I love how TH-cam allows so many of us crafters both within and across disciplines, share our ideas, skills, techniques etc, and then each person can go away and find ways to make it work in their own styles!
Wow!!! I didn’t think I could admire you more, but come on… you’ve got pink q-tips?!!! You’re the coolest ever 😂 Okay, reining in my inner teenager who sprung loose without permission; I absolutely love what you made in this video! I love the frosted glass look, and I was quite happy with the pieces after you’d sanded them. Then you put on the extra resin, and like you said - magic. Everything popped. Gorgeous! 💗👏
Kinda reminds me of carnival glass! My imagination wants to make some not so 'cookie cutter ' shapes that have tumbled in the surf to wash up on the sand at my feet ! Thanks, Deb!
This is a really cool technique! I love the way the resin looks with the alcohol spritzed on. I primarily watch clay and resin content creators on TH-cam. I was watching another tutorial the other day and heard the creator say "chippy-choppy." I immediately thought of you, your term is catching on!
@clayboutique I can't remember! It was late and the TH-cam algorithm suggested this tutorial. If I remember correctly, it was someone just getting started with either clay or the tutorials themselves. I didn't recognize the name at least, and she seemed kinda new at it. If she pops back up I'll let you know who it was
I decided to go back and see if I could find it, it was LynzCratfz Designs (spelling may be wrong). She's apparently not new lol, like I said it was late and I was half asleep. I'd just not heard of her yet. It was a turquoise tutorial. But I'm pretty sure I've heard others use chippy-choppy, too. I use the phrase all the time, there's really no other way to describe that technique!
These are so beautiful. Your creativity is beyond. My apologies I’ve been kind of absent. Dental stuff-argh! And depression. I do watch every video, and “like” …on my big screen, because you are a delight . But then remembering to go to my phone to leave comments….well certain things don’t get done and napping happens a lot. But thank you for what you teach us. ❤
Ok Deb. I had put all of my claying things away a while back. I've kept watching your tutes, though because I love them. This one, however, has me getting all of my stuff back out. I had to order some things, but I will be doing this tomorrow the moment the rest of my supplies get here. I can not wait. Thanks for being you and doing what you do!
What a neat idea, turned out very pretty. For those of us who would have trouble free-handing the final resin design, could you use a small stencil to add the design, then lift-off the stencil slowly to avoid disturbing the design, then curing? Anyway, really cool idea!
I absolutely LOVE ❤️ these!!! I was thinking, you know what would be amazing to add?? A (shabor ? ) strip in the similar colors to be used as a necklace cord!! You did a beautiful job on these Deb! TFS ❤
You are very welcome!! In the past 2 years I have learned so much from your tutorials. You deserve much much more. A small amount but comes straight from my heart 💜
Thank you. Now, that’s a tricky one. Once I’ve covered the whole piece, I let it sit for a minute, and right before I put it under the uv lamp, I just drag the resin to the edges, again. Unfortunately, you can’t stop it from happening, but some resins pull more than others. The one I used today does, but JDiction, listed in my Amazon storefront really doesn’t.
Hi, I'm one of your subscribers and I've been actively following your videos, learning a lot from them. I've noticed that you use various translucent clays, such as Cernit, Premo, and Sculpey. Are there any significant differences among these, or can I choose any one of them for my projects?
I used 70% and 91 % tried a little and then more and then more. Let it sit for 2 Min, then 4 then 6 before curing. I think it might be because my uv lamp is flat and not curved?? Thanks for the link! And advise.
I used:
Cernit translucent clay
Colors from the Meyspring Gem Stone Mica powders collection
UV resin
Colored UV resin
Isopropyl alcohol 91%

Thank you! I was trying to make icicles and couldn't figure out how to make ripples and drips. This covered both.

Love you more 💜
those are really pretty, nice job
Thank you! 😊
Looks very nice! Daniel Cooper has a very good tutorial using this technique just using resin. ❤
Thank you.
Name doesn’t ring a bell, so I don’t think that’s where I saw the technique.
Actually, you’re right. I did get the idea from him. Thanks!
I’ll list his video in the pinned comment.

You could always try that! Or get small resin mold, and make the designs, that way.
Amazing Tutorial!!!!!! I love it and will try soon!
So pretty
This is FAB! Thanks so much for this tute!
You’re welcome!
Luscious!
I love it, I love it, I love it. This tutorial is way beyond the norm and such a terrific idea. Did I mention that i love it?
I think you said you loved it…I may be mistaken, though 🤣
Thank you!
Simply BEAUTIFUL Deb. I love the simplicity of them. ❤Gail

Wow, such a beautiful technique.
I love this technique so much I’ve had a creative block but I’m going to try this with different colors and mediums.
Awesome! I love the frosted look.❤
I so love your tutorials Deb. Thank you.🙏💕
I absolutely LOVE ❤️ these!!! I was thinking, you know what would be amazing to add?? A (shabor ? ) strip in the similar colors to be used as a necklace cord!! You did a beautiful job on these Deb! TFS ❤
Sari ribbon?
Thank you!
Yes Deb, that’s it!!! I never said I was very bright! lol 😂
Noooo….i think you were thinking shibori ribbon
That is sooooo cool! I think I might have a go at this technique. I wonder how a more translucent (Pardo) would work. Love it! ❤❤❤
I like the effects from the norm! :)
Beautiful my friend!! I love the opaque look 🩷
Before the sanding, the round one looked just like abalone! This is a really cool technique, thank you for sharing 👍😍✌️😊
I absolutely love this❣️ I’ve always loved the frosted look & now I can do it myself bc of you! Thank you so much
Quedan muy bonitos.😘

You are very welcome!! In the past 2 years I have learned so much from your tutorials.
You deserve much much more.
A small amount but comes straight from my heart 💜
I know that it does, and I truly appreciate it 💜
So lovely. Makes me quite envious - can't get Lightwish Resin delivered here in NZ 😞
Any resin will work
@@clayboutique I had a lightbulb moment last night - can get it from Amazon Australia. Yippee
Love it
So pretty ❤ Great tutorial, as always! What is your best advice to get the edge from drawing away with the UV resin🤪
DEb, I use resin a lot. When you want to wipe off resin from your work, follow up the clean with your alchocol. I like your tute, of course.
I do.
Thank you
I was thinking without the white back these could be beautiful suncatchers in the window. One larger and some smaller hanging in a strip.
Hi, I'm one of your subscribers and I've been actively following your videos, learning a lot from them. I've noticed that you use various translucent clays, such as Cernit, Premo, and Sculpey. Are there any significant differences among these, or can I choose any one of them for my projects?
You can use any, as I usually say, but Cernit is clearer than Premo, and Pardo is clearer still.
Green could be peridot?
Could be lol
I can not get this to work for me. Do you have a link to the tutorial of the way you use plastic wrap that you mentioned? I can't seem to find it.
What strength alcohol did you use?
You may need to spray a little more alcohol on the pieces, and let it sit for a minute, before curing.
th-cam.com/video/nt19uFxtZGI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bSv9_5XGPf3KVvv0
I used 70% and 91 % tried a little and then more and then more. Let it sit for 2 Min, then 4 then 6 before curing. I think it might be because my uv lamp is flat and not curved?? Thanks for the link! And advise.
I honestly don’t know. Sorry I can’t be any more help.
I think he tutorial was by Daniel Cooper.
