An eternal winter begins for Suleiman after Hürrem's death. Suleiman leaves the magnificence in palace and falls into a deep silence. Hürrem's death will change not only Suleiman's life but everyone's. Bayezid loses his biggest support after his mother's death. However, Selim wants to take Rüstem on his side. Rüstem gets cornered after Selim finds out his secret even though he is determined to stay loyal to Bayezid. Nurbanu declares her era has begun. Nurbanu gets shocked by what the fortune teller who has oracled to Hürrem tells her.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Selim's patience and cunningness is frowned upon whereas Bayazid's aggressiveness and stupidity is overlooked. Just because Bayazid is a better fighter than Selim doesn't make him a better fit for the throne. Selim played the same way young Hurrem played and guess what?? Both won.
Selim was always on Hurrem's side even when Mustafa was alive, whereas Bayazid was too influenced by Mustafa...so much that he was ready to go behind his mother's back.
Only when he needed Hurrem's support Bayazid started to treat Hurrem with respect.

yeah ofc, the less honest and more dirty you are the more chance for you to win in a bad system like monarchies had in the old days. what surprises me is how they governed their kingdoms after murdering theeir own blood without losing their minds due to ptsd. normal people would suffer rest of their lives because of guilt but maybe they did suffer but they were better than us at living through the pain so that they could run their kingdom with sane mind.@@saraurbanova4503

I'm not surprised Lala Mustafa did this. For years, he tried to mentor Beyazid and guide him to be considered fit for the throne. But Beyazid ignored him for years; doing everything the exact opposite that Lala Mustafa told him to do. When he warned Beyazid about being involved with Hurichan, Beyazid told him to shut his trap. Lala Mustafa tried to make Beyazid make peace with Selim for Hurrem's sake, but he didn't listen either.
It's no wonder that Lala Mustafa decided he had enough of being ignored and berated by a prince that had no self control.

He was a man. …not a child. She did as much as she could for them. Probably more fr Bayezid. And even that he never appreciated. Accord8ng to series, she gave him more preference….and still he acted with no respect towards her and everyone else. Especially sultan. Like a Mustafa he was given many many opportunities but acted immature …they both were to blame for their own actions as neither was a child. @@kassyqueen8089

Very sad when Bayazid tries to bow down to Suleyman and sultan doesn’t allow him to kiss his hand. As a Sultan he needed to be strong ..as a father I am sure it was tough move. Sad their bond was broken….BaYazid was my favorite along with Mehmed….but sadly Bayazid never could repress his emotions and actions. The fact he did not and the fact he couldn’t run his palace without having to ask for monetary help from Mihrimah say a lot. As a humani feel sad for hi. But as a prince he failed time after time, no way he could be ever be the chosen heir. Just like mustfa their ego and emotions were their downfall. To be a Sultan you must be disciplined, strong and think with your mind not the heart.

Bayezid's rudeness is really so irritating. In the end there was a lot of pain in Suleiman's eyes Seeing them both like this, he was dealing with this issue very patiently even though he was sad, but Bayezid's rudeness made him angry.

I can’t understand you fools that talk bad about bayezid when clearly selim was evil and cruel.Yes bayezid couldn’t control his anger, but that’s no where near being an alchoholic and a murderer. The one whose deserved the throne was bayezid. The Caliph of Islam should be someone pious and god fearing. Not someone who drinks and lies and deceives.Selim whouod never have taken the throne. His reign was certainly the inception of the downfall of the Ottoman dynasty and the Islamic world

  • @beanentrepreneur1

Well Bayezid himself also is wrong. Here he never listened to Lala's advice nor respected him and now he was suddenly seeking his help .I will not criticize Lala for changing his Side but the way he did it was disgusting. he should have told Bayezid after Hurrem's death that he is no longer with him. After all, he has been his teacher for so many years.
