3 launches with 4.0 and will be upgrading to 4.1 in a few months. It also is a much faster phone and has better features then the skyrocket. If you have the extra cash I say go for the GS 3.
@superssj2 I'd say g2 skyrocket. better battery, dualcore vs singlle core, super almod+ >LCD (IMO) Android has more features, but wp7 isn't half bad. HTC has a bigger screen by .2 inch. This is all my opninion.

I don't know what you're talking about? I had my Skyrocket for a couple months now, and it has never lagged once. The camera is amazing too.

no. They gave u a new sim card because it is compatible with LTE. Blackberry isn't. Also, the sim cards are different.

i would go with the skyrocket, the nitro has nice specs for its price but it has nothing going on in my opinion
@gggzer It seems they're only spamming phones in the US, in europe they aren't producing nearly as many as this. HTC on the other hand...

@gx1000100 you can buy an unlocked G-Nex now from overseas...pop in ur at&t/TMO sim and enjoy...no need to wait for an official U.S. launch
