The longer sleeves are the reason teams like the Rams & NYJets [for example] have better looking uniforms back in the 70's '80s 90's than they do today...trivial, I know. but true.
The 80s were the most balanced era when it came to run/pass balance. There was both great run and pass offenses and teams that could do both, and teams attempted almost equal amount of plays of both kinds for the entire decade. Seriously, when you look at the attempts for both run and pass, it’s about 31 passes per game and 30 runs per game. It declined a bit to about 28 runs a game in the 90s and 32 passes.
This was the first NFL game I attended in the States (UK resident). I cheered at every score which meant I got the ocassional peanut thrown at me lol. I took a photo of Dickerson scoring, arm aloft and *neither* foot on the turf. #floating.
As was often the case prior to 1998, Tampa Stadium did not sell out for this game. Thus, it couldn't be broadcast on WTVT (now Fox) or Orlando's WCPX (now WKMG).

Look again at the first quarter tampa touchdown with wilder diving over the top.i think your incompletion referee is standing 10 feet from wilder after the touchdown. That referee does not signal a touch down. It makes you wonder does he have a agenda against my Bucs

With this win the Rams go to 8-5, they clinch a playoff spot in Week 14 vs New Orleans win a win and in Week 15 vs Houston Eric Dickerson breaks O.J. Simpsons record of 2,003 yards rushing. The Rams host a playoff game vs New York Giants but lose the NFC Wild Card Game 16-13. After the season DE Jack Youngblood announces his retirement from football and QB Vince Ferragamo is traded to the Buffalo Bills. The rest of the decade of the 80s the Buccaneers never finished above .500
Yep and the redskins dismantled them 51-7 in the playoffs rams just couldn't enough around Eric Dickerson offensively and defensively but they came up against a great bears team redskins teams forty niners
Jack Youngbloods final season. Still had an impressive 9.5 sacks in 15 games. The guy was toughness personified

growing up in the 80s I liked these uniforms,but I always loved the blue an white.
This November those two teams will play on CBS i hope they wear their 1984 uniform

Hank Stram somehow always struck me as an idiot for no reason other than how he looks and talks.
