My favorite part? The shining reference with the wolf, leading to the chaos as the kids try to hide. "The fifth jumped down the toilet and pretended to be a big poo that wouldn't go away." That sequence always has me in stitches even though it's supposed to be scary.
These and the stuff Rik did on Jackanory (George's marvellous medicine) are just as good now as an adult rewatching them with kids, as they were all those years ago watching them as a kid. Thanks for the upload
Cheers for uploading this. This was the first thing I saw him in and now he has sadly passed away it feels appropriate to look these up again. RIP Rik.
Rik was excellent in everything he did & Grim Tales was ace, been a fan of his for 25+ years. The news of his death really saddens me dearly, never had the honour of meeting him but have seen him live in Bottom, Bad News & him doing stand up. R.I.P Rik you will be greatly missed by thousands :-(
My favourite bit was when the mom finds billy up the tree and goes " You get down here at once young man". It makes me laugh and this series is so underated xxx
Just found out Rik Mayall has passed away... Shocking! All the media mention his performances in Blackadder, Bottom, the Statesman, etc. etc. But I also fondly remember his performances in Grim Tales. So thanks for sharing them!
I watched this when I was 5 years old maybe.. and since then I was wondering who and what it was and now finally I found it.. wow I only remembered it was a men with a chair

Agreed, because who hasn't had that 'big poo' problem?
"just because someone's bigger than you doesn't mean you should let them push you around", well said!
R.I.P Rik Mayall. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
Best childrens tv show narrator ever!
And then one particularly sensitive and articulate kid will say,

I remember watching all these as a little kid. What an amazing story teller this guy is.
That sip of nostalgia did me some good.

This is my favourite episode of the series. Loved Rik Mayall’s storytelling in this one in particular.

I get that you're just joking, but this actually predates the film.

I've heard of Anthony Horowitz I'm surprised he would write these episodes and indeed these stories in such an amateurish way
