My sister and I used to watch this show in the afternoon after school. We loved it. I am so very sad to hear about Rik Mayall's untimely death. What a huge loss. He will be greatly missed. There will never be another Rik. RIP
OH MY GOD!!!!! IT'S GRIM TALES!!!!!! I thought this was something else. I used to LLOOOVVVVEEEE this!! I am 31 now and I remember watching this. I saw all of them as a kid. GREAT!!!!!
Thank you to whoever put this on youtuube. I remember watching these years ago when I was a teenager and just loving them. The VHS were on EBAY at one time but I lost out on them....shame they never made it to DVD.
Loved this when I was younger. Always a rude undertone going on :P Still got this and 4 other episodes on vhs... Not that I have a vhs player any more, darn.

We still have our videos of these - we had the blue and the green ones, I always wanted the pink one for the extra stories but we never got it :( This must be one of the definitions of my childhood though!
there are similarities here between him telling the stories and his character Drop Dead Fred the funny noises facial expressions and the naughtiness he he love him he is sexy too R.I.P Rik u absolute legend xxxxxxxxxxx
You are the most epic of the epic epickers for posting these. Thanks VERY much! This is the closest thing to a DVd release I think we'll ever get though ._.
Has anyone seen Jim Henson's The Storyteller? This show is that show, if they had spent all the money they needed for puppets, actors, costumes and sets on crack. And they are both quite cool in my opinion. Rik Mayall FTW.
Poor Rapunzel, a strange man that climbs up your hair and asks you to marry him the first time he sees you, can't really be that much of a winner. -Paul
Hilarious!!! Rik Mayall is definitely a comic genius... I remember seeing this on CBBC or CITV after school in the 80s.... Mayall is on par with, if not better than Atkinson, Fry, Williams, Carrey, Myers and all the rest of em....
@Mitchell89Oasis And wat a wonderful time that must have been. In my younger days i loved Bottom, The Young Ones and Drop Dead Fred. It was only later I got into all the other stuff. Have you read his autobiography. Av just started rereading it again and it is so funny.
@VGRetro I know he is in a band now but he cant just quit comedy. He will probably be taking a lengthy break. (I hope). Him and Rik Mayall still have a series to do in the future when their two pervie old men in an old peoples home anyway.
@Mitchell89Oasis Defo buy the book. He's not completely serious about his life in it. But it is a brilliant read. He even meets God after his quadbike accident. My personal fave character from his career is Richie in Bottom. That is probably my all time fave show. I do love Alan B'stard though and it was boss when he came back. I wud have loved a second series of All about George'. We are defo missing Rik Mayall on our screens. Did u watch Teenage Kicks with Ade Edmonson. That was brilliant.
@Mitchell89Oasis Its about a middle age man who has seperated from his wife and has moved into his son and daughters student flat. He is trying to relive is punky younger days and be a student again while embarrasing his kids. It is really funny and I hope they bring a second series out. I bought it of Play for £3.99 and its more than worth it. I wud defo recomend u buy it.
Haha, I used to love this as a kid. They should re-run some of the old stuff instead of all the rubbish kids shows and mind-numbing cartoons they have these days.
Hang on... so Rapunzel was 13 when she got locked up, and then after 'a year or two' the Prince creeps in and they conceive twins. What country is this set in?
