The second rule is that everyone is fighting for second, due to the guy named Carlsen winning all of the time. Sometimes he gets paid to throw and take 2nd or third
I love the between-game clips, and I think more footage from the fan zone / pub would be a great addition--especially if any fans would like to share their thoughts / be interviewed. I bet lots of online viewers would love to hear from Eric, Aman, etc, along with random other fans.
2:36:24 It was equal. But Wesley has 1 second left on the clock!! So he has to move, but he pushed his h pawn instead of putting his king to g5. He allowed Magnus to push his f pawn. One mistake, & it was over. That's the effect of time pressure, Wesley played perfectly but he had 1 second on the clock, & made a mistake.
Been watching every match every day, love it, so exciting! Thank you so much! One critique may be to brainstorm and diversify interview questions. A good rule of thumb may be to avoid asking questions which are repetitive or whose answers may be guessed with almost perfect accuracy. For instance, “what’s your plan with the white pieces?” Will inevitably evoke the answer, ‘I’ll try to win, but my exact opening is a secret.’ Asking “how do you feel?” After a loss is perhaps insensitive as well as evoking an easily guessable answer, “. As an interviewer one has an amazing opportunity to evoke special and insightful answers, and I am glad to see when pride is taken in selecting insightful questions. Thank you again so much for the awesome contentand production!
Great points. I would hope the team strives for excellence and well-receives our suggestions -- which I am sure they will. This is a great opportunity to have input into what we are seeing -- which after all is a huge time commitment to watch the whole thing. I think the team and the production overall is excellent (after first couple of days of tech issues) and will become even better.
I love this style of showing chess. I can stream it in my pub with music on with no issue when someone wants to follow the game because all the information is there without needing the commentary
I've been following this event and I must say that chess is truly a remarkable game, not just in terms of strategy but also in spirit. The battles between great players like Magnus, Wesley, and others are not just a test of intellect, but also a lesson in patience, focus, and creativity. Each game is a treasure trove of valuable lessons and endless inspiration for both players and fans alike. I'm particularly impressed with the organization and production of this event. The between-game clips and post-game analyses are both engaging and educational. We get to enjoy not just top-level chess games but also learn from insightful analyses. Chess is more than just a game, it's a journey of self-improvement, a way of life. Let's share and spread this passion to everyone, so that chess continues to grow and become an integral part of global culture.
Why are they always trying to find beef where there isn’t any. “Magnus surprised” “Magnus offended” cheese and rice -.- he is so chill i dont think its easy to “offend” Magnus Carlsen
By sometime before 1:00:00, both playes have been in severe time-trouble needing to likely play dozens of moves in a few minutes, but in a rare lapse by the team, it was not mentioned (unless I missed it) for quite a while. The board is certainly incredibly interesting but in light of the time, it changes the overall picture. What a game so far.
Been watching all week y’all are killin it. Absolutely love what y’all are cooking for chess. Love the format love the coverage. Magnus is a fuckin savage
I’m just a beginner chess player but man magnus is a savant his end game at every style is creative. Wesley saying he’s been living in his head when an opponent admits that crazy 🤦♂️ draws draws draws nah lol I was hustling him 🤣 another genius sitting on the other side. I love the analysis because justchess can be boring but I love the way you guys do the production & shine the light in to entertainment
Let's take a poll. Are you watching the moving camera on the players faces, or, the small little chess board on the bottom right? You want to grow viewership, this is an important question to answer so you show the appropriate image in the big area for ease of watching.
Since when does youth have anything to do with chess ability?😂. He’s 33. I would say that he’s still developing! Sure he has all the strategies. But the mental maturity and experience is forever developing
I'm puzzled as to why Magnus and Wesley sometimes take so long to make "normal" opening moves...in a well-known position with little or no immediate risk! Wasting time on these "normal' opening moves means having that much LESS time later in the game...when time will be of the essence!
thought the same thing... a little odd to see them playing it like its classical and then get into time trouble like wesley did but they must have their reasons of course...
You must be fan of hikaru, fast in the opening but lost in the endgame🤣.. opening choice will affect your position either way in the middle game or end game, only top gm knew this
First time watching a chess tournament. I literally know nothing but this is very entertaining.
learn basic rules, would 'be much fun then

magnus looking appalled by 1. b3 on the first game is hilarious to me 😭
both played extremely solid chess, looking forward to set 2

98.1% accuracy 😦

Magnus is in shock! 😂
first game was a lesson of courage in chess from magnus
I like Wesley, seems like a generally nice guy.

Magnus is wild
Wonderful..................I will like to participate in any of the future tournaments
Funny to see Julius Bär in the TV ads, being that they have fallen a bit side ways from the SIGNA fall.
98.1% accuracy?! I think i know someone that might find this number interesting
My very first chess official match and it lived and surpassed the expectations.
Producers, could you just have the live chess board the biggest frame for the whole game please?
can some1 tell me where can I get the 0:42 bg wallpaper?

I cant believe they keep focusing on the players you can hardly see the board set up. I'm watching this on a cell phone not a desk top
19:20 for sports writing kiddies
200 000 dollars for magnus and 100 000 for Wesley not bad. At the same time they look like enjoying the game. 😊.
2:37:00 mega g
Gotta make the game board view bigger! Especially as time winds down because that's what we're looking at! Come on, now.
Magnus has such a strange walk lol
It’s not so unusual to see him walk like that

2:36:58 - Magnus - The GOAT 🐐 Wins!! With Black 🤍🌟💯💫🥇
Who thinks the match wont go to set 3 ☠️
Carlsen plays really good chess. He’ll surely win many games.
Yeah a very promising young player
possibly a future olympian and could even medal. fantastic beginnings to what could be a successful chess player

Tanja looks so pretty.
The Undisputed GOAT.
Like politicians, 90% of what the commentators say sounds ok because they say it so enthusiastically but doesn't happen.
everytime Tania is an analyzer I click away, the ego, the blasphemy jsut unprofessional and the accent is kinda hard to understand

Nah, screamers are cool. And that "initiative" pronunciation. I dig that.
Same here I really don't like the way she speaks, sorry for my rude opinion 🥴
Her screeching voice, the over-exaggerated hand gestures, the constant talking...saying the obvious.🤦♀🙉😵
Do we really need those commentators? I felt irritated every time they switch screens for predictions.
